Jessica St. Marks De’ Lune has it all. She is the famed white wolf of legends. Her mate was destined to be King, and they’re having a baby. Happily ever after is only a heartbeat away for them!
Unfortunately, female wolves are disappearing. Hunters of old, who were made to kill the dark ones, are now hunting their kind. The dark ones have surfaced, and to top that off, a very unique and unheard of prison break make happily ever after seem like it’s never going to happen.
It’s going to take a miracle, maybe several, to bring Jess’s people together, keep them safe, and bind them to a common cause. If it works, they may all just find a little bit of happy. If it doesn’t, she’s damned them all to hell.
Christine M. Butler writes under several pen names. The Christine M. Butler name is being retired in 2023 and all books will be shifted to publication under Christine Michelle and/or Anne Storm.

I think this series would have made a better trilogy. It could have been wrapped up quite nicely at the end of the third book & a bunch of new stuff was brought in at he last minute to make this one work. Having said that I still really enjoyed it. It's short, fun, easy to read & the characters are so likeable.
My man is back and I don't care what anybody says I love him and I enjoyed reading this book I loved seeing him and Jess start a new chapter in their life. Mikael he is there for his woman unless she starts to cause him pain, "it's okay, baby, just squeeze my hand," Mikael offered. I squeezed. He yelped. "Maybe not that hard," he pouted." I loved seeing the playful side of Mikael and he's not afraid to show how devoted to his woman he is, "yes, ma'am." He bowed slightly towards me while Evan made the sound of a cracking whip. "Yeah, well, I'm okay with being whipped, brother." He's still possessive and protective, "damn it, Jess get away from that window! You're not wearing anything and you know there are guards down there." He was behind me, spinning me to face him when he noticed the window. The shade was all pulled all the way down. "You little minx!" He picked me up over his shoulder then and took me back to the bed, tossing me down none to gently. "So, you want to play dirty, huh?" He doesn't like when other interrupt his time with his woman, "besides the fact that you just interrupted my mate and I in an intimate moment?" Mikael growled out. "Not to mention you're still standing there completely naked!" I can't wait to see what the spin off series brings to us.
I'm confused. I thought Jess had already found out that Ashley was two months pregnant from the previous book? I purposely re-read that part before continued on the rest of the book. Here are the snippets of the conversation.
Now, about the conclusion to the Ancients series, it's a bittersweet ending. Some loss and gain, and as usual, I can't see the loss as necessary. I wish the author change that part! The prologue is a nice touch, tho.
There's also another aspect that I would like to find out more about, such as Natalie's power and origin that wasn't told in this book any further. But that also leaves the author some room to come up with a series for them.
You'd think that with Malachai, Zach, Sophia and the sisters dead or imprisoned, all threats to Jess as the White Wolf would be over..... Wrong!! This book starts with Jess giving birth to Willow. She's not overly impressed with the whole childbirth thing and aside from wanting to punch her mother or trying to break Mikael's hand whenever a contraction hits, everything is hunky dory.
Baby Jack gets kidnapped which leads Jess down a dark path to get him back and it's not clear whether either of them will return alive. We finally meet Layla who helps Jess on her quest but it's made worse by the fact that Mikael is away with her dad trying to track an errant hunter so with the exception of Layla and Gabriel, she is on her own.
As I've come to expect, there are plenty of twists as well as heartache and joy. This has been an amazing storyline and I'm really excited that the author has written a trilogy involving the Daniels clan who played a primary role in this series.
2.5 stars. I really enjoyed this series until this book. IMO, it was a train wreck when compared with earlier outings. None of it worked. It felt rushed, the grammatical mistakes were even more prevalent and the plot stretched the bounds of credibility. Thinking dispassionately, this could have been a real emotional powerhouse of a book but it comes across as vapid and perfunctory.
I have no problem recommending this series as a fun and engaging werewolf read but my advice is to skip this instalment. IMO it detracts rather than adds to the series.
I was mostly satisfied with the conclusion of this terrific series. However, there were just too many unanswered questions to be truly happy with the way things ended. When will Louis be back? Will he ever try to take vengeance? What happens now? Shoot, what happened in all the freaking time in-between??
Other than the minimal amounts uncertainty, I can be content with the ending that I received from my St. Marks Pack family. They truly are an inspiring pack to behold!
I know there were some issues with the initial version of this book that was uploaded to Amazon which was why I gave it another go after discarding the sample I first download.
However I'm afraid I'm gonna have to DNF it as I'm already starting to get annoyed at 8% in.
I think I'll just consider the story finished at book three instead.
Was great, although the first and second I thought were better. I just hate it that her father died and that it didn't finish with at least seeing willow's point of view of current events although would have like to read more about her and Michael's relationship. Either way I would definitely mark as a MUST READ!!

I loved this entire series so much that I finished it in a little over a week! This awesome story keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering what will happen next. Definitely recommend reading this series!
A lovely ending to the series however again like the third book there wasn't as much detail in this book compared to the first two books. There were also a lot of new minor character names which was hard work to keep track of.
I really enjoyed this series. I had a hard time putting them down!!! The only bad part is that I finished the Ancient series. I anxiously await the next books to come out The Daniels Clan.
I was really touched by the story line. It showed that the love of a parent and a child is so strong. I laughed and cried. I didn't want the book to end.
