“Time is the great illusion; we are all but fleeting events in its endless dance”.

What truly captivated me about ANTHARA-1 was its original concept—a brilliant blend of advanced space science and timeless Vedic wisdom. The way Dr. Seshu KMR interweaves quantum physics, AI, and philosophy is nothing short of mesmerizing. The narrative constantly shifts between suspenseful action and deeply introspective moments, urging readers to reflect on the illusion of time, the purpose of existence, and our place in the universe.

The philosophical undertones like “Time doesn’t belong to us; we belong to time” linger long after reading. The visual imagery, cultural richness, and intellectual depth make it more than just a sci-fi thriller—it’s an experience that stirs both the mind and the spirit.

This book is not just about the future—it’s about how the ancient and the modern can coexist, offering a hopeful yet questioning view of human progress.

What if the key to the future lay not in wires and algorithms, but in the forgotten syllables of an ancient chant? This book by the author is a refreshing and thought-provoking novella that flips the script on traditional science fiction. It dares to imagine a future where humanity doesn’t just race forward with technology, but turns inward, to the timeless wisdom of its roots.

Set in the year 2047, this book introduces a pathbreaking concept: a spaceship powered not by conventional fuel, but by the vibrational energy of Sanskrit mantras. This isn’t just a sci-fi adventure, it’s a philosophical journey through time, consciousness, and the enduring relevance of Vedic knowledge. Within its concise 80-90 pages, the book skillfully balances intellectual curiosity with spiritual depth.

As the story unfolds, we meet a group of committed scientists who find themselves caught between skepticism and awakening as they tap into a cosmic force far older than any machine. The book doesn’t just explore outer space, it invites readers to consider the inner dimensions of human evolution.

Personally, I found this blend of mysticism and modern science deeply engaging. Though I wished for more character development, the core idea was so unique that it stayed with me. For those curious about cosmic frontiers and cultural wisdom, this book is a perfect short weekend read.

Dr. Seshu KMR's 'Anthara-1' is a small but effective space thriller that cleverly weaves advanced science fiction with age-old spiritual wisdom. Based in a near-future India of 2047, the story revolves around a clandestine space mission that explores the limits of time, consciousness, and the cosmic order itself.

The author's strength is how he combines complicated ideas such as quantum computing, AI, and zero-point energy with spooky Vedic mantras to provide an eerie psychological tension in the story.

The novel delves into deep philosophical issues regarding destiny, sacrifice, and the constant conflict between order and chaos within a fast-paced and interesting plot. 'Anthara-1' is not only a page-turner; it's a contemplative exploration of the possible price tag of human advancement and a challenge to what really lies outside our normal sense of reality. It's an engrossing jewel for fans of science fiction with a rich, spiritual center.

I have always been on the lookout for books which surprise me but also take me out of my comfort zone so that I get to explore the thought processes of different authors with their exploration of their genres, as we need that hook to reel us in. Well, for this one, the cover got me in, featuring a devout Indian Pandit on the cover. I felt there was going to be something uncanny to look out for.

For context, this book is based in 2047, where a spaceship by name Anthara is being launched into space. The uncanny element is, the spaceship is powered by age old Sanskrit Vedic mantras, and the story follows its journey across the launch, and the ups and downs it faces, creating a tangent of plot where each chapter melds in with a mantra relating to time, that makes it quite an intriguing read.

Well the book didn't disappoint, I got pulled in right away. Despite it being a short book with a shorter number of characters, it did pack quite a punch, and there were so many different plot points that made the plot thicker and thicker.

The only con was, there was a lack of depth noticed with few gaps, which made it for a good read, but the ending was not satisfying enough, especially for someone who is new to Vedic Mantras, but then this book could be a good intro for someone wanting to get into scifi-based Indian fiction.

Anthara is a science fiction novella that dares to tread . This book imagines a world where humanity's pursuit of knowledge and power has led to the fusion of cutting edge artificial intelligence with the primal forces evoked by the sanskrit mantras. The contrast of science and mysticism opens up an entirely new exploration journey. A journey that blurs the border between technology and transcendence.

What stands out in this book according to me is it's concept. It's my first time reading this genre yet I loved reading it. In just 80-90 pages this book consists of a compelling vision of a future where cosmic energy , time and consciousness are not only used as scientific frontiers but spiritual one's too. The narrative moves briskly but not without depth.

While the plot moves quickly , it still leaves a lasting impression on us. Anthara is the type of book that is bold and fills our soul with immense knowledge. It offers a unique entry point in the world of science fiction for those who are curious about the spiritual way of human progress.

Timeless wisdom, cosmic journeys.

Set in 2047, The crux of the plot is about reckless space exploration for cosmic energies, time, and consciousness, energized by sacred Sanskrit mantras releasing energies unknown to humanity. This remarkable fusion of modern science and spirituality creates a vivid world, a world in which AI, advanced computing systems, and Vedic mantras exist side by side, thus urging readers to rethink the very limitations of knowledge and existence.

In just 100 pages, the curious balance achieved between thrilling adventure and philosophic meditation will make one ponder human relationships with time and the cosmos. While some may want more character development, it is the novel's incredible concept and its seamless melding of realism with mythical overlays that grant it its power.

Those unfamiliar with science fiction or Indian lore with its great religious background transfigured into a futuristic odyssey will find Anthara-1 an awe-inspiring, fast read, extending a big hand of respect toward the timeless powers of the Vedas.

Anthara by Dr. Seshu Kmr is a mind-blowing concept that is brought to life. Mantra Spaceship?! The idea that mantras can power a spaceship is so creative and thought-provoking. The story takes you to 2047, where India is a super-tech powerhouse - but with a revolutionary twist. There is a Mantra-Powered spaceship called Anthara that doesn’t run on rocket fuel but on Vedic mantras. Imagine chanting the Gayatri Mantra, which makes the cosmos dance to its tune. The story follows a team of scientists and warriors on a mission where they discover that our ancestors might have known secrets about science and the universe that we’re only figuring out now. The story is fast-paced, packed with adventure, twists, and a race against time, which keeps you hooked until the last page. Beyond the sci-fi action, it makes you think about humanity’s future, consciousness, and forgotten knowledge. Through heart-pounding space battles and mind-melting science, the book asks: What if salvation isn't in the future we're building, but in the past we forgot? That moment when the crew must choose between using this power to dominate or to elevate humanity - that's when the story becomes truly special.
Anthara isn’t just a book, it’s an experience. Dr. Seshu Kmr blends futuristic imagination with deep-rooted Vedic concepts in a way that’s exciting, original, and deeply meaningful. If you love stories that challenge the norm and leave you thinking long after the last page, this is a must-read! After reading, you'll stare at the night sky differently, and maybe whisper a mantra just in case it helps your Wi-Fi signal!

"Time does not belong to us. We belong to time."

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬?
Having read little science fiction before, I wanted to explore the genre this year. When I discovered this book that uniquely blends science fiction with one of my favourite genres—Indian epics—I decided to give it a try.

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
The book cover is striking and thoughtfully detailed. For example, the astronaut features a sacred teeka on his forehead, symbolising the story’s central theme. The title’s design and colours evoke India, which is integral to the narrative.

𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
The narration is clear and straightforward, with a streamlined storytelling style. The pace is brisk, and the language is generally lucid and easy to follow.

𝐎𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧:

ANTHARA 2047 - I written by Dr. Seshu KMR. The cover itself is quite striking and immediately draws the eye, suggesting a compelling narrative within.

The artwork depicts an astronaut, possibly of Indian descent given the facial features and the tilak on the forehead, looking thoughtfully upwards within a space environment. Behind him, a reddish planet and a vast starry expanse hint at interstellar travel or perhaps a mission to Mars. The detail on the astronaut's suit is impressive, and the reflection in the helmet visor adds a touch of realism and depth.
The tagline, "TIME DOES NOT BELONG TO US. WE BELONG TO TIME," is profound and thought-provoking, setting a philosophical tone for what promises to be a thrilling journey.

The inclusion of the Indian flag patch on the astronaut's arm firmly roots the story in an Indian context, which is exciting given the growing interest in India's space program.

As a "space thriller saga," one can expect a blend of scientific accuracy, suspense, and potentially high-stakes drama. The "2047" in the title suggests a futuristic setting, perhaps aligning with significant dates or milestones for India, which could add another layer of intrigue. Dr. Seshu KMR's name as the author lends an air of credibility, possibly indicating a background that could inform the scientific or technical aspects of the story.

Overall, the cover successfully creates anticipation for a gripping and culturally relevant science fiction tale.

This is a dystopian sci-fi story written in India of 2047.

At this time , India is leading the world by its innovation. Using the rich cultural heritage , a group of scientists take a mission to space. This mission is not only one of technological advancement but also using ancient wisdom with modern science.

Through the story , the author has tried to converge the knowledge of Vedas with the modern fields like quantum mechanics , space-time relations etc. The ancient chants and knowledge transfuse with the new age technology and the limits of time and space start to blur.

The story has several impressive characters. From scientists to engineers to experts in Vedic sciences , the crew of the mission is one of geniuses. However, what happens once they embark on this one of a kind mission leaves everyone bewildered.

The story has a beautiful theme where the knowledge of generations merge together. The story also explores several issues faced by the crew in a philosophical manner. The journey of the characters not only takes them to unknown realms of space but also tests their mental limits. The story is simple and easy to read. However , some aspects of the scientific angle could have been explored a bit more.

The use of chants and slokas add depth to the story. It is a quick read for those interested in sci-fi and space stories.

Just finished Anthara-1, and wow this was such a different reading experience for me. It’s not every day you come across a book that blends hardcore science fiction with ancient Indian spirituality and does it so smoothly. I honestly picked it up because the idea of a spaceship running on Vedic mantras sounded wild and it totally hooked me.

The story is set in 2047 India and follows a secret space mission powered by Vedic chants instead of traditional fuel. That alone felt bold and new. As someone who’s always been fascinated by both space and ancient wisdom this book really brought those two worlds together in a way that made me think deeper about where science ends and something more cosmic begins.

One scene that really stayed with me was when the crew starts experiencing time loops and they each have to relive moments of fear, doubt and death. That part was intense. What I liked most is that even though the book is short it never felt rushed. The pace is tight, but the ideas are rich. If you’re into stories that stretch your imagination and make you pause to reflect, give Anthara-1 a try.

Anthara-1 by Dr. Seshu Kumar is a masterstroke of speculative fiction that marries the precision of quantum science with the soul of ancient Vedic wisdom. Set in a vividly imagined India of 2047—a century after independence—this gripping space thriller explores the unfathomable dance between time and destiny. With a mission that transcends mere exploration, Anthara-1 becomes a vessel of both cosmic ambition and spiritual awakening.

Characters like Dr. Vedanth Sharma, Dr. Anika Reddy, and Lt. Dhruv Kapoor breathe life into a world where AI and zero-point energy hum in harmony with haunting mantras. The narrative is laced with eerie tension and psychological depth, where time itself slips through the fingers like stardust. Each chapter crackles with intellectual intrigue and emotional weight, blurring the lines between reality and cosmic illusion.

Kumar’s vision is a bold leap into a future where India leads not just with technology, but with timeless insight. Anthara-1 is not just a mission—it’s a metaphysical odyssey that challenges everything we know about existence, progress, and the true cost of awakening.

Anthara-1 by Dr. Seshu KMR is a genre-defying sci-fi novella that boldly merges futuristic technology with ancient Vedic wisdom. Set in 2047, the story introduces a groundbreaking concept: a spaceship powered not by fuel, but by the cosmic vibrations of Sanskrit mantras. In just under 90 pages, the narrative unfolds with gripping intensity, exploring time, consciousness, and forgotten ancestral knowledge. What truly sets this book apart is its imaginative core—where quantum science meets spiritual transcendence. The fusion of Sanskrit shlokas with high-tech space missions creates a compelling experience that’s both intellectually and emotionally stimulating. Despite its brevity, the book delivers a powerful message about humanity’s dual path: domination or elevation. With heart-racing space adventures and philosophical depth, Anthara-1 is not just a read, but a reflection on the future we chase and the past we ignore. A must-read for those seeking thought-provoking, unconventional science fiction. I’d rate it a strong 4 out of 5.

Review :
Anthara-1 is a novella of 74 pages. The story beautifully blends science fiction elements with ancient Vedic conceptions, rituals, Sanskrit shlokas, and Sanatana beliefs.

The story is set in the year 2047, where a group of Indian scientists comes together to unlock new energy resources and to put India at the forefront of worldwide technical leadership and starts a mission called Anthara-1. With the help of Shunya Drive, a powerful innovation that has a combination of ancient Vedic teachings and modern superior technology. And with this, they start a mysterious space journey. And with them, we go on this quest of finding ultimate power.

The book is very short, very fast-paced, and super engaging. I love the way the author uses Sanskrit shlokas and some mythological elements in this science fiction book. Which never feels uncomfortable or bad in reading. This is actually very interesting and intriguing. And the ending teaches us that for great success, you have to have that many greater sacrifices.

I love reading the story, and I would happily recommend it.

"Anthara _2047_1" by Dr. Seshu KMR is a suspense book not just about exploring space but it is also about a new era of technical and spiritual synthesis with a goal to redefine physics and release cosmic power but what happens when things don't go as planned?

An operational test, a top secret project, will it be a success?

Recently Sunita Williams went to space and was stuck there for approximately 9 months due to a technical error, if that happens to any of us do you think we could survive?

A Commander, some Doctors, a Lieutenant and some more crew members went ahead for the operational test of Anthara, but what kept them in a constant loop of time? Was it all a part of the cosmic power or perhaps something we do not know?

How scary would it be to see your death and relieve that death on a loop over and over again?

The entire book makes you claustrophobic no doubt, but it is every bit worth the read.

Possibly the shortest yet one of the most thought-provoking reads I've come across! Anthara-1 is a unique space odyssey where man’s hunger to unravel the unknown begins to challenge the very laws of existence.

Set in 2047, about 100 years post-India’s independence, the nation is now a global leader in innovation. With a revival of Vedic wisdom fused with modern science, humanity is reaching new heights.

The ISRC, under Dr. Vedant’s leadership, launches a groundbreaking space mission led by Lt. Aaryan—one that dares to confront the very fabric of civilization: Time. But this quest soon takes a terrifying turn…

Told in a fast-paced, futuristic format blending space thriller with Sanskrit shlokas and deep philosophical reflections, Anthara-1 will leave you reeling. While parts felt a bit repetitive, the engaging narrative more than makes up for it.

Rating: 4/5
Highly recommended if you love Sci-Fi with a philosophical twist!

Anthara-1 is a compact, intense read that integrates contemporary science and ancient Vedic wisdom. In 2047 India, the narrative tells the tale of a group of committed scientists who embark on a quest to seek cosmic forces through the teachings of the Vedas. Along the way, they experience obstacles, doubt their faith, and learn how profoundly time and Vedic teachings are intertwined with human existence—even in the future.

Being a space buff, science fiction enthusiast, and also an astronomy enthusiast, this book was ideal for me to read. It's a fast read but is full of meaning. Mixing science fiction with spiritual origins kept me continuously surprised. The one thing I had hoped for was a little more character building—it would have enriched the story further.

If you're interested in the cosmos or Vedic science and need a light weekend read, Anthara-1 is a good choice.

Amazing!
Anthara-1 by Dr. Seshu KMR is a short science fiction story set in the future, around the year 2047, where India has become a global leader in technology. The story stands out because it introduces a creative idea—a spaceship that runs not on fuel, but on ancient Sanskrit mantras.

This mix of science and spirituality makes the book unique and interesting. The story is fast-paced and filled with deep ideas about time, human awareness, and the search for knowledge. At just under 90 pages, it’s a quick read, but one that leaves you thinking.

Some readers might wish for more detail about the characters, but the fresh concept and the way it connects traditional wisdom with futuristic science make it a memorable book. It’s a great choice for readers who enjoy science fiction with a twist of philosophy.

“Anthara - 1” by Dr. Seshu KMR is a futuristic scientific thriller with a fusion of Vedic concepts, Mantras, Philosophy and an Unknown Spiritual Power.

The story line dates further to 2047 wherein a top secret mission of flying to space is planned by India combining the powers of Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Physics and the age old concept of Vedas and Vedic Mantras.

The best part of the book is the concept of Spaceships being fuelled by Mantras rather than fuels. The mention of various mantras along with their English translation is to read out for.

The storyline is very intriguing and the futuristic concept of flying a spaceship is to watch out for. The book is a short read mainly focusing on what happens when Science meets spirituality. If you do love sci fi fiction with a blend of Indian spirituality and the cosmic power surely grab your copies at the earliest.

“Time doesn’t belong to us; we belong to time.”
That one line hooked me—and Anthara - I delivered that in a way that felt both wildly imaginative and emotionally grounded.

Set in 2047, a symbolic centennial year for India, the story by Indian Space Reasearch Command (ISRC). The plot weaves an ambitious, high-stakes secret space mission with ancient Vedic wisdom, quantum science, and the mysteries of time (not just as science sees it, but also how ancient thinkers viewed it)

The prose leans philosophical at times but stays grounded with enough suspense, action, and emotional pull to keep you turning the pages.

If you enjoy books that don’t just entertain but also make you think, this one’s worth picking up.

Anthara-1,a futuristic horror thriller novella is based on the year 2047. It's a fictional story about a secret mission known as Anthara-1 in which the upcoming modern technology is combined with the age old vedic wisdom. The plot of this story stands on a never known mystical question: Does our fate lies on our Hands or we're just a character of this cosmic's play?.

This was my first Indian Sci-fi read. The writing style was smooth and engaging. The use of old Vedic slogans were used perfectly. Unifying elements of space(Cosmos) fear and alluding Hindu Scriptures was nicely done. But one thing that really question me regularly was why there was so much use of phrases like strong supporter or devotee of sanatana Dharma for PM of 2047? This excessive praise raised a lot of doubts for me about the author.Overall, a good read.
