Frommer's Seattle 2008 was our guidebook for our 10-day trip to Seattle (June 20-30), and it was a fantastic choice. What it lacks in photographs and illustrations it more than makes up in valuable information on locations around the city and the greater Seattle area (including the Olympic Peninsula), recommedations and self-guided tours. The edition we used came with a free map of Downtown Seattle that was easy to use and perfect for the traveler, made of thick, laminated paper that stood up to continual folding/unfolding without any tears. I greatly recommend this guidebook for any visitor to Seattle.

One of my co-workers brought in his Seattle guide for me to read, in preparation for this weekend's trip to Emerald City Comic-Con. What can I say, it's a travel guide? I'm trying to figure out which streets are one-way . . .

Better than Fodor's Seattle, IMHO. Many more photos, and a handy take-out detailed map of the city. After several trips to Seattle during each of the last 3 summers, I think Frommer's is the best guide to Seattle I have seen.

A must have travel book for the city of Seattle! I would highly recommend picking up the appropriate Frommer's handbook before setting out to explore a new city!

The is a great book for anyone travelling to Seattle that wants to know what is worth seeing and experiencing. The book is organized into chapters based on interest: The Best of Seattle, Seattle in Depth, Where to Stay, Where to Eat, etc. The information is very useful and practical. For instance, in The Best of Seattle chapter, you can find these sections: Best Things do to for Free, Best Outdoor Activities, Best Offbeat Experiences, Best Things to do on a Rainy Day (Seattle is famous for its rain), and Best Activities for Families.

There is a map attached to the inside of the back cover that you can remove and unfold.

Not to be overlooked: this edition of Frommer's Seattle includes 73 photos taken by yours truly. You can see many of the photos that I submitted to Frommer's that were not included in the book on my website: www.seattlephotographs.com
