As Aurelia’s memories are unraveled, so is the vengeance of a scorned witch.
After discovering the truth of her past, Princess Aurelia returns home to Rimor to confront her father and warn him of a new enemy at hand—a vengeful witch determined to make Aurelia suffer at any cost. But when dozens of Rimorian soldiers turn up dead, Aurelia and Elias know they have to find a way to stop Sarai before more innocent lives are taken.
With the threat of anyone she loves being caught in the crossfire of Sarai’s wrath, Aurelia and Elias seek help from friends, old and new, to build a defense against the powerful witch, all while Aurelia is struggling to relearn her own power.
While fighting for her life and the lives of those she loves, she discovers even more about her past, including the person responsible for her mother’s murder. Aurelia soon finds herself seeking her own vengeance while struggling to evade the wrath of Sarai.
To protect herself and her loved ones, and find the justice she so desperately seeks, Aurelia and Elias must put their trust in others. But can they trust the right people?
i recieved Twisted Trust as an arc. It was so fun to read. great spice and banter. action and love. This story is unfolding beautifully. I will be impatiently waiting to see what happens next. I very much enjoyed the addition of fletcher. I'm very curious what he will be getting into in the next book. hmmm rose maybe??
•Fantasy Romance •Fated Mates •Witches, Mythic, Lycan •Touch her and ☠️ Vibes •Prophecy •🌶🌶.75
♡ARC Review♡ Twisted Trust is book 2 in the Forgotten Fate Trilogy. It picked up right where Forgotten Fate left off. I went through every single freaking emotion I could possibly have! I tossed my Kindle, and I constantly yelled, "NO NO NO NO NO! and I CAN'T FINISH THIS! MY ANXIETY CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!" But I finished it... and man, was it worth it!! Aura fighting with her father to not become a prisoner again in her own home and letting her do this mission means so much to Aura. She has her mate, Elias, constantly supporting her and also helping her with her returning power. I absolutely LOVE them. I love how he would burn the world for her! The ending was brutual, GIRL.. how could you?! I have a new person I like, and I'm struggling to want to hang on to him cause I don't know if he'll live! 😭😅 I seriously can't wait for book 3! I love this series, so freaking much!! I can't wait for June 13th so everyone can enjoy this book like I did!!
Twisted Trust is book 2 in the Forgotten Fate Trilogy! This picks up right where we left off in book 1! Aura is back again struggling with her overprotective father! The relationship between her and Elias is EVERYTHINGGG!!! I am so so obsessed and love every bit of it! I loved learning more about this world, Aurelia, the prophecy and just magic in general! We got some new characters in this book some of which I just loveeee and I’m so nervous lol!!! She leaves us on a cliffhanger yet again… so I’m gonna need book 3!!!
Another installment of your favorite shifter and mythic duo! The new MMC that was introduced is a fantastic addition and I am so here for more of him! Twists and turns to keep the story moving forward. More pieces of the puzzle snapping into place. And yet we cliff hang for what is in store to come! Can’t wait for book 3!
Was lucky enough to get this as an ARC and it was just as good as the first book! I enjoyed the main and side characters, especially a new friend they found along the way. I was invested the entire story and can’t wait to see what happens next! Would like book 3 now!
This is another grand slam for Jaime! She has become one of my absolute favorite Authors! I received this as an ARC read, and I was a part of Forgotten Fate's ARC team as well! I am so thrilled she's chosen me both times, because my the end of each book I've been hungry for the next! It is bitter sweet for me knowing only one more is planned after this one! I am hoping we can sway her, but even if this series is a 3 book series - It has been awesome to be a part of the read team. The story has all the best tropes, Fantasy Romance, Fated Mates, it's giving touch her and XXX, Prophecy and a pleasant touch of spice, not so much that the plot and story suffers, it does not take away from the amazing story telling ability she has. Twisted Trust picks up immediately after Forgotten Fate and it did not disappoint one bit! My emotions were all over the place! When an Author can invoke a truly emotional response out of a reader, that tells you they nailed it! I did not expect different from Jaime, I can't wait for June 13th, so I can order my shelf trophy! This is a Trilogy that I will RUSH to purchase, despite havng an ARC copy! I can't wait for book 3! I don't want to give spoilers, so I won't dive into the specifics of it just yet, but I can't wat for other people to have a chance to read this book! It is yet another one that I heavily recommend to friends, family, really anyone that I know reads! I can say, there is a new character addition to this book, and I love him! But, I am kicking myself for getting attached because his fate is not promised! I have ridden for Jaime from day 1, and I am telling you all, I have said it since Forgotten Fate, she is going to be one of those great - well known, very loved authors! Jump on this Trilogy, you will be happy you read it!
I purchased the first book on my own and fell in love with it… and when I was asked to read the ARC I was so surprised and excited
Book 2 continues on from where book 1 finished
Yes book 2 ends on a cliffhanger so we have to wait for book 3… which I will go out of my mind waiting for
Book 1 (Forgotten Fate) introduced us to the 4 kingdoms ( Rimor, Chatus, Monuvia and Sprath)
We meet Aura and her journey being a princess living with an overprotective dad…
Aura goes on a journey and meets Elias who goes with her on the journey… through out this path we learn there is a 5th kingdom Zolmara and about the magic system of Lycans, witches and mythic.
Aura faces many challenges and discovers… Twisted trust picks up right where forgotten fate end.
Book 2 dives deeper into the magic system and we meet new characters (Fletcher who is annoying and funny at the same time I love his character so much) along with new characters some of the old side characters come back and play important roles into the plot of the story… emotion level… i laughed at time (mostly with (Fletcher)… cried (yes Jamie made me cry)… story has some tense moments where I thought the story was going one way but went another… and romance and spicy was just enough and not over powering the plot of the book. I also liked how the world building wasn’t hard to understand and made it an easy read
Thanks Jamie for this amazing story and I cannot wait to see how it end…
Holy shit. What a journey and emotional rollercoaster this was.
Aura experiences so much throughout this book, even more than she did in Forgotten Fate. It's strange how much of myself I can see in Aura, especially when it comes to her stubbornness and her immense care for others. In this book she spends a lot of time struggling with how to get control of the powers she just recently discovered that she has. She also ends up on yet another journey that doesn't exactly go according to plan, but we learn that all the detours are just part of her fate (not directly told this but we can make assumptions based on certain interactions). One her journey she does happen to make a new friend, Fletcher and he is able to help her find the bandit Markus.
There are things about Aura's past we discover in this book, which I love that we are constantly learning more. I enjoy that we didn't get all the information at once, it feels like we are learning the information along with Aura and Elias which is fun.
Sarai deserved to suffer a lot more than she did in this book, especially after what she did to Horus.
This book had me nearly crying with fear on more than one occasion. I've never had a book put me through an emotional rollercoaster like this one, but I loved it all the same.
I can't wait to see what comes next for Aura and Elias.
Okay okay okay. I thought Forgotten Fate was amazing. But THIS??? Holy moly. You can tell the author really got more confident in her writing. And the story? Chef's freaking kiss. This is page turner after page turner. I don't think I have ever read a book so fast. And honestly, I'm devastated that it's over. I think I'll reread it because I don't want it to end. With Elias and Aura getting together in Book 1, I was wondering if/how their romance would develop. But boy did it. I love them SO much. Top 3 favorite book couples for sure. I love how old characters were visited while new ones were added without getting jumbled together/too confusing. I loved getting a deeper dive into the magic system, especially the witches. Their magic was explained well without being overly complicated. The action in this book had me on my toes. The final battle had my heart beating so fast, my apple-watch literally asked me if I was okay. I will be impatiently waiting for Book 3 because....wow. Incredible.
Wow! I was utterly captivated by this book – it really took me on an emotional rollercoaster! I was cheering for Aura as she stood her ground against her father, and I adored how Elias consistently had her back. Their journey, alongside Horus, is nothing short of thrilling, and I loved witnessing the evolution of Aura and Horus's relationship.
Adding a fresh twist to the adventure is Fletcher, a new character who joins the crew to help track down the notorious bandit Marcus, responsible for the kidnappings plaguing the kingdom. The story had me hanging on every word, and just when I thought I could anticipate what would happen next, the ending completely blew me away!
I’m left buzzing with excitement and questions that linger after that jaw-dropping finale. I can hardly wait for the next installment! If you were a fan of the first book, trust me, you’re going to absolutely adore this one too! I want to share so much more, but I won’t spoil it for anyone. Dive in and get ready for a wild ride!
Aurelia finally learns the truth about her past and heads back to Rimor ready to face her father and warn him about Sarai — a witch who is very much not playing around. But before they can even fully prepare, soldiers start turning up dead. So yeah… things escalate quickly.
Aurelia and Elias basically go into crisis mode, trying to gather allies and figure out how to stop Sarai before more people get hurt. At the same time, Aurelia is relearning her powers, which makes everything feel even more intense because she’s not fully confident in herself yet.
There’s also a strong revenge thread running through this story. Aurelia uncovers more about her mother’s murder, and you can feel her wrestling with justice vs. vengeance. That emotional tension adds a lot to the stakes.
Overall, it’s a dramatic fantasy romance with royal politics, a powerful witch villain, loyal friends, and the constant question of who can actually be trusted. If you like princesses who aren’t afraid to fight back and stories where the danger hits close to home, this one delivers.
Okay WOW! I absolutely loved Forgotten Fate but Twisted Trust definitely topped it. When I was reading I didn’t want to put it down. Jaime really outdid herself with this one. I’m pretty sure I felt every emotion possible while reading this. I really liked how Aura became more confident in this one and stood her ground against her father. I also really enjoyed the role Horus played in book two. And Elias? 😍 “Every scar…every moment of torture…was worth it. Because it led me to you.” SWOON. My favorite thing about Elias is how protective he is of Aura but still always gives her a choice. I cannot recommend this book enough. Now I need book 3 like right now. 😂 thanks Jaime for choosing me to be an ARC reader. I thoroughly enjoyed Twisted Trust and can’t wait to see what the next book brings!
Twisted Trust is the perfect continuation in the Forgotten Fate Trilogy. Typically, I am hesitant to read the second book in a series because I want it to be equally as good as the first. Let me tell you, this book did not disappoint. I loved how it looped back around and included the stories of the side characters as well. It perfectly answered the questions I had after reading Forgotten Fate.
In this book, it continues to follow Aurelia and Elias as they return home to Rimor; however, like the first book their travels never go according to plan. As you go along with the characters through their journey, it is hard to not become attached. You can't help but feel all of their emotions with them.
Highly recommend this trilogy for all types of fantasy lovers.
🗡️Fantasy 🗡️Fated mates 🗡️Found family 🗡️spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🗡️Touch her and die
I honestly tried to make predictions at every turn of this book but imagine my surprise when I was wrong every single time 😂
I loved that this book made sure to go back and touch on unresolved issues from the Forgotten Fate. I love that I felt the characters had actually formed an in-depth connection and understanding of each other.
The love in this book is so tender and kind yet so brutal and devastating. So nurturing yet so independent.( if that makes since )
Yes it ends on a cliff hanger but not one that makes you want to put your head through a wall 😂
I received this book as an ARC. After being an ARC reader for book 1 I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to ARC reader for this one. I loved book one but this book stepped it up even more. I enjoyed Aura’s growth and getting to see her stand up for herself against her father. We all love a MMC who supports his woman and knows she’s a BA all on her own. Elias fits that to a T. I was so excited going into this book to read more about their relationship now that it’s official and I loved every second of it. I also loved the addition of new characters and getting to see more of old characters.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. And honestly there’s only one word to sum it up…
WOW. I loved book one. But this book comes in swinging from page one on the action! I stayed up past my bedtime TWO NIGHTS because I was absolutely captivated! Twist and turns galore! Angst, heartbreak, and happy moments all combined in such a well written book!
Now the worst part? This isn’t even out yet, and I am anxiously awaiting book 3 to see where Aura takes us!
I received this as an ARC. HOLY MOLY!!!!! I thought I loved the first book. This was book was even better. You can see the growth and confidence in the author in this book. This book has fated mates, witches, romance, mystic, and a wolf shifter. Just when you think the characters were going to get to rest and take a break and regroup more tragedy strikes. And the ending!!! I need book three NOW!!!!
Wow. I have been waiting for book 2!! I loved getting more from Aura & Elias. You got a lot of information in book 2. Learned many important details. I was on the edge of my seat, oo, ah, gasp, for most of this book !! I absolutely love Nadia and now Fletcher !! He is an interesting addition and I’m so excited to see what happens with him & his revenge. I hope he does get it. Very nervous about the next book and if “he” is coming back and what that’ll mean ! I absolutely loved it !!
Jaime is a new auto buy author for me. she has such a way of writing that she sucks you into the book from page one. During the book she will have you entranced and falling in love with all of her characters. Her stories will have you turning the pages so fast time will slip away from you. Swooning, gasping, shrieking and maybe even some screams and tears will be had during the ride she is taking us on in this book. This book has the trifecta; romance, spice and plot. sooooo goooooood
FMC mother was a powerful witch and she was killed when she was young. Her mother put a shield up to protect her because she knew if people found her she would be in danger. FMC wants to be free and live. Her father wants to lock her up to keep her safe from the world. Her mate knows better, she will do whatever she wants, when she wants and no one can stop her. Someone is coming.
4.25⭐️ Aura and Elias journey is filled with danger and cross new characters, friends and Foe. Fletcher is a great new character that quickly became a favorite for me. I Love how Aura & Elias, completely trust each other and are not only fated mates but true partners that respect and value each other's opinions. It's very refreshing. Overall loved the story and can't wait for the next book to see how the story ends.
This was such a great progression in the series! I loved seeing Aura grow and come into her powers. Seeing her stand up for herself and others is my favorite of her character traits. So much happened in this book it almost could have been two! But that ending… chefs kiss. Leaving me satisfied but still wanting more. I can’t wait to read the series finale.
I received this book as an ARC and oh my goodness I absolutely loved it!! There was spice and banter and so much happening it kept me engaged the whole time. I loved that there were some new characters introduced in this book like Fletcher he was funny, witty and a bit sketchy at times but I loved him!! Can’t wait to see where Elias and Aura’s journey takes them in the next book!!!
I picked up this series on a whim and man I really love it. I think a lot of romantasy is really similar and this is no different, but it’s still so enjoyable. Fated mates, magic, betrayal. Always a recipe for a good time in my book.
I’m really looking forward to the next installment, whenever that comes.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. You absolutely will not be disappointed. The connections the characters make with each other had me sobbing. Great story development in book 1 and the way it unfolds in book 2 was amazing.
Received this as an ARC and enjoyed every second of it. There were so many twists that kept me engaged from the beginning. I truly enjoyed the addition of Fletcher, as he had me cracking up the entire time. This has been a great series so far and I can't wait to see what happens next!
Such a great read. I enjoyed this one even more than the first. Lycans, witches, wolves, a mythic. Slam dunk on this one Jamie! Excited to see what adventures await Aura & Elias in the 3rd book in the series.
This book was fantastic. I received it as an arc and was so excited after reading the first one. You can tell between this one and the last one the writing has improved so much. I am a bit of a mood reader however, I just couldn't put this down. The spice was impeccable. Just the right amount.
All I can honestly do right now is just scream and wait for book three. What a great story. What a great author.
I want to say it kept me on my toes. It had me absolutely stressing out like crazy. It had me angry. It had me in aws. This book series is absolutely amazing.
