The chaotic crew of the Silverfish is accustomed to the absurdity of their job: delivering mail through hostile space, dodging literal laser fire, and demanding a signature for every package. But when they discover their newest cargo is critical to the war itself and it’s postage wildly underpaid, this found-family crew must risk everything to ensure this delivery makes it to its final destination.

Emily Fisher’s writing is an absolute joy. She possesses a wonderful skill for weaving this fun, fast-paced tale, bringing a genuine sense of warmth and sense of humor to the often-overlooked corners of space travel novels. It's the perfect blend of laughs and adventure, think Brooklyn Nine-Nine meets Firefly! Seriously, stop what you are doing and pick up The Silverfish: A Story of the United Star System Postal Service now.

In her debut novel, Emily Fisher captures the balance between descriptive scenery, rich story-telling, and witty prose. A story about teamwork and friendship, The Silverfish is a tale that will teach you a thing or two about postal workers in outerspace, and more importantly, the lesson of sacrifice for a greater good.

This was written by my very good friend, so I may be biased, but this book was great fun. All the characters are incredibly charming and Emily is great at writing intense moments that leave me also sighing in relief with the characters.

Very clever idea, fun concept, and great brain popcorn. Centering a story about interplanetary conflict on a team of postal workers navigating war fronts is pretty much genius. Deeply enjoyable.
