Designation Series #3

Designation: Prey

Rate this book
Daniel Burrows is a submissive. When he’d signed up for the military’s Designation program that would turn him into a soldier with enhanced abilities, he’d been reassured the odds were good that he’d come out a Dominant. In fact, his odds of becoming a Dominant were 10 to 1.

Much to Daniel and his father’s dismay, that isn’t what happened.

And he isn’t just submissive— his designation is Prey.

Daniel has no idea what that will mean when it comes to finally being with a Dominant.

He’s about to find out.

This is a 54,000 word story with a guaranteed HEA, featuring two super strong, hot men and lots of biologically kinky hanky-panky. Incinerate at your own risk….

5 stars. My emotions! Hands down my favorite book in this series and I already want to read it again. Liam and Daniel were so perfect for each other and omg was their HEA emotional and hard earned. This was so fucking good and the spice was fantastic which I’ve come to expect from Kassel. I teared up quite a bit while reading this even though I knew where things were heading due to the previous book but still OUCH! Holy hell! So good. Love these characters so much and I thought this was a wonderful read. I really hope that there will be more books in this series.

Another hot book in the series

I love all of Jamie Kassel's books. This series is set in a world where men are medically enhanced through DNA manipulation. Some are dominant and some are submissive. With varying degrees within each type. Each book we meet a different couple and watch their struggle to survive and all the hot M/M s*x that come with it. All of Jamie Kassel's books are hot 🔥. This one centers around Liam and Daniel. The traumatic treatment of Daniel by his Father and Liam's efforts to heal him and keep him. I highly recommend this book. Enjoy!

I had been looking forward to this one, because the kink sounded fun and kind of out there. Unfortunately it never came together for me and neither the Dom nor the Sub were really interesting to me.

The fanfic to profic transition keeps getting worse and the more 'worldbuilding' the author adds to connect the different fics and make them a series kind of makes it worse. The characters have to spend A LOT of time talking about things they should know just to clue the reader in.

I love this series. While I read MM almost exclusively, this sort of "omegaverse" type of work isn't what I typically go for because I had read a couple from that theme in the past that just didn't work for me. My only wish for these books would be that they were longer so that we get more time with the couples.

I like these books but honestly... they all fall a bit short.

Spoilers ahead.

Bruh. Why do all of the dominant men refer to their submissives with the same 3 words? Like... is there no variety? Do they all have to be a sweetheart, honey or boy? Do y'all not have other words? It honestly all feels like the same couple just in a slightly altered story.

I've read all the other books in the series and I love them , this one was high emotions and while that was good some parts where not my favorite.
I would give the spice a 2 out of 5 for me personally

Fourth book by this author and even though the relationship in this one is a bit more different than the first and second of the series they still use the exact same pet name and the feel of the dynamic is still quite similar.

This book was everything I wanted; off the charts chemistry, a little bit of angst but quickly resolved, emotional and brilliant characters who were perfect together. This is such a unique world and I was left wanting to know so much more about Liam and Daniel - I hope there's more in this world and we get glimpses of these two again! This book is the best yet!
