Voluptuous Mates-Book 1--This is paranormal romance erotica!
My cock stays hard and ready to make love majority of the time.
However, ever since my mate had died, I hadn’t been able to find that one woman I wanted to settle down with. The one woman I wanted to make a part of my triad. Not until I met her. Beautiful. Voluptuous. Giselle.
When I first laid eyes on Giselle, the curvy funny woman, she’d beckoned me to her like a strong magnet. Right away I knew she’d be perfect for my pack. Before I knew it, she had me doing something I swore I’d never do. I made her the offer of a lifetime. The $500,000 payout may seem like a lot to some. But considering Giselle had to submit to my every demand, my every need, and my adversary wanted her dead--the money was quite a small token for me to pay.
WARNING: This paranormal erotica romance is loaded with lots of scorching sex, and you may need a cold shower while reading it. Frank adult language, dirty sex, danger, and violence is written within this book—FIRST BITE.

This was just terribly written. I don't know what else to say. Coming form someone who loves shifter books and I don't wish to be mean, so I will just say, I wouldn't recommend it.

This book is the first part in a trilogy about an exotic dancer named Giselle and a wolf shifter named Slayton who sees her performing at a bachelor part. The plot and the cover of the story both looked really good, so i decided to try it. However, I had problems with it from the beginning. There were some grammatical errors and wordage that really just didn't work for me in an erotic story, seeming rather juvenile. The female main character's inner monologue from the the beginning was a little contradictory and borderline annoying. The male main character was a little better. The cover of the book does not capture the characters at all.
There is no character development the plot is ridiculous and stupid and their various motivations make no sense he’s an alpha but getting his butt kicked by a weak human .. she is a stripper but getting in cars with strangers, she the best of the best but living in a hovel. Just nothing makes sense feels like the author just snatched paragraphs from good stories and cut and paste them together
Giselle is a beautiful, curvy woman who is alone in the world with the exception of a younger brother. After the death of their parents she and her brother were placed in foster care and an orphanage. Giselle has aged out of the system but is determined to get her brother away from the orphanage and with her in a real home as quickly as possible. With limited work experience she picks up the only position she feels that she is qualified for - being an exotic dancer.
Young, handsome and rich Slayton meets Giselle as she dances at his friend's bachelor party. He is so thoroughly attracted to her that he offers her $250,000 to attend a wedding with him the next day and spend the night with him. What Giselle doesn't know is that Slayton wants more than just an escort for an event and a night of sex. Confident that she's the woman for him he just has to figure out how to spring on her that he's a werewolf and that he wants her to participate in a menage relationship.
Giselle wants her brother and a family. Slayton wants the missing link to his triad relationship. Have they both found what they are looking for or is great sex the most that they will get out of their relationship?
This story is the first book in a series and it starts off with a sexy bang. There is a plot but there isn't a lot of depth to the story itself. This is more along the lines of erotica than a deep story.
I didn't find myself connecting too deeply with the characters. That may have been because of the short length of the story and the effort to lay the groundwork in such a small amount of time/words. I was vested enough in the story itself to be curious as to what is going to happen but no so concerned or connected to the characters that I rooted for them either to be together or apart. The clues that are discreetly dropped within the story lead me to believe that the next installments will involve some suspense, mystery and action. I think it may pick up considerably after this one.
One distraction for me was the author's tendency to bounce around in tense. The story is told from chapter to chapter in first person tense by both the main characters. What happened from time to time was the movement out of first person and into another tense (i.e. past tense)which for me was distracting. Nothing that stopped me from overall understanding what happened or was being said but it still disrupted the flow for me.
This one ends in a cliff hanger so if you don't like them you'll want to keep that in mind.
Overall I liked the story. I'm most curious to see what happens next than anything else so I guess that the story did what it was supposed to do. Interest me enough to keep reading.
I really liked this book. It was a new age pretty woman meets indecent preposal. The heat between Slayton and Giselle was enough to set their sheets on fire.
Giselle was volumputios, beautiful and her confidence knew no bounds when it came to making her money. So when Slayton offers her 500,000 dollars to come home with him she knows thats an offers her can not refuse.
Slayton is a sexy and very rich playboy who usually wants to have a good time and move along. But when he sees Giselle he knows she has to be his no matter what it will cost him.
Giselle and Slayton are perfect together because she needs a strong man that accepts not only her choice of employemnt but can handel all the curves she is packing under all of her sexy outfits. What better man to choose than a wolf shifter? Yeah I cant think of anyone else either...
This book is definetly not for the faint of heart take the discription very serious. Because unless you need to be able to handel a man thats packing ,I dont mean gun, and a woman who starts off dropping it like it is hot for a dollar bill, then gets dumpped by her boyfirend, wchich then leads her to decide to rebound with the sexiest man alive for 500,000 dollars! Im just saying buckle up! This book is short sexy and worth every penny. Cant wait for the next book!
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in place of an honest review.
Yes this book had several grammar issues that needed to be corrected. I don't take off for grammar issues. I could see what the author was trying to show me. Yes this is the first book out of three. I didn't know that when I started reading it. So when I reached the end and found a cliffhanger, I wasn't very happy about that.
Giselle is a exotic dancer and she is trying to save up enough money to adopt her brother. When she gets to a bachelor party she finds something more than she thought she would. Her boyfriend broke up with her before she started her act. She also ran into a man that she felt a connection with she knew that she would give into it. The money was an added bonus.
Slayton is a wolf shifter and when he sees Giselle for the first time he can tell by her scent that she is the woman that he has been looking for. He pays her for one night but talks her into coming home to his pack with him. He offers her $500,000 to come with him.
It seems that these two are keeping secrets about themselves. I don't know how it's going to work when they are both revealed. I will have to go and get the next book so that I can find out what is in store for these two. I will tell you that this has lots of hot sex in it.
This novella was very poorly written. It had a host of editing errors. The storyline was somewhat promising. An alpha for a wolf pack looks for his mate to complete his alpha triad. This was the first “book” in a three part series. Giselle aka Desire is an erotic dancer working hard so that she can get her “baby brother Deangelo” out of the foster care system. Within 3 three pages, she has repeated this over and over as a mantra to give justification for her stripping and I guess to elicit some sort of sympathy from the reader. Physically, I know she is curvy and African-American. That’s it. The author dives straight into a strip scene and then a bedroom scene between Desire and Slayton (the alpha) before really giving the reader any sort of character detail. The book gets worse from there. Some people believe that to write Erotica all you need is a lot of sex. This is far from the truth. The best writers in this genre still write good stories. They don’t use stereotypical dialects of black women to prove that a character is black. They take time to set up the plot and the story line so that in between steamy sex scenes we can still be reminded that we are reading a story. This author fails on many levels to do that.
Now there were so many grammar errors throughout this book that it made difficult to read. Things just didn’t gel properly from page to page, much less in the same paragraph. I will give the author some credit in making is main female character’s image more realistic in her build instead of going to what I call the a cookie cutter model that most writers will have their heroines in. And I will give credit for the gist of the storyline. But I wish London hadn’t tried to be like so many others authors out right now; by turning into a multi-book scenario. It just didn’t work for me. It was like watching a movie for 15 minutes and then management decides to pull the plug so they could make more money by forcing you to come back every couple of weeks. I truly hope that things are smoothed out by the time the second book heads to the prints. And with that I am working very hard to give this book 2 out of 5 stars. Yes I received this ARC from Net Gallery in exchange of my honest opinion. Even when it is this difficult to blunder through it. Please take my words with a grain of salt. You might decide that you liked the book if you read it.
Hmm where to start? I love shifter stories and the opportunity to read books by authors that are new to me. This book covered both of those.
It's a short story (81 pages) and is currently available free on Amazon. Centred around Giselle (or stagename Desiree) an "exotic dancer" doing her best to earn enough money to apply to the courts for guardianship of her younger brother who is currently in a childrens home. She's a fun, sexy and feisty girl who is working the curves nature gave her.
Working a bachelor party with 2 friends, she meets Slayton who offers her an extremely large amount of money to spend a night with him.
The book is full of hot, raunchy sex and the chemistry between the 2 characters is red hot.
It is the first book in the series and does end on a cliff-hanger.
So the things I didn't like - the grammar and editing needs fixing, the cover picture really doesn't portray Giselle in the same way she is described in the book and, oh yeah I don't like cliffhangers.
A stripper in the South trying to win custody of her little brother gets dumped over the phone by her high and mighty boyfriend, then promptly meets a new guy that same night after popping out of a giant cake. He’s not what he seems. This is another entry in the growing field of not-quite-human erotica, and since it’s told in alternating first person you get both their thoughts as they fall hard for each other. There’s a deliciously wicked sense of humor, especially from her; he’s frequently stuck in the usual alpha male role, but even though she’s into him instantly she retains her image and self-worth, which is unusual in these kinds of stories. As this is the first of a new series, it ends in a cliffhanger, before he can tell her his secret or she can inform him about her little brother. Half a point off for that, but overall a nice read. 3.5 pushed up to 4/5
I loved Slayton and his thoughts and his body's reactions, "straining to hold back the wolf pushing at my skin, I felt strands of wolf hair protrude from the pores around my d***, making me one hairy, aching-balled dude." He's really generous I want a man that will send me flowers, "he smiled handsomely, and my knees threatened to buckle. "Ah don't bother mentioning it. It was just a little something to show you my appreciation for your agreement to make me a happy man." You don't ever disrespect what's his he can only hold on by a thread, "so effing what? I hate when men disrespect women. My wolf temper flared. I sniffed. Malik smelled like pure s***. Like he hadn't wiped his a** in days." I really enjoyed this first installment and can't wait to see what the next one brings.
wealthy alpha wolf shifter, is everything that the beautiful Giselle could ask for in a lover, but what will she think of him as a wolf and will she accept his Omega as her lover also. This just the beginning for Giselle and you long to find out if will get the life she deserves and have her beloved brother with her. The sex is steamy and you differently want to know more of the story. I think that the writer could have told more of Slayton's story and told more about Cade but I can't wait till I read the next book
There were a lot of editing needs within the copy I received. Example: During the lap dance, she was straddling him but her breasts were running down his length.. Then later she was palming his butt, yet she was handcuffed to the bed. I caught myself numerous times having to reread, trying to figure out what was going on
I also don't understand why the cover portrays a caucasian female, but Desire is a young African female.
** I received a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **
I didn't enjoy the writing style of this novella. Some sentences weren't sexy at all for an erotica romance. I didn't connect with the characters and "Desire" wasn't really likable at least to me. I'm not really interested in the story so I won't continue this series. Also the cover doesn't really match the main characters.
**I received a digital copy through Netgalley thanks to the author and publisher.**
First London Bleau Review on All The Things Inbetween!
The first in London Bleau’s Voluptuous Mates Series, First Bite. Meet Giselle and Slayton, welcome to the very raw and sexified start of their animalistic relationship. The review of this quick read is in the link below.
I found this book to be a pretty good start of a shifter series. Storyline was entertaining and steamy hot. I felt that Slayton and Giselle had instant attraction and chemistry. Course Slayton does has a small secret he might need to reveal to her. Loved that Slayton didn't judge Giselle for what she did for a living. Definitely will read the next part. Can't wait to see what happens.
This story was just ok for me. Stripper meets rich guy who pays her to come stay with him for a weekend and that includes sex. Little does she know he's actually a werewolf. It was very Pretty Woman to me and not overly original. It's advertised as a threesome story, but the second guy isn't even in this book. I really was hoping to like this, but it fell short for me.
i am sad to say that there was nothing i enjoyed about this book. i felt the plot was sloppy and the editing even worse. i hate having to re-read something just so i can understand what is actually meant to be happening. sadly i would not recommend this book :(
I really enjoyed reading this and thoroughly recommend this book. The writing flowed, the characters were interesting. Although the story for the two main characters didn't come to a conclusion, it wasn't a cliff hanger. The story continues but I am looking forward to reading the next book.
This was sadly not what I expected and not written or paced well at all. I love my shifter books and love anything and everything romance but there was just no connection for me to either lead characters. I never like to say this but I would not recommend this title.
I can't recommend this book, it uses juvenile language and misuse of words to explain aspects of different scenes, making it very difficult to read and take the author's work seriously.
ARC provided by publisher through NetGalley for an honest review. Okay so Slayton is such an alpha. The sex was hot. I liked the story even though it was a short one.
