Confusing, enjoyed and liked

THIS REVIEW IS BASED UPON THE ENTIRE SERIES.
WOWZA! THIS WAS SHORT BUT INTENSE IN A GOOD WAY. DEFINITELY A NEW YA NOVEL WITH SOME SMOKING HOT LOVE SCENES.
OUR HERO is a five century year old half demon, half vampire. He is also a hunter, who basically I suppose hunts demon. During one of his many missions, he rescues Zari, his destined heartkeeper. Their relationship hitched off quite abruptly, it was a bit off the track but I guess it doesn't bother me much. The heroine was instantly attached to Alexandru upon sight, and vice versa. To say he was a jealous lover, was an understatement.
OUR HEROINE is a soul seer ( an individual who can see into the future events and also uncover the history of a place she's in) virgin and was kidnapped by trolls after an outing with her parents who we can assume are dead. When Alexandru rescued her, she was immediately attached to him and their sexual chemistry was obviously no joke. As a character, Zari is a sweet and brave but stubborn soul. I loved the moments when she challenges Alexandru's patience and pushes him like no one dares to.
OVERALL it was quite entertaining. Short but sweet kind of story with two great characters who ABSOLUTELY kept me going for more. The angst of an old lover making an appearance is one of my favorites. What is better than a jilted lover?

A warm and tender story surrounded by dark and evil. A must read prequel to Book One Beholden. Zari Baltimore was once just an eighteen year old human girl. Ensnared is the beginning of a love affair between a Master Vampire and a Soul Seer who must pose as a human pet. A pet must always be respectful, co-operative and never say No. She will have to call Alexandru master. Zari decides she can call Alexandru master but the laws are antiquated and need to be modernized. Alexandru is tender and gentle with Zari as he makes her his pet, bring her to a climax should has never had before. Very hot and steamy! When she wakes he has gone, leaving her to learn the ways of La Scala Ligaturia (The School of Bonds) to become the proper pet to serve her master well. Thank you Marian for your beautiful story. I can't wait to start Beholden.

I actually read Ensnared after Beholden. I know its messed up because I would already know what happened here, but it was pretty fine 'cause now I know the details as to why Zari just agreed to become Alexandru's pet. I cant really blame her for feeling secured with him. Especially since he did save her from being auctioned off by some nasty trolls.
Although the books remind me of the Fifty Shades Trilogy with a mix of Edward Cullen into it, I liked the story. Maybe because I liked both of those stories too. *Fangirl Alert* And apparently Mr. Grey is inspired by Mr. Cullen, which leads me to think that's how Marian Tee had her concept made for this book. But I really liked this book even without making comparisons to it. Its really nice and steamy. . . ♥♥

The story was unique, but way too short. I realize this was a prequel, but the set up was way too abrupt. Zari was found by the Vampire, Alexandru, to have not been broken, mentally, by her horrific treatment, yet she submits to him as her Master, after no prodding? I may have understood Stockholm syndrome, but Zari was not with her Master long enough, so her tie to him was ridiculous.
The eroticism was high. The covenant between Zari and Master was a bit unclear. She is his for how long? I dislike the way she is his pet, lik a good poodle. Alexandru shows no tie to Zari other than the promise of a sex slave in the near future. I can only hope he begins to have true feelings for Zari in order to recommend future books.

Ensnared is a short cute story and with some steamy scenes. The ending is obviously a cliffhanger but it is the where the journey between Zari and Alexandru starts. Ms. Marian I think you're going to put a twist in it and I'm kind of afraid for Zari, more like pity her because Alexandru mentioned something about the heart (I'm just going to say that word so I won't spoil it). You know what I mean.
But well, I know this will be a HEA just that the these two will experience a lot before they get it. Can't wait to read Beholden!

This is a prequel to Beholden and an introduction to Zari and Alexandru’s relationship.
Alexandru is on a mission, a mission to rescue a girl, a soul seer, from an auction being held by trolls with Zari being the item on sale. This is a Marian Tee book so of course there are amusing moments. Well there is going to be when said vampire is able to read your mind as you are unable to block him from what you are thinking!
Alexandru doesn’t like how he is reacting to Zari but what can he do when she agrees to be his pet, well accept of course.

What an interesting prequel about a "good" vampire who rescues a 18 year old human soul seer from a vampire slave auction. Alexandru rescues Zari and he plans on sending her somewhere safe but she doesn't want to leave him. To stay with him she agrees to become his "pet" and he her "master". I really enjoyed this short story, perfect for lunchtime or a hot soak in the bath. It's appropriate for 16+ with only light sex scenes. I can't wait to read more of this story, just have to know where their relationship goes.

I recieved this story for an honest review by the author. This is a story of a master vamp and his human pet. Alexandru and Zari are caught in a fueding life style where evil is approaching them. He is a master warrior who has never had a pet before. But when he rescued Zari he knew that she had to be kept safe at all costs. This is the prequel to the rest of their story. Great job Marian Tee.

I want Alexandru to rescue me, please! Oh, what a vampire to behold! Zari is one lucky seer to be rescued by such a warrior. I would've accepted to be his pet the moment I laid eyes on him.Marian Tee has such a way with words that she draws you in from the start. If you're fond of vampire tales, then this series is for you!

I'll admit, this is partially my fault, since I read the description and that "why not?"
Well here's why not:
- the characters are unbelievable and the unrelatable
- not enough back story (I guess I'm supposed to have read part of the series first?)
- erotic scenes just felt forced (seriously awkward)
The good news is this is really short. Perhaps this is good if you're already a fan.

The story starts out strong- somewhat bizarre and disturbing. This was not a typical vampire story. Zari seems to be a fairly independent person who gets caught in a precarious situation. Her rescuer is someone she never would have expected, nor how her life would change. This starter to the series is interesting enough to keep reading.

Weird to see Alexandru act "weak and whiny" and my heart totally got shot at when he mentioned her *bleh*

I know that this book was a prequel but I still thought it moved too fast and was a little hard to understand. Also, the characters made life altering decisions in a matter of 1-2 sentences......

Well' I love the relationship of the master and the pet, but this novella was a bit too erotic for my liking...so I'm not sure if I'll continue reading this series...
