His Reluctant Lover

Rate this book

But Georgette can’t have a Yankee break through her defenses so easily! She has goals of her own and she can’t let some man, no matter how delicious he might be, interfere with those goals. Dylan loves Georgette’s southern ways. She’s funny, intelligent and passionate. When they touch, they set the night on fire! So why is she running away from such a perfect union? What happened in her past that has her running the other way?

"His Reluctant Lover" is the story of Georgette and Dylan.

An adorably fantastic tale of pursuit and love between a reluctant heiress and an ex-playboy hero. There is matchmaking, jealousy, chase, romance, lovemaking followed by some drama, convincing and HEA. I really enjoyed how fixated the hero was, and how he slowly wooed the heroine to fall in love with him. She had her inhibitions, but all were brought down by his snarky confidence and relentless determination.

Great story

I love all of Elizabeth Lennox's series but I think this series might be my favorite. She paid so much humor and love and passion in this series and especially this book. Georgette's pain over her past was palpable although I got frustrated at times over her stubbornness to let it go. Drama family is a riot and the epilogue had me nearly in tears I was laughing so hard! I couldn't believe the pranks Dylan's brothers pulled! I highly recommend this series and that you read them in order.

Always a good time

This is the third book of the Alfieri Saga and I'm definitely not disappointed! Lennox knows just the right amount of alfa male to give Dylan to keep you on your toes without being too much. The female leads can sometimes be a hit or miss with me, but Georgette was a great for me! I could relate to her as well as her fear of the whole aspect of marriage.

Overall, I couldn't stop reading this treasure and absolutely love this series!

The book had its funny moments. But the funniest by far was the epilogue. After reading Marcus’ story, I realized each of these books had an epilogue which was more interesting and funny so I had to read them all.

Another love story done welll

Grandfather sets a romance in motion. Granddaughter isn't interested in the handsome alpha chasing her. She wants a safe boring man that if he leaves she won't care.

Of course it never works that way. HEA some cheating, not really cool.

Love the inter-play between these two characters. She seems like she knows everything and has experiences to back them up but it's a front. A cool southern belle frilly covering that she pulls on to protect her from anything just not so. Anything not perfectly square, upright and uptight is subjected to this attitude. Dylan sees it for what it is and refuses to let her put up barriers against their attraction to each other . In short, he's perfect for her even if she doesn't realize it or accept it. It helps that he has (business)experience winning people over to his point of view. Redheads (auburn) have a reputation for being feisty, opinionated, obstinate, mercurial, and tenacious. I'd say that makes her up to the challenge of being able to hold her own with Dylan. They are the perfect match for each other, thankfully someone noticed and threw the two of them together so they could find out for themselves.

I was expecting a little bit more in this story about Dylan but I like it :)

The strong man was very good but what I adore was Georgette! O-M-G!

The book gave me a feeling that it may have been another era all together but I then remember that even in todays society, some families tend to teach their children the old ways (I know my mom tried LOL)

I think the idea behind why she didn't want to get married was a good thing that the author should have explored a little more but for a novel this long was very well done.

I was really looking forward to Dylan's story and let me tell you this story does NOT disappoint! Like another reviewer stated "I couldn't put it down and I was disappointed when it ended. I wanted the story to go on and on! That's how good the book is." I agree all the way! The BEST so far!

His Reluctant Lover (Book #3)

Georgette comes down to Dinner with her Mother and Grandfather and an unexpected guest appears! Dylan Alferiti! She get a most unusual feeling when Dylan watches her! She is very uncomfortable when he tells her they will be lovers! Read this exciting book to see if they do,indeed, become lover s!

I did not like series, but I have now changed my mind.

Plot was good, flow was good, happy ending was fantastic, however, there were many spelling mistakes.
Is it so hard to make a manuscript into an ebook?

He was too easily swayed by her southern charms for me. I liked how he convinced her that he was the one for her.
