so short like reading a sample.
This prequel is pretty much summed up in the synopsis.

I was really excited when I found out about this prequel novella! I loved the characters story in their full length book, Trusting You, so I was excited to find out how their story started! I knew it was going to be hot! The cover is also seriously hot too! This novella was amazing, but it was seriously short! I mean, I know it's a novella, but it felt super short compared to some other novellas I've read! It did include the first five chapters of Trusting You though! I really enjoyed this novella as well! The author did a brilliant job of showing how the two characters first met, and I loved getting to see the sexual tension between them, even from across the room! The plot also had some seriously hot scenes in it! This author's sex scenes are always seriously steamy though, so I knew this novella's were going to be no different lol! The plot also went at a great pace and I read it in one sitting! I think that was because it was really short though lol! Overall, I loved the plot and it was the perfect addition to the characters story! The characters were again amazing! Melissa was again the main female character and this novella shows you the scene that makes Melissa the person she is in Trusting You! I felt really sorry for her in the scene, but then she did something that made me laugh so hard! It was so funny, and she totally taught her ex-husband not to mess with her! Melissa was an amazing character as well! There was something about her that just instantly made me like her and connect with her! She was still the same Melissa that she was in Trusting You, which I loved too! She was a brilliant character and I'm really happy that the author wrote a bit more to her story! Brett was again the main male character and the love interest of Melissa! Again, I just loved Brett in this novella! He was hot, just a tad cocky, protective, and had a stable life and career! I also loved that I got a glimpse of Brett before the events of Trusting You and before he had met Melissa! Even though it was brief, it was really interesting! Brett was also such an intriguing character in this novella! If I hadn't already read the full length book to his and Melissa's story, I would have been desperate for it to find out more about him lol! Overall, I adored Brett in this novella and he was seriously hot! I also loved that this novella was written from both Melissa and Brett's point of view! Well, I think maybe just one or two chapters were written from Brett's point of view lol, but it was enough! I can't remember off the top of my head if Trusting You is written from both the Melissa and Brett's point of views, but I think it's only written from Melissa's, so I loved getting to spend a few chapters in Brett's head! The cover for this novella is so hot! It suits it perfectly, and it looks awesome with the cover for Trusting You! Big thank you to L.P. Dover for an ARC of What He Wants!

Hot, steamy read!! This is the prequel novella to Trusting You, explaining how Brett and Melissa met. Now it is a novella, but there is definitely enough in there to make you want to stop what you are doing and download Trusting You so you can continue their story.
L.P. Dover, to me, is one of those authors that when she has a story come out, I automatically one click. No matter what she writes, stories of Fae, MMA Fighters, or teachers, you know it will be one of the best stories you have had. I have been hooked for a long time now.

On a more personal note, she is as nice and sweet in person as she is on Facebook. I was lucky enough to meet her in Charleston and just couldn't believe how sweet she was when I could barely speak during a fangirling moment.

I'm a huge fan of L.P. Dover and read everything she writes. I was so excited when I heard about this erotic short and I wasn't disappointed with what I read at all. This short is all about how Melissa and Brett first met and their one night stand. If these characters names sound familiar to you that's because they have their own story called Trusting You which is part of L.P.'s Second Chance Series. This story managed to make me fall in love with these characters all over again and then of course I had to read their story. A definite must read. I recommend buying her book Trusting You to find out what happens with these two wonderful people.

I absolutely loved this book! After Trusting You, which is one of my favorite LP Dover books, I've always wondered what the back story to Melissa and Brett was all about.
This novella tells it all. It's hot and steamy in all the right places. Plus, it lays out the scene for the rest of the awesomeness that is LP Dover and her sexy MMA fighters, even though the Second Chance series are stand alones.
I highly recommend this novella to anyone who loves a true love story with all it's twists and turns.

I love how you got a first look on Melissa and Brett's first night together! This book was amazingly written and I absolutely loved it! It was intense and sexy all in one!

Loved getting to read about Melissa and Brett's first night together. These two characters have such amazing chemistry that you won't be able to put this novella down. As always LP Dover has done an amazing job!!

I loved this. I could not put it down. It moves along at an awesome pace, you cannot help but fall in love with these characters and the story wow, need more...L. P. Dover is an amazing author and you must read her books. Once you do you will be hooked.

A Great prequel novella to Trusting You. I loved reading about that first night between Brett and Melissa. (who are 2 of my favorite characters in the Second Chance Series). A great read!
