This useful book with great photos is all about what is happening in the great American West.

Cactus and fiestas, saddles and roundups, pioneers and miners, ranchers and artists--it's all in this book!

I liked it that a whole section was about "Hispanic Heritage," along with "Cowboy Culture" and "High Adventure."

Some great appendices with state-by-state resources on "Collecting the West", "Old West", "Watering Holes," and "Rendezvous, Rodeos, and Gatherings".

Sad to say I saw no entries in those appendices under New Mexico for the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta or Carlsbad Caverns, nor did I see any mention of a single restaurant in New Mexico!
