This was my first book by Nesta Newman and I loved it.
Even though I must admit I am not a fan of reverse age gap and when the MMC is the submissive one, the storyline was still very smooth and the spice was definitely spicing 🥵🥵🥵
I am a goner for Taboo romances, especially the Professor/student trope and it was my first when SHE is the Professor and he is the student.
Yet, I must admit I cringed a little when she was "dominating" him. I guess I am a submissive through and through but if this is your kink RUN get this book!
Also, I absolutely love Emma (the FMC) she is an absolute modern warrior woman trying to juggle her new life as a mother and her career as an academician. And she is SO relatable. Her struggling in balancing her motherhood and her career while also trying to save herself from a toxic marriage...
But where this book has been more healing for me, was when she felt so self-conscious and insecure in her "new body". A body that has grown life and still nurtured it. The baby pooch, sagging breasts, the stretch marks... My last baby was born more than 3 years ago but my body was definitely and irrevocably marked by them.
And it felt good reading about a woman my age with the same self-confidence issues.
And Liam... Liam is the sweetest golden retriever puppy boyfriend that one could dream about. I loved that he is so totally wasted on Emma.
He absolutely WORSHIPS her and it is so beautiful. His love so raw and unconditional...
He is definitely on my list of fav bookboyfriends!
Also, he is a consent king and WE LOVE THAT 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻

***SPOILER ALERT*** in this review.
So this trope was a first for me. This is a reverse age gap where Emma(FMC) is older than Liam(MMC) and is also his professor. Now that’s wasn’t the first for me that I’m talking about. The first for me was the kink where she liked to be in control. Not sure that’s really my cup of tea, but I still enjoyed the book.
The prologue confused me a little, but once I got through that it was smooth sailing.
Emma is in a verbally abusive marriage to Dave( I cannot stand him) who is also cheating on her and just berates her any chance she gets. Soon Emma decided to put herself and her baby first and gives into her desires for Liam.
Liam, is a full golden retriever and falls head over hills for Emma and her baby, he wants to build a life, but getting to that point doesn’t come without heartache, but they do get their HEA and I couldn’t be happier for them.
Now let’s chat spice, because holy geez there was a TON and I was here for ALL of it. Literally there was so much spice in this book. Lol 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Overall I really enjoyed this book and the authors writing and I look forward to reading more of her work.

Lessi questa storia quando era solo una novella. È quella che i lettori americani chiamerebbero "palate-cleanser", una storia senza troppe pretese per "pulire il palato" e devo dire che mi è piaciuta. Certo, ci sono moltissime scene hot con dinamiche dom-sub (ah, la dom è lei), però Liam è davvero molto molto dolce e insieme riescono a superare molti ostacoli (non da ultimo il matrimonio violento di lei), a rendersi forti e a crescere.
C'è una trama oltre lo spice? Sì, e anche personaggi secondari carini, ma tutto è un po' in secondo piano rispetto alle interazioni fisiche tra Liam e Emma. Ho apprezzato l'ambientazione accademica, descritta nelle sue vere dinamiche e anche che Liam fosse effettivamente molto votato alla ricerca, anche perché spronato dal suo vero amore. Comunque, se non vi dispiacciono i reverse age gap con un'eroina molto forte, questa è una lettura molto carina che coinvolge il giusto e si legge in poco tempo. Sicuramente super hot!

I first read this story as a novella and I liked the spice level but also how incredibly sweet Liam was, which is confirmed in the new book. The academic setting is great and full of details, while Liam and Emma's relationship is passionate and mind blowing. They find every way and every moment to be together and, even if it's wrong for the others, they fall in love and they fall hard.
I appreciated how Liam bonds with Emma's son and how protected he becomes even if she's usually the dominant one. Beautiful, can't wait for other books in the series.

Glad to finally be done with it. In choosing to read Milking It: A Reverse Age Gap Forbidden Romance by Nesta Newman, the attraction was age gap. Yeah, she is older, but not by much. After that, the sex part of the book rolled into a kink not of my flavor. In peeking over the line past one own taste, one has to be careful in making a review. To make fun of or disparage another’s kink is unfair. That reader has a right to something more than snark.
The first half of the book is about getting the male student as much sex as his married, recent mother thesis advisor can manage. There is a lot of angst, and a nicely developed, if rather light Dom/sub thing, with him the sub, but … Every time they have sex, the author has to repeat every one of the books formulas and too often in the same order and same words. There is an effort to give the lady professor a back story, it is formulaic, but the student’s back story is that he is horney and tends to be a sub.
By the end of the first half, all I want was for this to end.
Then Suddenly we get into the second half. We have reasons to believe the married professor is indeed hitched to a jerk. No surprise there just independent confirmation. The narrative shifts away from repetitious exchanges of bodily fluids, especially her milk, as the two move into more of the narrative being about feelings. Except:
Every thing and every thought is at some hyper extreme. It seems that together or apart the MCs are either headed into Massive Shattering Orgasms, or Massive Heart rendering hysterics. There is a Massive need for some chill pills. Having our main characters just this side of Massive coronaries may be how you play to the soap opera crowd, but by the end, I was worn out out and Massively disinterested in any further volumes of the like.
Credit to Nesta Newman for giving the reader a complete story. A wider vocabulary and images of characters not always and only shot though with shuddering emotions might make for a better read.

This was my first read from this author, recommended in a Facebook group. I absolutely swooned over Daisy Jane Wild One, so I was excited to dive into another reverse age gap romance.
I really loved the premise, the plot, the school dynamic, and the emotional weight behind their relationship. But honestly, it just needed more. Liam and Emma’s journey had so many layers, and I wanted those layers explored deeper. Their love story, the struggles, the sacrifices, deserved a little more time and tenderness. I was annoyed that she was in complete control all the time it seemed. When at the same time she was so exhausted from having to do everything for her ex husband. I also didn’t care for the use of “boy” so much.
I kept hoping the power dynamic would shift more once Emma was no longer Liam’s professor, especially during their intimate moments. He had already shown that, despite the age difference, he was more than capable, ready to love and care for not just her but her son too.
I found myself waiting for his moment to shine. An epilogue from Liam’s perspective, maybe years later with his PhD and his family , would have really brought things full circle.
In the end, I liked it, but I craved more depth between the characters. At times, their connection felt too surface level and rushed and solely about sex for a story that had the potential to dig so much deeper.

This is my first book by Nesta and I absolutely LOVED IT! It’s also my first reverse age gapped story that I truly enjoyed.
If you’re into some kink with um breast milk and a dominate woman taking what she wants from a college student then you’ll definitely enjoy this story 🫠
Emma is a miserable wife who is finally going back to work as a college professor after having her son. Her no good husband (who treats her like trash by the way) is against it. He truly believes she should be at home rotting away being a housewife. I’m glad she stands her ground as goes back anyway. This is where she meets Liam, a college student who’s going after his masters. He thinks Emma is so gorgeous and once he learns she just had a kid, he becomes even more obsessed with her and her um …. Breast milk 🤭
This story is definitely super steamy and hot and with it being a forbidden love trope makes it that much more steamier 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Milking It was pretty good, it had some interesting kinks, the FMC was in control. It's reverse age gap and professor/student. The MMC is willing to do anything for the FMC, he falls first. There is a surprise pregnancy, she ends up cheating on her husband for the MMC.
She goes through fear of losing her child and dealing with a divorce, falling in love with her student and having to tell his friends so she can spend the night and get help, to finding out she's pregnant after her child turns a year old. They eventually have a HEA.
Milking It is a good spicy book that makes you keep reading parts are funny and serious, Liam is a total golden retriever for Emma and I love it she deserves a man that will give her everything after a the way her husband treated her like she was disgusting after having his baby, Liam also has no problem telling people how it is and neither does Emma!

This has my favorite trope ever- forbidden love! This story is about Emma, an older professor who's in a not so great marriage and also has a six month old baby. Liam, who is earning his master's degree, is a student in her class. He can't help but be attracted to the beautiful Emma. She is everything he wants. I absolutely loved this story. Liam was so devoted to Emma and I love that she was the more dominant person in their smexy time. I adore a smutty story with a l@ctation k!nk. There is some cheating involved on Emma's part since she is married. But her husband is a total jerk tho. I highly recommend reading this book. I cannot wait to read more from Nesta!

This book was super spicy and fun. It focuses on the fun parts of a teacher/student romance between Liam and Emma but also manages to show some of the struggles when it gets real. Emma gets props for realizing her worth without needing a man to rescue her. Not many female book characters do. I liked that Liam was super devoted to Emma. He is definitely a golden retriever. He was the star of the book to me. Loved him.

Just not feeling it. Both of the couple seem immature, and while there was that tension of being caught, it seemed liked they were taking risks TO get found out. I'm not a fan of cheating stories anyway, but in this case especially, just f-ing leave, the husband was already cheating first. Just go. No need to overcomplicate things.

The writing was good, but unfortunately, the characters just didn’t do it for me. I wish I had known going in that Liam was weak and Emma was the dominant one. If that’s something you don’t mind definitely give it a shot.

Such a great story!!!
Behind the characters obvious lust for each other there is real love between them that, pardon the pun, sucks you in. Very emotional and very engaging dialogue. I definitely enjoyed all the characters. Looking forward to book 2 about Matthew and Natalie.

WOW. This book was incredible and multiple times while reading I had to stop and think: there’s no way this is Nesta Newman’s first full length novel, it’s just TOO good. This book reads like a bestseller. The characters are so well developed and while the smut was great, the storyline was even better. Honestly - finishing this book left me with only one question: WHEN will Nesta’s next book be published?? I need more! 😍

I love me a good reverse-age gap book.
Our FMC Emma is a professor and our MMC Liam is a student.
Emma is in an abusive marriage to Dave, she stays with him out of obligation to there son, who she loves with everything she has. When she learns that her husband is cheating on her, his attempts to destroy her self-worth and self-esteem hit home hard. Emma has had enough and makes the decision to put her self first.
Now that Emma has separated from her douche of a husband, she gives into both her desires and feeling for Liam. Liam is such a sweetheart, he is supportive, understanding and a good listener but also falls head over in heels love with Emma and her baby.
Liam wants to build a life with her and her baby, but the only obstacle in there way is Dave, when he discovers Emma’s relationship with Liam, does he manipulate the situation that puts them in a tenuous situation, from heartache comes triumph and as they put that chapter behind them they look forward to their future with there growing family.
If you love a book that is full of pure steamy, spicy, sweet smut, which I was literally there for all of it, including lactation, surprise pregnancy, soft female dom, professor/ student relationship, reverse age-gap, with a side of verbal abuse and cheating then this book is for you.
