A love festival, an ancient legend, an online Marry Mason contest, and a surprise marriage of convenience...
What could possibly go wrong?
Plain Janie Adams may be a rule follower, but she’s no fool. When her sleazy boss dangles a promotion in front of her — a dream job producing TV news — she takes off for tiny Rose Quartz, New Mexico, to produce a feature on the town’s annual Valentine’s Day festival. Rose Quartz is famous for two things: its successful marriages, and its namesake mines that produce the mystical Love Stone, reputed to keep lovers true.
But what starts out as a simple assignment gets outrageously out of hand when sexy Mason Hart enters the picture. Owner of the last mine in town still producing the Love Stone, Mason is annoyingly brash, hotter than hell, and — thanks to a ludicrously antiquated family tradition — in a serious bind: If he doesn’t marry by his thirtieth birthday, just two weeks away, he’ll lose all claim to the family mines and ranch forever.
As an old legend resurfaces and Rose Quartz begins to work its magic, life as Janie knows it starts doing cartwheels. Voluntarily abandoning her hometown and what she thought was her perfect job, Janie shocks everyone — especially herself — with an impulsive dive into a marriage of convenience. But as she begins to re-envision the person she thought she was, she realizes her sham of a marriage is truly just a business deal, and her gorgeous husband is nothing but a stranger.
Will she end up losing Mason — or will she wind up gaining the life and love of her dreams?
MARRY ME TWICE is Book One of the Rose Quartz series. It is a contemporary romance novel set in small-town New Mexico. Book Two, CASSIDY'S DADDY, and Book Three, MIDNIGHT DREAMS, are also available on Amazon.
HEAT LEVEL: 3 Hatch Chili Peppers (out of 5) — This novel contains several fully developed lovemaking scenes, and plenty of sexual tension between the hero and heroine.

Janie comes to Rose Quartz to produce a feature story on the towns festival. In the process of working on the story she meets Mason. He's interested in her, but she doesn't believe he really is interested in her. Because Mason has to marry by the time of his 30th birthday there is a contest and Janie "wins".
Marry Me Twice is a great story. I first read the second book in the series Cassidy's Daddy. I wasn't sure if I would like Marry Me Twice, but I loved Cassidy's Daddy so much I had to try it. I was not disappointed.
A great story by an author with a great voice. If you want to read a sweet story with a bit of spice, this is the story for you.
Great at the start where I was excited about the flow of story.
Too weird towards the end! Did not feel the connection between the characters enough for them to judge each other and demand things from each other after 1 week of marriage of convenience!
I loved this book it was such a sweet story. So while the storyline is not believable I don't think is matters because it is a work of fiction. Janie was a romantic who loves history which is what drew her to Rose Quartz and Mason was a great partner for her. I didn't find this story to be just about Janie and Mason but about everything else going on like the tv show and the legend, it was from all of this that Janie and Mason emerged and their story evolved. I liked this about the book because it wasn't until well past the half way mark that the book really was focused on Janie and Mason and that meant that as a reader I got to see everything that was going on I i got to see what all the characters of the story were like. I just have to say that part of the book synopsis annoyed me I would not describe Janie as a plain Jane. I would recommend this book i thought it was a fantastic read and I finished the book smiling.
A small town creatively thriving on a legend of star cross lovers. A connection beween a woman, with stars in her eyes, unveiling the town's story and a man who profits from but doesn't believe the legend and is about to loose it all. What could possibly go wrong when her sister, his cousin and a sleeze-bag boss highjack the woman's vision of this romantic story? Love the small town vibe, quirky business names and the romance of the leap of faith. A feel good read.
This read has given me such a warm, soothing feeling, that's the only way I could describe it. I love this book, and I'll certainly be reading it again !
One of my favourite romance tropes, producer Janie Adams is in Rose Quartz to film a documentary series about the towns Love Stones and corresponding Valentine's Day festival. Meeting Love Stone miner Mason Hart for an interview, there's instant chemistry between the pair. Of course, there's a lot more going on in Rose Quartz. Mason is in need of a wife to fulfil a ridiculous family tradition, or he risks losing his land, his mines, his family's business. Janie has big dreams of making documentaries, without the demands of her asshole boss. With nothing to return home to, and with the help of her sister's date-night competition, Janie may just be able to help Mason out.
Massively predictable but adorably cute, this was an enjoyable freebie.
This story wasn't my cup o' tea, and I do tend to read a lot of romance novellas. I found this one to be a bit more on the tame-and-awkward side of the scale. Again, though, that's just me. Obviously other people have read it and enjoyed it a lot. But here is my take:
The characters were noticeably stilted and uninteresting for me. So much so that when Mason (I read the entire story in a few hours and actually had to look at the synopsis in another tab just to find his name, that's how unmemorable all the characters were to me) said he thought Janie intrigued him when they first met, I immediately rolled my eyes and burst out laughing. All she did when they first met was stare at him, and, eventually, she started quipping. Or trying to. Even when she was trying to be witty, she was pretty boring in my tastes. Another problem I have with this story is that everyone is ~magically~ telepathic -- knowing EXACTLY what to say at the right time -- without actually being telepathic. It's cheesy.
I'm not going to list everything I didn't like about this book, of course. But one thing that grated me a little later on in the story was when Janie was super awkward and quiet around Mason and wishing he would tell her more about himself; it's just... why don't you just ASK him to tell you more about himself? That makes no sense to me. Why just sit there and wish for him to start telling her more, instead of probing him to? Giving him a reason to? And for someone who kept proving himself to be "telepathic" multiple times with her, he was awful at picking up on stuff like her wanting him to tell her more about himself. Right? Use your words, dammit, Janie!
I found Mason to be super boring and not at all charming; in fact, for at least a quarter of the story I kept accidentally imagining him as Ray Romano, since his dialogue was pretty much exactly how I'd imagine Ray Romano to talk. I will give the story one point just for reminding me of Ray Romano alone. Thanks for that.
I'm a sucker for a story were the relationship is fake or were the couple is put together by a contract or convenience. In other words, I like a good pretend relationship. I like them even better when the couple that is thrown together falls in love. Who knew I was such a slush for romance? As long as it's in my books at least. (;
Janie was very likeable and just your average every day girl. She has been working at her job for almost a decade as her older sister's assistant for a TV show. She has had dreams of producing and has finally caught her break. Now if her boss will just give her room to do her story her way she would be fine. But it doesn't work out that way and the story she wanted to tell has now been turned into a bachelor show and poor Janie is thrown in as the victor. The prize? Marriage. Mason has been working hard on his ranch and mine and is quite wealthy. But all that is about to change and be taken away from him on his 30th birthday if hasn't found a girl to marry. After being interviewed by Janie's sister Rosemary their boss wants them to focus more on Mason because he's so handsome and charming and is bringing in ratings. But once his cousin and assistant reveals Mason's predicament to Janie's sister, Rosemary, the story changes from being about the festival to being a love match for him. Janie's boss rigs the story and expects her to be the winner and to marry Mason and then get an annulment all for ratings. She is disgusted by her boss and what he expects from her just to get some ratings. So she comes up with her own plan. I won't say much more because I've given plenty away as it is. But what follows is an awkward relationship that turns sweet then into love. It was very low on angst and just an enjoyable read.
If your looking for something that is an easy read with likeable characters and that gives you a few laughs then pick this one up.
I loved this story. It was very sweet & romantic, but not overly sexual as a lot of romance novels tend to be. The story was a bit far-fetched, but it was easily overlooked because of the depth of characters and the fantastical setting of the town.
I don't know what was going on with this book. There was A LOT of backstory about the town and this epic love and then it kind of jumped all over the place. I'm not sure how Mason and Janie went from being good with each other and learning about each other to not communicating and being in a terrible to each other. I mean what? And how about you take a second to maybe think about protecting yourself from any potential STD's/pregnancies with a complete stranger? I mean really...
Combine one blue-eyed hunk, one timid woman, and a piece of rose quartz, and you get a tempting romance that stirs the soul and warms the heart. Mason and Janie make great chemistry amid passion and misunderstandings that will leave you turning the pages. Very enjoyable!
it was a slow start, but towards the middle half that's when the story got more juicy! i will read from this author again, to give it another try. i did get teary at the end, sweet story for Valentine's read.
This is fire book I have read by this author, it won't be the last. What a fun and quirky book. I really loved Mason and Janie, wanted to tell Janie's boss where to shove it, and maybe hit her sister.
This is a sweet romantic story about two people who meet by chance and fell in love. Can Mason and Janie work through their fears and find true, everlasting love? The love scenes in this story are pg13.
Jamie and Mason feel the sparks the first time they lay eyes on each other. Her job producing articles for a news station brings her to town to develop a story, but then she becomes a part of the story. Sweet with a hint of heat
Oh my this was truly a beautiful well written love story. I stay up just about all night just to finish reading this story. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book.
A bit on the hokey side but a lot of fun moments. The author has a very romantic side and it shows in her writing! This is a story about a romantic female who tries to be hard core and decides that being hard core is not what it's cracked up to be! Enjoy
This was a very light read but enjoyable nevertheless. There were many LOL moments. Mason was adorable and quite funny. He and Janie got a HEA, which they deserved.
"Marry Me Twice" is the first book in the Rose Quartz Series. Mason Hart must marry before his 30th birthday in order to hang onto the Three Harts Ranch and the Hart Mine, the source of the rose quartz that helps keep the town alive. Janie Adams is producing a week long TV special about the small town of Rose Quartz and its reputation as a place that makes love and marriage happen. The plot involves the contrived marriage between Mason and Janie as part of a contractual obligation and all the ensuing complications that arise from such a so-called "business arrangement" . The characters are well developed, and three dimensional but Janie's ambivalence was over the top at times at times, which seemed to act as a drag on the pacing. I alternated between being empathetic to Janie and wanting to shake her and tell her to grow up. A bonus is that it is almost free of typos and misused vocabulary. As we expect of a romance novel at the end of a day, it was satisfying and entertaining.
Carried along Mason and Jamie's story, I couldn't put it down until I finished the story. Rose Quartz, a tiny town in New Mexico, was a town with a legend of lovers who never got to fulfill their love but every year they had a festival celebrating them and the power of everlasting love. The rose quartz stone has become a symbol of the legend and thus the story starts as Janie a producer for a tv show decides she wants to do segments on the festival. Then she meets Mason and then things go crazy from there. Some sex scenes in the story but they blended into the story seamlessly. A fun read that fills up your time!
3.5 stars, but that rounds up to four. The book is written well, and I enjoyed both Janie and Mase as characters. I thought the background of the legend and the history of the town was nice. But as pleasant as the book was, it never really got beyond pleasant. I kept waiting for that extra something, but the end came first. I can't point to any one thing that turned me off - the writing is good, the characters are fleshed out - but at the end I had no temptation to carry on with the series. Worth reading, but it won't be a re-read.
