I love how Elle James cam cram so much romance and suspense in so few pages and have a bit of character development on top. This story is fast paced from beginning to end and hot SEALs are just the beginning. The heroine, a doctor is just wonderful, compassionate and hot for her SEAL.

When rich and powerful owners are kidnapped, and their yachts go missing people in power call in the SEALs and it's a tough job, but SEAL Jack Fischer "Fish" has to go undercover as a deckhand off the coast of Honduras. It seems that glamorous yachts aren't the only vessel to attract the attention of the guerilla terrorist pirates. They are now after a floating medical vessel or is it just the pretty doctor running the humanitarian aid clinics.

After losing her husband and infant daughter in a tragic car accident, Dr. Natalie Rhoades has devoted her life to serving the underprivileged with her nonprofit medical vessel. While running a clinic on the beach she and her group come under attack from a leftist guerrilla group when the deckhand from a nearby luxury yacht comes to their rescue. Natalie sees she needs better security and offers Jack a job. A job isn't the only thing Natalie is offering the hot SEAL after being alone for two years. Together Jack and Natalie are very combustible and a great team.

SEAL's Obsession by Elle James is a fairly quick read, a great choice for those with limited time for reading. Ms James has delivered a well-written book and loaded it with phenomenal characters. Natalie and Jack's story has plenty of action, suspense, humor and sizzle to keep readers attention firmly on this book. I enjoyed SEAL's Obsession and look forward to reading more from Elle James in the future. SEAL's Obsession is book 4 of the Take No Prisoners Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I purchased a copy of this book at a book signing.

Glad for the shortness of the book.. Spoilers, maybe..

OMG! Is it just me or are other’s tired of the heroine saying, “I can take care of myself?” It’s like it’s in every book lately. Jack wants Natalie to go back to the boat while he, and about 12 other Navy SEALs, look for a missing team member of Natalie’s. And out of her mouth comes that stupid line that authors have become so crazy about, and then guess what happened? Little Miss “I can take care of myself” got herself kidnapped.

And Natalie’s mad at Jack for not telling her he’s a SEAL. Really? They’ve known each other for 2 whole days, and had sex after one day. Why the heck should he tell her anything? If you’re only going to write 180 pages at least make it make sense.

If this had a heroine that was TSTL I’d be afraid the heroines in the other books would be too so I’ll pass on this author for now.

I did love all the SEALs. That's all this had going for it.

There were 2 explicit sex scenes in this book and the F-bomb was used 12 times.

As to the narration: Hmmm… Gregory Salinas wasn’t very good. His voices were ok but he really sounded bored through the whole book. If he’d read with more emotion, some kind of feeling, he’d have been a much better narrator.

SEAL'S OBSESSION by Elle James is part of her Take No Prisoners series. I have read other stories in this series and loved them so I was excited to read this one. It lived up to my expectations. It is a fabulous story that adds to this awesome boxed set. Jack Fischer is on a mission to save hostages and take down some nasty pirates. His mission takes a little bit different turn when he meets Dr. Natalie Rhoades. She is on a mission of her own. To help the sick and injured people that have access to no medical care. Jack and Natalie end up working together and creating some mighty fine sparks and steam while they fight against the pirates. This is part of the Take No Prisoners series but no fear, you don't have to have read the prior books, this one works just fine as a stand alone. If you haven't read the rest of the series you might want to give them a try though. I think you will enjoy them. Elle James has quickly became one of my new discovered favorite authors. I have been enjoying a lot of her work lately.

Great series. Nice to keep the seal team connected in the stories. Natalie is a dedicated doctor and leader of her team helping disadvantaged in poor countries. She has suffered the unspeakable horrible loss. Can she ever recover? Jack is a Navy Seal on a mission to protect the Doctor and her team against guerrillas. . When the doctor is kidnapped can they apprehend the culprits? Fate brings Hack and Natalie together. Can they survive with jobs on the other sides of the world? I wish there was mire on their future and do they make it.

Hanging

Unfortunately, Jack and Natalie's story felt incomplete. Jack is on an important mission when he meets the good doctor. He realizes her medical might be a target for the guerrilleros. Natalie is moving forward in her life and must keep busy, if not she will sink into depression. Her past is a sad story.

Their story was good then it felt like it left me hanging, which I did not like.

I received a free copy of this book for an in return for an honest and impartial review.

Elle James has a number of series out there and a favourite of mine is the Take No Prisoner Series. SEALS Obsession is the fourth book in the series and SEALS Obsession is the fourth book in the series and also appears in the Hot Alpha SEALs: Military Romance Megaset. While some of the characters from previous installments pop up and references are made to them, they can all be read as standalone. I wouldn’t recommend that however, being the type of person who prefers to read a series from the beginning starting with the first book, but hey, that’s just me!

In this installment we get to go to Honduras where SEAL Team 10 has been sent to try to find the leftist guerillas who have been taking hostages and ransoming them, using the funds for their guerilla activities. The latest hostages, who are still being held somewhere in the jungles of Honduras have some pretty high powered contacts and connections, hence the job/holiday for SEAL Team 10.

Using an expensive yacht and Jack Fisher, aka Fish, playing the role of a rich, bored and handsome young man, the hope is that they will attract the attention of the guerillas. It turns out that it isn’t the guys who attract the attention of the guerillas, it’s actually a medical team who are travelling on a medical boat helping to treat the locals in need.

Jack helps to thwart an attempt on the medical team. A minor injury sustained in helping to protect the medical team and ensure their safety gets Jack an in on the boat as security. Will the terrorists attack again? Where will the next attack be and when?

It becomes quite obvious that Jack is focused on doing his job, but he is also focused on the young and beautiful Dr. Natalie Rhoades the head of the medical team. Natalie has been through a lot in her life and she is doing her best to cope. Can she find her way past her grief to live again and what is Jacks role in this going to be?

I really enjoyed this story and was intrigued by the medical team, the work they were doing, the setting and the way that SEAL Team 10 was woven into the story. It all connected and made for an interesting read that had me sitting on the edge of my seat wondering when that next attack would happen and who the target would be. I sort of guessed who it would be, and also why but it was still surprising when it happened. Thankfully Jack thought ahead and I won’t spoil the surprise that enabled him to locate Natalie in the jungles of Honduras.

Jack is first and foremost a SEAL. He is also a kind and considerate person and he has an inner core of both strength, caring and honour that I found very intriguing. He genuinely cared for Natalie and only wanted the best for her and I loved his little mini lectures for the doctor on how to look after herself.

One thing that really did have me wondering was how Ms. James was going to resolve the further development of the relationship between the dedicated SEAL and the even more dedicated doctor, and make it into something more than just a few days of fun on the beach/boat. This is always the difficult part of the story and so many authors go the way of huge sacrifices being made, but what Ms. James did stayed true to the characters in the story, their jobs and who they were as people and this is also a testament to her writing skills.

I do have a little quibble and that was that this story, while hot, wasn’t nearly as hot and sexy as some of Ms. James other installments in the series. I have to admit that I like a certain level of heat in my books but I also have to say that it certainly didn’t detract from the story. In fact, when thinking about it afterwards, it made the connection between Jack and Natalie seem more real and believable.

This story wasn’t just about the developing relationship between Jack and Natalie, it had excitement, danger and a fair bit of action to make it that much more entertaining and riveting!

I loved this installment in the series and cannot wait to see who will be next. Great job again Ms. James! Keep them coming!

Another great book in the Take No Prisoners series but also stands-alone.

Jack Fischer (Fish) is part of SEAL TEAM 10. The team is undercover in Honduras on a luxury yacht trying to draw out terrorist pirates. Jack is playing the role of a rich, bored and handsome man who seems to have no cares at all. The team thought their yacht would draw out the pirates but instead they target a medical boat that provides free care to locals.

Jack ends up working security for the medical boat and Dr. Natalie Rhoades isn’t sure what to make of him. She suffered a terrible loss when her husband and baby girl were killed in a car accident a few years before and she is unwilling to open her heart to the possibility of such loss again. She fights her attraction to Jack and loses the fight, of course, or else this wouldn’t be a romance. LOL

The story of how Jack and Natalie get to their HFN is fast paced and engaging. If you like stories about hot SEALs you will love this one. If you haven’t read the other books in this series I recommend you give them a try.

I purchased the Hot Alpha SEALS Military Romance Megaset and this book was included in that set.

Great installment to the series, starring: Jack Fischer and Dr. Natalie Rhoades

Jack Fischer "Fish" goes undercover as a deckhand on a floating medical boat in order to find a terrorist. What Jack finds is not only is he protecting the medical boat but he is falling for the beautiful doctor.

Dr. Natalie Rhoades, has dedicated her life to helping people who don't have access to good healthcare through her nonprofit floating medical boat. When she finds herself and her crew the target of a leftist guerrilla group, she is glad the new deck hand is good at fighting.

The heat between Jack and Natalie is off the charts, it may not be the right time for Natalie since her baby daughter and husband is dead after an accident, but she is so drawn to him.

This is the 4th book in the take no prisoner’s series and I am hooked on them. I have read each and every one and they just keep getting better and better. Jack and his team have been hired to save some hostages and stop some pirates that have been causing trouble. When he helps to rescues a floating medical team. He meets Dr. Natalie Rhodes and realizes the pirates may be after her and her team. Jack decides to take a job on the medical boat to watch over the team and hoping to use them to lure the pirates in. His only problem is he has fallen for Natalie. Great read. Actions packed and Jack and Natalie are one hot couple. I could not put it down. Looking forward to more.

Love an Elle James tale !! Jack is a Navy SEAL working undercover as a yacht worker when he finds Dr. Natalie on a hospital boat, being fired upon by guerilla fighters from the jungle. He maneuvers his jet ski and saves the day. He offers to take leave from his job on the yacht, to help them travel farther up river. He figures he can guard them better up close, and get to the source of the guerilla strong hold. Not everyone on board likes him. Natalie and Jack become close and to survive must stick together. Great characters, interesting tale, and hot sex make this worthwhile !!!
ENJOY !!!

In SEAL's Obsession Jack Fischer "Fish" goes undercover as a deckhand on a floating medical boat off the coast of Honduras owned and operated by Dr. Natalie Rhoades. SEAL TEAM 10's on assignment to find the local guerrilla fighters that have kidnapped Americans.

Romance between the hot SEAL and the pretty Doctor starts during the operation. Of course the SEAL TEAM 10 finds the stronghold and the Americans along with the Doctor when she was taken too.

Jack wants more from Natalie as she has become the SEAL's Obsession.

Not nearly long enough!

From the beginning you knew where this was going but the action and story made it a good reading. Still it ended too soon. There was lots more places this romance could go. Would like to have had it extended to how they made their love for each other work out.

Had to read another Elle James book to make up for the disappointment in the one I just finished. This one is back to form with interesting protagonists, guerrillas in the jungle posing a threat and a quick and satisfactory action/romance.
