I've been in a bit of a reading funk lately and 'The Lethal Infected' was just what I needed to kick my new year reading off to a good start. Mind you in just three days I had already started and gave up on three different books before starting this one. I should of read slower... I've been a Kiera Hudson fan since day one and never once has Tim disappointed. Always giving his fans that escape from the daily grind. Sucking us in, one page at a time. By now, we have been through every heartache, shed some tears at our favorite characters, cussed out Potter (and Luke back in the early days), and laughed along at the banter and sharp wit. Kiera is long over due for her own happy ending and I hope the poor girl eventually gets it (<
Needless to say I am never disappointed when reading one of Tim's books as they never fail to capture my attention and keep me turning the pages until 2.30am this morning. That old saying "It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" - well I think Keira begs to differ on that one. So many tortured memories of Potter threaten to overwhelm her yet there is a connection in this time but should she pursue something she gave up in order for them to have happiness without her. I think happiness is over-rated and she should just seize the day but I am not Keira and then there would be no story to tell as happy equates to boring. I am right there with her wishing for Potter to make the choice and pursue the bond that he feels for her but so much 'stuff' is in the way. Who is controlling the strings and as you get a tiny piece of the puzzle, more questions appear and you are still left wondering what the hell is happening. I tend to agree with the other reviews - nice touch with the ending, talk about a cliff hanger but we are used to that by now. Thank God Tim writes quickly or we would all go crazy waiting for the next book to give us some clarity on that situation.
Will they remember who Keira is or do they already know? Keira is back in the driving seat, where she belongs. Having her heart ripped out by potter as normal. Will there ever be a happy ending for Keira? Will the dream she had in a past where and when happen as she dreamed it?
Another gripping read by Tim as normal. Roll on March....
Love the way this series is headed but I am sad for Kiera and hope she can find happiness in this when and where. Another fantastic read by Tim O'Rourke can't wait to read more :)
