Overtime Daddy

Rate this book
One fight, one loss, one baby on my porch.
Now I’m raising a daughter I never knew I had…

With the one woman I was never supposed to fall for.

I’m Liam Calloway—enforcer, chaos magnet, headline machine.
I’ve punched half the league and pissed off the rest. But nothing prepared me for this.

A baby. Mine. Left with nothing but a name and a note.

I don’t know diapers. Bottles. Cribs.
But I know Sophie Carter.
PR mastermind. Ice queen. The one woman who’s handled my messes for years without ever letting me get close.

Now she’s in my house. Holding my daughter like she belongs. Sleeping on my couch. Fixing everything.

And the more time we spend together, the more I want what I was never meant to have.

Her.

But when the cameras turn, the past claws back, and the spotlight finds us again—
I’ll have to prove I’m not just a story she’s spinning.
I’m the man who’ll protect what’s mine.

Her.
The baby.
And this family I never saw coming.

Read on secret baby, hockey daddy, forced proximity, fake dating, and one rough man going soft for his girls. Heart-tested. Soul-deep. HEA guaranteed.

Our hero Liam admits that he has no idea what he is doing, and he calls the only person who he knows can fix it for him… our heroine Sophie!

This author has a way with words, for sure.
I could literally feel the panic from Liam, and even though I got the giggles when he kept putting his foot in it, every interaction felt real.

I love the ‘he falls first and hard’ tropes. It’s still never a done deal, and he usually fights it, but the journey is always a fun one to read.
This one did not disappoint. Our hero had a lot of growing to do, and I completely believed his progress.

There were a few discrepancies in the book (eye colours etc), but nothing major that would cause me to stop.
Otherwise, this was a surprisingly emotional read. Sophie and Liam’s story was truly enjoyable, yeah it was a rollercoaster ride, but it was worth it to get to that HEA… so cute!!

P.S. - Author, I need to read about the rest of the team asap!.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked how his baby that he didn't know about changes Liam's life. He falls in love with his daughter. He calls for help from Sophie. I liked how looking after Lily leads to Sophie and Liam falling in love. There was some not so nice moments but they handled it and came out more in love.

Liam may not know it at the start but Sophie is the one for him, bringing him through when he has a baby dropped at his doorstep. Helping to heal his wounds and his heart, she is just right for him. A lovely steamy romance. I wonder if Jake will get his own book one day?.

Finding a baby on his door step, Liam rings the only person able to help him with his disasters-Sophie. There's a lot to do and learn about his door step arrival-Lily. Will she last out the week or be heading for social services?.
