The first part is boring. A catholic altar boy turned old man shows his views on four movies chosen. I have no idea why he chose the four. Because the second part starts about Psycho.

Than you get a writing diarrhea. The guy has a vague idea about what the scenario is about. But he has a hard time finding it. The only relevant parts are those where he just translates in French what he read in four other books. Which you should read instead of this one. The excuse for this volume is two fold: maybe the guy needed the money or the ego trip to write a book about scripting. And the nationalist trip: we, the French, have it too.

Contenu intéressant mais beaucoup trop d’infos balancées dans tous les sens (un livre sur le scénario qui manque de structure ? Le comble). On aurait pu se passer de la première partie car les analyses des films auraient été plus intéressantes si mises en relief avec les concepts évoqués (ça a été fait en 2e partie mais de manière trop survolée et pas assez approfondie, tout comme certains concepts d’ailleurs. C’est dommage).

Ouvrage agréable et très bien écrit. La première partie s'intéresse à l'art du récit filmé à travers l'analyse de différents films. La seconde, plus pratique, donne des clefs sur l'écriture de scénarii.

Para las personas que necesitan ejemplos de cómo aplicar las cosas este es, hasta ahora, el mejor libro que he leído al respecto. Supongo que igual habrán mejores. Vamos a por ellos.

What a waste of paper! A poor bureaucrat in some French university writing about what he does not understand from movie scripts. A very bad idea, but one of the few if you can't read English.
