A jilted bride. A jaded divorce lawyer. A full tank of gas. What could go wrong?
As a cutthroat New York City divorce lawyer, it’s my job to end marriages. Lifetime commitment? It’s for the birds. I do everything in my power to avoid it…until my grandfather’s will says that to save our family’s land, I have to become a wedding planner.
Worse, my first client is Eden Becker. She’s the sunshine-y disaster whose ex-husband I represented a few years ago in their divorce. Eden’s first marriage was a nightmare, so why does she think another one is a good idea?
Turns out, I’m not wrong. Her jerkwad fiancé jilts her, and as her wedding planner, I’m also her getaway vehicle. Now we’re on the road together—and all my complicated feelings about this beautiful, naive optimist are in the car, too. Along with a wild attraction I’ve been fighting since we first faced off across a conference table.
If this road trip goes on too much longer, I’m going to do something I’ll regret forever.
Like fall in love.

It was so fun to jump back into the crazy Will readings of Grandpa Hott, and this time it was Rhys' turn to face the music. I love a runaway bride scenario, and Eden played this less than conventional role really well. As always, brilliant writing and a fun storyline. I can't wait to read Tucker's story next!
I'm seriously obsessed with this romantic series by Serena Bell. She writes with magic because I'm completely in love with the characters she's developed.
Rhys is a very yummy lawyer. Eden, one sexy and unique FMC. Their chemistry was out of this world. I found their story and hardships believable, and it made sense for their growth as people and how their story unfolded.
The spice was perfectly laid out and a lot of fun to read.
My favorite part, though, was the clever plot. It was just so much fun and entertaining while still ripping at my heart with emotions. Rhys's lines- holy mackerel. I adored all of it.
Seriously, so well done and a really beautiful love story that I never predicted how it ended, but absolutely loved the ending.
And now I'm desperate for the next brother's story!!!
Thank you to NetGalley, Jelsba Media Group, and Serena Bell for the ARC opportunity!
Although this is the first of the Hott brother series I have read, I am quickly backtracking to read the first 3 before the 5th comes out!!
This story was such an adventure to read! It was a fun and quick rom-com that I couldn’t put down. The concept of a jilted bride being rescued by her ex husband’s divorce attorney turned temporary wedding planner? Genius. I felt like everything from the characters to the plot pacing worked for this book and I’m happy to recommend it to fellow small town romance lovers.
This is book 4 of the Hott Springs Eternal series. Such a cute fun read!!
Rhys and Eden had a great storyline (a runaway bride, grumpy attorney coming to the rescue and a road trip with snacks… what can be better!?) I really loved how attentive Rhys was and all the after care he provided to Eden. I mean heated slippers?! I could get on board with that 😂😂.
If you loved the other Hott brothers books, you’ll love this one too!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars Running Hott by Serena Bell RELEASES July 14th!!!
I am living for the drama, the spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, and the slow-burn perfection in Running Hott by Serena Bell. Serena writes seems effortless and is so easy to read! You sit down and got lost in the story! And Rhys and Eden’s story? Utterly addictive.
Rhys Hott, divorce lawyer and certified grump, who suddenly finds himself contractually obligated by a wild twist in his grandfather’s will to successfully plan weddings at the family property, and by doing so, keep his family land and his sister Hanna can keep her job-as she runs the family business on that land. Enter Eden, the ex wife of Rhys’ client several years prior and now one of the weddings he has to plan. Plot thickens when she gets stood up on her wedding day and the groom that left her has some prized processions of Eden’s in his trunk. So Rhys takes Eden on a road trip to reclaim her items!
Yes, you read that right: jilted bride + emotionally unavailable divorce lawyer + unexpected road trip= THE BEST SETUP EVER.
The tension? Immaculate. The banter? Sharper than a cake-cutting knife. The chemistry? Unreal.
I am just loving this family more with each book! I’ve read Hott Shot first and now this one— the dynamics, the drama, the heart — and I honestly can’t wait to read the rest of the Hott brothers’ stories. Serena Bell, take all my money. 🙌
📚 If you’re into: 💌 Forced proximity 💍 Enemies-to-lovers (with wedding cakes) 📜 Family inheritance chaos 💋 Slow burn but spicy payoff 🏡 Small-town romance with big heart…
His grandfathers will stipulations have finally come for Rhys. What does the shark of a divorce attorney need to do? Plan and successfully execute weddings at his sisters establishment on the family land - or that land will go to developers. Rhys is ready to buckle down and get it done, except his first client happens to be a woman he's seen in a courtroom before - when he was helping her ex get almost everything taken away from her. Now he's here to finalize her wedding to a new man, who seems decidedly shifty before their big day.

I loved this one! The chemistry between Rhys and Eden was phenomenal. He had spent so long developing a persona of a cold, uncaring shark. Yet around Eden he couldn't help but to be kind, thoughtful and considerate. It brought them together in a slow and steady way, that it wasn't surprising when feelings developed and lines were blurred.
I loved how Rhys put Eden first, and still let himself lead with his heart. I adored how closed off and cautious Eden was, and that she had boundaries and expectations that she not only enforced with her ex, but with her own happiness moving forward.
This wasn't just a road-trip romance about two people forced into close proximity and chemistry developing. This was a novel about someone who hasn't been shown enough love, finally letting herself be loved in the right way, at the pace she was comfortable with. Rhys working at her level, making changes in his own life to support her, and showing up in both quiet and loud ways made this such a touching and fun novel, and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Rhys and Eden’s story in Running Hott by Serena Bell, book four in her Hott Springs Eternal series is a humorous, heartfelt, sizzling read where a grumpy billionaire meet sunshine, opposites attract story. This is a story about trusting yourself to find love and discover where you belong.
In order to fulfill his grandfather’s will stipulation to save his family’s land, Rhys Hott, a high-powered divorce attorney in NYC, must take over his sister’s wedding planning business for two months, in Rush Creek, Oregon. This is not something Rhys has any interest in doing. He doesn’t believe in marriage, and is chafing at the bit, being a wedding planner for two months. Worse, his first client is Eden Becker. She’s the sunshine-y disaster whose ex-husband he represented a few years ago in their divorce. Eden’s first marriage was a nightmare, so Rhys can’t understand why she would think another one is a good idea.
Eden senses that her wedding is becoming a huge disaster. The new wedding planner for her wedding is the cutthroat lawyer Eden’s ex-husband hired to handle their divorce a few years ago; even making her share custody of her dog. Then her fiancé jilts her the day of her wedding and Rhys is the one to let her know; everyone else is chicken. As if that isn’t awkward enough, in her desperation to escape from the wedding venue, she really only sees one choice, have Rhys drive her away.
While Eden cannot stand Rhys, she is determined to stop being taken advantage of by the men in her life. Her former fiancé, Paul, has her quilts in the trunk of their car and is on the run. She needs the quilts for an important show that can benefit her quilt shop and insists that Rhys drive her there to retrieve them. But it’s not that simple. Turns out, Paul has run many, many states away and this road trip gets more and more complicated.
Rhys and Eden both have emotional scars from their youth, ones that influenced their futures. Once they let down their guard and realize they have truly met the one, they are able to work through their demons, realizing what is really important to them. The road trip and the quest for recovering the quilts plus Rhys’s responsibilities in satisfying the will requirements adds up to a lot of funny twists and turns.
Ms. Bell provided a love story rich with heartfelt moments, an interesting road trip, sizzling chemistry, magnetic attraction, a caring community, clever banter, intriguing family trials, twists and turns, and the magic of love, providing an unexpected future together for Rhys and Eden. I loved Running Hott and can’t wait to see what’s in store for Tucker’ story.

I'll never say no to a road trip romance, but when you throw in the jilted bride/jaded divorce attorney complication, a whole lot of quilting, some adorable AF dogs, all the Hotts and the Wilders and their SOs *and* Cool Ranch Doritos--I mean, who can resist that?
Not me, that's for sure!
Eden and Rhys's story made me feel all kinds of things--it was fun and funny, steamy as all get out, and even made me tear up a few times. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from him from the little snippets we saw of Rhys in earlier books, but finally seeing what was going on in his head this whole time was absolutely everything. And Eden? I mean she's a quilter. We were always going to get along :)
I really enjoyed the way that Rhys ended up complying with his grandfather's will--I did not see that coming!--and the small teaser that we get of Tucker's story has me ready for it, like, yesterday.
Rating: 4 1/2 stars / A

Oh my grandpa Hott is at it again! When two people are Seemingly so different is forever even a possibility? Why did Rhys’s grandpa need to force something so horrible? Truth he knew I’d never let the family down. Sneaky man! Then Rhys meets Eden and his past interactions as her ex’s lawyer makes everything more complicated. This book was amazing and so well thought out. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know you’re 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
This is the 4th book in the series which follows a divorce lawyer who wants to help the jilted bride he has been trying to avoid. This was such a cute book and picks up after book 3’s aftermath; however, this book could be read as a standalone. I loved the storyline and had so much fun with it. The conflicts made the story enjoyable, and I loved the adventure the couple went on. I would say the pacing was fast for majortity of the book but I did realize it slowed down at the end. This book is told from dual pov of both Rhys and Eden.
Rhy is a NYC divorce lawyer who ends marriages and doesn’t comitment to relationships. However, he has to help his sister and is the wedding planner for Eden’s wedding. I liked his character and seeing his love for Eden develop. He cares for his family and I loved seeing his growth for when he left town. Then we have Eden who has been jilited and with Rhys hitting on her, she doesn’t want another relationship. I loved her character and hoenstly she’s bada** for still going after her stuff and not crying. There are many side charcters with some new ones. The romance is enemies to friends to lovers, he falls first, sunshine x grumpy, and slow burn. I do wish we did see the couple together longer and see them communicate more like the other couples did in the series.
The ending was well done, and I am excited for the last brother. He’s a complete mysterious and we don’t know anything about him. I recommend checking out this series but it would be more enjoyable if you start from book 1.
*this e-arc was sent to me by the publisher to give an honest review in return*
With Eden and Rhys’s history (and how they become reacquainted at the beginning of this book) this was quite the enemies to lovers setup. I love enemies to lovers, but the transition can’t be like flicking a switch. This was masterfully done and so believable. Eden was so strong and brave throughout. Rhys was drawn to her strength from the beginning. I loved how he saw that in her even through her original divorce proceedings. Watching the two of them grow and adapt to their new perspectives and circumstances felt so real. I’ve loved these series set in Rush Creek and how they are so connected. Serena does a great job of setting us up with hints of what’s to come and then leaving us hanging. I can’t wait for Tucker’s story and to see what Weggers, our favorite character we love to hate and hate to love, has in store with his letter.
Jilted bride Eden is upset..some about being left at alter but because her quilts for her show are with the runaway groom. Rhys who per his grandfather's will must help with a wedding. Rhys does what any good planner would do, grabs Eden and helps her track down the quilts. The adventure is funny and laughable. These two have a past working together when Eden divorced her husband Teller. Rhys was the attorney for Teller and he still hated represent Teller. These two have a chemistry they both try to ignore but both fail. Eden feels that Rhys has done more thoughtful things on the 2 day trip than both her ex husband and ex boyfriend. He cared and he listened. When Rhys makes a move to move back to Oregon from New York, he feels he wants Eden and a quiet life around her and his family. Funny how a badass attorney falls a lady and forever. Rhys thinks Eden is his HEA.
This novel is one in a series that all start with a very creative premise: in order to meet the terms of their grandfather's will and save the family land, each of the brothers must complete a task delivered to them in a letter from the family lawyer. The assignment is always something outside each brother's comfort zone, and the lawyer absolutely delights in delivering these missives. In this novel, Rhys is tasked with working at the resort as a wedding planner, even though in real life he is a tough divorce lawyer. In his new role he becomes the wedding planner for a former client's ex, Eden, who is subsequently jilted. They make a road trip escape and mayhem ensues. Ms. Bell's writing has me believing everything; the novel is a lot of fun, wildly funny at times, but also full of real drama and adult growth by Rhys and Eden. The spicy scenes are just perfect for the moments of the story. I stayed up way too late enjoying the wonderful dialogue and all the shenanigans in this adorable tale.
I was given an ARC of this novel and volunteered to write a review.
I enjoyed following Rhys and Eden on their adventure and feeling them slowly getting attached to each other. Their chemistry was good and I loved them together. Although, I couldn't really get attached to any characters. This is probably my fault since I haven't read the first 3 books though. Also, the pacing was a bit odd for me. I expected a bit more twists and turns with the plot and wasn't really satisfied with the ending. Overall very cute and fun read!
Thank you Netgalley for an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion 🫶🏽
Book 4 in the Hott Springs Eternal series and it’s time for grandpa Hott to interfere with Rhys’s life. Rhys is the sharkiest divorce lawyer in New York who doesn’t believe in love, so of course grandpa sends him on his mission back to Rush Creek and become a wedding planner. Eden is one of his clients, just two weeks out from her wedding day, is when she finds out that the divorce lawyer for her ex husband is now going to be her wedding planner! Serena has written yet another hilarious, full of banter installment for the Hott siblings. A grumpy X sunshine, forced proximity road tripping tale of family found and more importantly, love found book that’s got steam and a HEA. More from the Hotts please!!
I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own
This is fourth book in this series and I love everything about this book. I like how this story told the love story between these two characters it was like reading theirs ups and down and how they just want someone to be there for them when they come home from a log day at the office. It was becoming friends and started over and flirting with each other along the way. I love how they found a way to solve the problem that they had going on with the lawyer. I love how happy they make each other also.
It's time for another Hott brother to meet his destiny in the form of a letter from his grandfather giving him a task he has to perform to save his sister's land and business. This time, the lucky brother is Rhys, a cutthroat divorce attorney in NYC who is tasked with.....wedding planning? To add insult to injury, one of the weddings that he must see through to conclusion is that of Eden, a woman who lost her savings, full custody of her beloved rescue dog, and almost lost her livelihood when Rhys represented her ex in their divorce. When Eden is jilted at the altar, Rhys sees no choice but to help her track down her current fiance, all the while trying to control the strong attraction he's had ever since he first laid eyes on her.
There are such strong feelings and sparks between these two that tugged at my heartstrings as I was reading and rooting for them. Eden is the sunny optimist, who keeps moving forward no matter what life throws at her, Rhys is the stoic lawyer, so set in his path that he can't see any way to be happy and relaxed until he's taken way out of his comfort zone. The book features forced proximity in the form of a road trip, plenty of meddling Hotts and Wilders, and a satisfying emotional journey for Rhys and Eden on the way to their HEA.
I received an advance copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Another letter from Grandfathers will and Rhys is the lucky recipient. How to have a devoted divorce lawyer/non believer in marriage, step out of his vomfort zone? He becomes a wedding planner! I love these books. Rhys finds that he is planning a wedding for a woman whose husband he represented years before. During that time he was attracted to his client's soon to be ex - Eden. Eden is not lucky when it comes to men and her current fiance is no exception. Rhys and Eden become cohorts on getting her stuff from her ex. I love how these two come together while understanding that neither really believes in forever - wants to. I love how they met the grandfather's requirements for Weggers. Can't wait for Tucker's letter.
Oh wow! I was pretty fired up for about the first 40% of this book. Eden has been so many tough spots in her life, that if you are anything like me, you will be reading like crazy to figure out what all went wrong in her life and what part Rhys played in it, and ‘How on Earth could he do that?!?’.
Rest assured, Serena can always bring it back. This one is quite the roller coaster ride, and I was here for it all the way! Eden and Rhys were pure chemistry from almost the first page, with a long and crazy road trip to cement their attraction in the best of ways. As always, the characters never disappoint (except maybe for the town’s crazy lawyer, Arthur Weggers), and this wedding resort has all the fun loving craziness that I love in small town romances.
Another gem in Serena Bell’s Hope Springs Eternal series, that makes me that much more excited and dismayed that the series ending is near.
Thank you to Serena Bell for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I really enjoyed running hott. The plot, main and secondary characters were great. I really liked both Eden and Rhys, both had great personalities and a lot of chemistry together. Finding out about their pasts and what influenced them and their beliefs in life and love really showed why they thought and acted the way they did. I really enjoyed both of their professions and seeing the passion they had for them. Seeing their relationship journey and how they went about the relationship was done well and i like how Serena has all of the relationships differ in her books but still be so strong and loving in each individual way.
The next book in the Hott Springs Eternal series brings us Rhys and Eden’s story. I’d call it enemies to lovers, considering Rhys was the attorney who helped Eden’s ex-husband in their divorce. And now Rhys needs to help as her wedding planner to help meet the requirements for his grandfather’s will. After the initial “enemies” status, I really enjoyed these characters together, and the secondary characters are great as well. Small town romance with plenty of spice.
Thanks to Serena Bell for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Running Hott to come out July 14, 2025.
Eden is getting married at Hott Springs Eternal, and the man in charge of making it happen is none other than Rhys - the divorce attorney who once represented her ex-husband. When Eden is jilted at the altar, Rhys is the one who steps in, and the two of them end up on a cross-country road trip to retrieve her handmade quilts… currently locked in her ex’s trunk.
I adore this series, and each installment somehow manages to be as good as, or even better than, the last. Serena Bell has a real gift for character chemistry and sparkling banter. The quirky family dynamics, the strange stipulations in the grandfather’s will, the over-the-top setup — it’s all a little wild, but Bell makes it work beautifully.
This book in particular has everything I want: character growth, offbeat charm, great pacing, and a genuinely fun romance. I’m already looking forward to the next (final?) book and finding out who’s been sabotaging everything behind the scenes.
Big thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC - I’ll be recommending this one widely!
I enjoyed Rhys and Eden. I liked how everything played out. The two of them fall fast and hard. I liked that Eden stood firm and made Rhys work for it. Overall it was a good book I read in a couple of hours.
This was a really cute book. The two of them are now really against being in relationships but also want to be in one with each other. She is so scared that he's just going to run away but Rhys has to show her that he's not going anywhere and it's really cute groveling.
RUNNING HOTT is the fourth in Serena Bell’s fabulous Hott Springs Eternal series, set in small-town Rush Creek, where the Hott siblings are scrambling to fulfill the unusual terms of their late grandfather’s will so they can retain ownership of his property and the ranch they’re transforming into a vibrant part of the community. It’s Rhys Hott’s turn, which means he has to take a break from his work as a divorce attorney in the Big Apple to work a successful stint as a wedding planner. Unfortunately among his clients is Eden Becker, a woman whose marriage he helped dissolve several years prior…
Serena Bell’s storytelling is every bit as incredible and compelling as ever, as readers enjoy Rhys and Eden’s fateful road-trip and the fallout thereafter. Their pasts have made them wary of the connection they feel and have taught them to guard their hearts and selves. I love how welcoming the family and friends they have are and how warmly they are enfolded as they begin to let go of the pain their histories have caused. Running Hott is a wonderfully delicious read and I cannot wait for the last in the series.
Those Hott brothers just keep getting hotter and hotter! I so wanted the story to keep on going! There’s a whole lot/so much to love about this book! But seeing swooney Rhys and Eden’s HEA tops the cake! Reading about the Hott brothers totally feels like being wrapped up in your favorite cozy blanket! Can’t recommend this one enough!
Cynical Rhys Hott, the powerful divorce attorney from New York, is the fourth brother who must fulfil the wishes of his grandfather’s will to save the family resort and wedding venue. His task is to act as a wedding planner and oversee the weddings for the month. His first client is Eden, whose first marriage ended in divorce, with Rhys serving as opposing counsel. When her now-fiancé leaves her at the altar, Rhys becomes her getaway driver, leading them on a cross-country road trip filled with tension, humour, and undeniable chemistry. As they navigate this journey, both confront their pasts and the possibility of a future together.
Serena Bell delivered a delightful romantic comedy in this book. The enemies-to-lovers trope is executed with finesse, blending witty banter and heartfelt moments. Watching Rhys’s transformation from a jaded lawyer to a man willing to open his heart was both believable and engaging. Eden’s optimism and resilience provide a perfect balance to Rhys’s cynicism, creating a compelling duo.
The road trip setting is a favourite of mine, adding an adventurous element to the story. It allows for both growth and a deepening connection between Rhys and Eden. The pacing is well-maintained, with the plot unfolding at a satisfying rate, keeping me hooked without rushing through it.
This book is about trusting yourself to find love and discover where you belong. It is a must-read for fans of romantic comedies, offering a blend of humour, heart, and heat. Thank you to the author for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% mine.
“Forever is actually a sting of today’s. That no one can promise forever, but one today after another is a start. That trusting when you have no reason to isn’t stupid- it’s brave. It might hurt again someday, but it might be worth it in the meantime “ Rhys’s and Eden’s story proves that love conquer fears, doubts, past hurts and future problems. Tender and steamy all at once. Great reading.
