I started reading this book in January 2015, I believe. I liked it and felt I got some good information from it, along with completing the exercises. I was feeling connected to the Universe at that time and everything made sense. Then I had a health emergency and stopped reading the book, even though it was in my possession while I was in the hospital and during my recovery. However, I didn't feel moved to continue reading it. I felt as though it was too much for someone in my condition to pay much attention to. I was struggling just to stand up and walk, so I couldn't expend much energy on reading. But now that I'm stronger and healthier, I wanted to finish the book because I want to strengthen my connection again to the Universe. I'm feeling a bit more connected now and the book is full of encouragement and reminders for me about strengthening my connection to the Universe. I will take some time to re-read it from the beginning again and complete the exercises anew.

One of the best books I've read.

This is a beautifully written book that simplifies the route to self, success, and intuition. I recommend this to anyone who is ready for a growth spurt.

I bought this book because I wanted a "layman's introduction" to intuition. I had listened to a number of podcasts featuring Simone and aligned with her goal of explaining intuition in a "fluff free," applied way.

This book is a gem. If you're on the fence like I was, buy it! Simone gives a precise language to define the many facets - biology, foundation, language, and use - of intuition. Her metaphors and images helped me understand what intuition should feel like (hint: it's NOT emotional). A core message of the book is that "universal wisdom" is always available to us but we have to fine-tune our biological antennae to access it. Intuition is not a "woo woo" power held by a few, but rather a powerful tool we are all born with - but we need to work it out daily. Simone makes it clear that there's no magic pill / method to access this first intelligence.

Simone organizes the books well and wastes no words but I did find this book dense - probably because I've relied so long on my conscious, rational mind, so have some built up resistance to a few concepts. I soaked in the book over a few days - and I expect to come back to its explanations and exercises often, as it will be my go to manual on intuition.

Simone Wright, who consults with the LA Police Dept on missing persons and other cases, has taught many law enforcement professionals the how-tos of intuition: this book is an extension of that course. Though it's sequential, specific, and encouraging, there is plenty of talk about energy states and cosmic forces and you have to keep an extremely open mind. (For example, "remembering the future" is a pretty tough concept to get your head around!) But in my hopeful opinion, the rewards of learning to recognize and listen to one's "higher mind" could be dramatic. As Wright says, "In developing the power of our First Intelligence, we reinvent the idea of what is truly efficient. Our deep understanding of the power of surrendering to the wisdom of our higher mind guides us to appreciate where our resources really come from. Our true resources are not external. Our true resources are not material. Our most powerful resources are internal, invisible, and wired deeply into our being..."

This book is a guide to accessing the intuitive intelligence that we all have, and rarely utilize. It is practical and provides step by step instructions as well as metaphysical and philosophical foundations for understanding the concepts presented. The author is a credible and supportive voice and offers a layered understanding of the blocks as well as methods to move forward in the process of cultivating our first intelligence.

I really enjoyed this, mostly for the mindfulness techniques when trying to decipher incoming information that's trying to transform itself into intuition. Sometimes it's gut instinct, a general feeling of unease, or it's going back over a situation to really look at what you've missed.
