Well, if you thought Nick couldn’t top his all-time classic, Streakers, here’s Facility Integrity, his cautionary tale of a overreaching CEO who, in an effort to increase productivity, forces his employees to only take shits during their noon-hour lunch break. Turns out though, there’s a “saboteur” in the ranks. Brilliantly, deadpan funny, Facility Integrity is a hilarious skewering of corporate idiocy. Thank God. Book of the Year!

Nick Maandag has my vote for funniest cartoonist working today!

This 2014 book is just my second book by him. He had The Follies of Richard Wadsworth (2019) published by D+Q so it came on my radar, he has another D+Q volume coming out this year which I'm excited for!

In this short volume the CEO managing a group of office workers decides a way to improve productivity is to limit people's washroom use (specifically #2) to just their lunch hour. No more getting paid for poop+reddit. Enforcing the policy starts first with security guards monitoring stall use and quickly spirals out of control from there.

One of the few comics where I had to put the book down because I was laughing too much.

Funniest thing I have read in a while. Perfect comedic timing, ridiculous(ly amusing) plot twists. Just the gift that keeps giving. Ingenious!
