Attorney Brady Stewart knows he’s in for a wild ride when psychic matchmaker Armani Vasquez tasks him with finding a Purple People Eater.

His life becomes even more complicated when he meets Amy Winn, a woman crazy enough to take on a would-be mugger, and desperate enough to come looking for a mysterious inheritance.

As Brady and Amy attempt to unravel the mystery behind the puzzling legacy, they can’t deny their mutual attraction despite the fact they live in different worlds.

Difficult choices put their budding romance at risk as they juggle Amy’s desire to unlock the secrets of a father she never knew and Brady’s need to tread carefully in order to protect his career.

Can they solve a mystery twenty years in the making? Or will doing so ruin any chance at a future together?

A Match Made In Mystery
Ok I'm going to say this right off the bat, when Armani Vasquez tells Brady to find someone to give him a purple people eater I was like what?? My curiosity and my imagination went wild!! lol now it's your turn to wonder. No spoilers here. ;) This book was a really fun read for me, the perfect blend of suspense and romance. I love how both Brady and Amy have such deep ingrained honor, keeping their word even when it causes chaos in their own life. They mirror each other in all the best ways, but still have enough differences to balance each other out. Amy is Boss!! She is a feisty fighter, she does not take the easy road. I really admired her for that. I love how Brady knew himself and his heart. He is rock solid in his feelings for Amy and what he wants out of life. Diego, Amy's best friend lets just say I can't wait to unwrap that mystery!! This book ends in a cliffhanger.... But a really good one.. I would recommend this book to all my friends and family!
Five stars for sure!!

Wow! JB Lynn's books just keep getting better and better. Even though this is only the second in the Matchmaker Mysteries, her Armani character crossed over from Ms. Lynn's Neurotic Hitwoman series, and I love her no matter where she shows up. I hope someday she finds love her herself while she's matchmaking for other people. I love the goofiness mixed in with the seriousness of this book. I adored the quirky neighbor and the best friend and the secretary. it takes real talent to have so many memorable and awesome secondary characters in one book without overshadowing the main characters, but Ms. Lynn does it. I loved the hero and the heroine, too. And of course, there's the happy ending. Gotta love a happy ending. =o)

Silly govt disclaimer stuff... I am friends with JB Lynn. However, my good reviews here (or anywhere else) don't have anything to do with our friendship. I'm just lucky that after I fell in love with her work, I got a chance to be her friend, too.

I loved this book. It was such a fun story. The characters are people who find each other sort of through Armani the psychic matchmaker. There's Bradley who is a good guy, no girlfriend who has always been lonely in his big family. There's Amy who is a good person with no family and too many menial jobs. Armani makes a few cameo appearances with her cryptic statements and these two people experience love at first sight. There are a couple of mysteries going on such as who is targeting Mildred and who is Amy's father and there clearly must be future books in the series to address this. I loved this book. Such wonderful quirky characters and great protagonists. Armani is actually from the author's wonderful Hitwoman series. It is kind of a spin-off.

This book almost cost me a trip to the mental hospital. There I am minding my own business reading this book in a waiting room and I bust out laughing and all eyes are on me. Armani has done it again. A Match Made in Mystery is everything I was hoping for. I laughed, I cried a little and I even cheered for the characters. This book is definitely worth reading and a great addition to the Matchmaker Series.

Armani is at it again! This time she's trying to match up Brady. Of course, he's sent on his way with a cryptic clue. Then he meets Amy, could this be love at first site, or maybe second? JB Lynn hooks me from the start and I can't put it down until it's finished! I'm ready for the next match!

The second book in the series once again features the unusual physic words of Armani Vasquez. Armani, who we originally met in the Hitwoman series, is a Physic Matchmaker who's unusual messages often mean something important. Often characters overlap between other books in this series and the Hitwoman series, making this series a perfect one to read while waiting for the next Hitwoman adventure.

It all begins with Armani telling Brady Stewart to find a Purple People Eater. (I didn't even know this was a drink!) On about his 5th time asking, he is in a quiet restaurant with his boss and business associates. Shocked when his order is accepted, unsure what it means, he looks at the waitress who brings it to him. Not his type at all. Perhaps Armani doesn't know what she is doing after all.

Later there is a mugging outside of the lawyers offices where Brady works, and the mugger (who is trying to take an old lady's purse) is surprised by a violent attack by a young woman who had been staring at the building. He manages to get away after she has swung her purse full of books at him and broken his nose. As she attends to the victim, others rush out to help and bring them into the dry lobby. Before long Brady recognizes a woman who had been a waitress at the restaurant the night of the Purple People Eater. Her name is Amy Winn, and she has come for help solving her own mystery.

From that point on Ms Lynn treats readers to a fun and rewarding mystery about the woman who was the victim (and the wife of one of the partners)and Brady and Amy. Between them there are so many emotions and mysteries that every page seems to disclose important details.

Again characters overlap from other books. While Armani is a consistent connection, this book also has a family and friend connection that pops up in the other books as well. I like the way I feel like I already know people that our main character knows!

Great for reading when you have finished the Hitwoman series and are waiting for a new release. This book and others in the series are also great when you want mystery, romance, and laughter...three things JB Lynn is great at writing about! Don't miss this one and the whole series!

Yay! That turned out so great and what other than a book or a movie has people falling in love in less than a week?? I admit I like those kind of books and this was one of them. Happy endings!!
I recommend that you should read JB Lynn’s Hitwoman series books before this series just because it is where Armani Vasquez is first introduced and where you can see how she got her start as a matchmaker in the first place. I kind of expected Armani to make more of an appearance in this series, but the short spans are enough to show that she knows her stuff, she’s beautiful, she’s sassy, and she’s quirky.
I’d like to know more about Brady and Amy though and I hope that is in the next book (Catnapped). I’d like to know why Diego is always beat to heck, what happens to Amy when she goes to Ireland, and maybe something showing Roscoe opens his own bakery.
There are only 2 more books in this series, so I guess I’ll see if the characters from each book overlap and if all questions are answered.

I've fallen hard for the Matchmaker Mysteries, moving directly to book 2 from book 1 and I've just bought book 3 because I can't stop reading them. The writing is fast paced, with a few twists for interest, and the characters are engaging - more, I find I'd really like to know more about them because I really like them. Even the characters 'in passing', like Diego from book 2 - I want to know what's going on with him and if that's not answered in book 3, then I REALLY hope there will be a book 4. The matchmaker, herself, doesn't have a big role in any of the books: she's a bit mysterious and definitely fun. I find myself wondering if maybe she and Diego... but there's absolutely nothing to suggest that. You can see how the characters grab the reader and really don't let go. Go, read, enjoy.

Good Story But - Spoiler Alert

But I wanted a little more. I loved the story and characters. There was a good build up to the mysterious letter and what it entailed. And the side issues with Mrs. M made the story fast paced. But at the end I was disappointed that we were told only a little of what was said on the tape and we got no follow up on the trip to meet. The whole story led to that point then just stopped. I am reading book 3 now so I hope it will have a little more on that subject.

Another Armani cutie. Slightly deeper than the first one, where decades old secrets come out to play. We have an old lady in danger, encrypted wills, careers to go poof, shady deals and sneaky mommy's that want "only the best for their son". When sparks fly between a waitress and her accidental lawyer everyone seems to unravel. But we all know it'll work out, because Armani said so... in the vaguest way possible. Less cliché than the 1st Matchmaker psychic book.
Perfect for under a blanket with a hot cocoa (or glass of spirits, I don't judge).

Brady Stewart doesn't know what to think when Armani Vasquez tells him to find a Purple People Eater. What? Yes a Purple People Eater. Color him surprised when the opportunity comes up to ask such a question and someone actually knows what it is. Amy Winn not only knows what a Purple People Eater is she is also a good Samaritan when she saves a lady being mugged while standing in the rain trying to talk herself into going into a law office. Two things, she received a paper that might lead her either to her dad that she's never known and/or a possible inheritance and, the lady she saved is a big deal with the law firm. Said lady asks Brady to take care of her but that's not a problem for him. This as always is a fast moving exciting story. Whenever i pick up a JB Lynn book i know i am going to entertained. I'm going to be drawn into the story in the first chapter. Sometimes the first few sentences. The characters are always interesting and the story intriguing and a little different. I never know where she's going with the story. Sometimes i can't even venture a guess to the ending.I might even laugh a little ... or a lot. You might get the ending to to the main story line but if it's a series like this one she just might just lay the ground work to hook you into the next book too. I can't wait to find out who Armani might be helping find a love connection next!

Great Series!!
This is a great series, I LOVE these books. This book is the second book in the A Matchmaker Mystery, but can be read as a standalone. Brady is an attorney and is celebrating his friend’s wedding, when he meets psychic matchmaker Armani when she tells him that he needs to find a “Purple People Eater” he is confused but when Armani tells him again that he needs to find a “Purple People Eater” he decides to find one. Everywhere that Brady goes he asks for a “Purple People Eater” with no luck. Brady’s life becomes even more complicated when he meets Amy, who took on a mugger. Now Brady and Amy need to work together to find her mysterious inheritance. I enjoyed this book so much that I couldn't put it down until I finished reading it. This book has romance, humor, and mystery. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

I loved everything about this book. Every time I set it down to do other things I found myself thinking about the characters and wondering what was going to happen to them next. JB Lynn has a wonderful way of making the story flow. The characters interaction made me love them all and I wish I could sit down with each of them to chat over lunch. An amazing mystery with a perfect mix of suspense, danger, intrigue, and romance. Each discovery leads to more questions and keeps you turning the page until the very end. Can't wait for the next one.

Great Read!
JB has done it again. A wonderful book with intrigue, romance and passion. I could not put it down! The characters are relatable and interesting. I wanted to read more about Brady and Amy and hope they pop up in future books or maybe even get another book of their own.

A Match Made in Mystery (A Matchmaker Mystery #2) by J.B. Lynn Another short read and fun entry from author, JB Lynn, using a favorite character from the Neurotic Hitwoman series as a catalyst. Psychic Armani Vasquez has discovered a talent for matchmaking, despite her vague clues. This one has twists and turns, two likeable characters, and hopefully more to follow. The full mystery wasn't solved at the end but there was a satisfying HEA for the hero and heroine. A 4.5 for me.

LOVED this book. It has it all - humor, lovable characters, and a great story. I could not put it down and stayed up very late to finish it. JB Lynn's books just keep getting better and better. If you like a cozy/chick lit mystery, you've found a winner in A Match Made in Mystery. I love Armani's character and the way she connects with characters....and now I must find out what is actually in a purple people eater...lol

I read the Mutt and the Matchmaker and Match Made in Mystery back to back. (It is not necessary to read in order.) Armani Vasquez is an unlikely matchmaker but her quirky character really works. These two books are the beginning of a delightful series which you are sure to enjoy! The writing is entertaining and there is just the right amount of mystery and romance to keep you intrigued until the end. I look forward to more additions to this series!
