The comic book arm of the company started in 1939 as Timely Publications, and by the early 1950s had generally become known as Atlas Comics. Marvel's modern incarnation dates from 1961, with the company later that year launching Fantastic Four and other superhero titles created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, and others. Marvel has since become the largest American comic book publisher, surpassing its longtime competitor DC Comics.
On December 31, 2009, The Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Entertainment for $4.24 billion.

If you are a marvel fan these will make a great addition to your shelf.

I thought they would be comic books but they were stories. the stories could have been longer. the art work was lovely though and makes a nice background catch up for any marvel lover transfering from movies to the comics

For what it is it's pretty good.
These are children's books, shortened versions of the backgrounds of Spiderman, Thor, Captain America and the X-Men (Charles Xavier in particular). I really enjoyed the artwork.

November 4, 2023I really enjoyed these books it took me about 25 minutes to read all 4 so a very quick read the art work is beautiful and gives a nice quick insight into the characters origins
