I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.The book “67 Business Productivity Apps to Make Life Easier, Maximize Your TIme and Get Stuff Done” by Mike Fishbein has already commanded a couple of hours of Sunday morning’s time.
The book reads quickly and Fishbein’s tone encourages a feeling of trust, as though he is one of your friends. This is already an excellent bit of demonstrated intelligence when it comes to writing in this style.
The apps mentioned are varied, but well organized within the book. Dragon’s Diction, which Fishbein ensures will allow the computer to read text aloud, continues to hold great allure, although time has not allowed a more intense exploration.
Several of the key apps need time, if you are not already a great web guru. For those of us still learning, the learning curve is a little steep. Fedora for example includes an intimidating list to be clicked on or not for reasons that will take more than a skim to figure out.
And then there are those little charges that soon add up. Many of the apps do require, after an initial free trial, a few of those pesky excess dollars you have lying around. Three apps, four and you’ll find the problem of what to do with all your monthly money overflow solved.
That and the tiny bit of editing that the book still requires to tidy up little bits like verb tense agreement are the only complaints.
Overall this is a handy dandy book, and one you are recommended to purchase, for deepening your knowledge of how to work your life more efficiently.
By the way, this is my first production on Google Docs so I’ll see how handy it is for putting onto Reading Deals site!
