How can I choose between the past that broke me, and the man who put me back together. Does fate ever really give you a choice?
Return To Sender is a touching debut novel by romance author Nicole Bazley that will leave you free falling.
It’s hard to move on from a past you thought you would never survive. To live a life you don’t believe you deserve.
I tried to start fresh. I really did. I agreed to move, thinking that I would be able to leave behind the tragic events that turned my life upside down. The day I lost the boy I loved.
I didn’t expect to actually move on.
I also didn’t expect to find love in the most unconventional of circumstances. With an unlikely person.
Blake.
His kind heart is washing away my internal fire of guilt, and his playful humour is piecing together my broken, shattered heart.
But how do I truly move on when the very past I’ve been running from for years returns? It threatens everything Blake and I have created, forcing me to choose between the past that broke me and the man who pieced me back together.
But does fate ever really give you a choice?
This book is for you if you

Ok, ok, I am going to be completely honest here. Nicole Bazley is a pen name. She is an alter ego created to gain the confidence to publish my first book.
It's not that I don't think my book is worthy. I do. It's just a daunting experience putting it out there. One I've held myself back from for many many years. Ten to be exact!
While the name is fake, I definitely am NOT. Nicole embodies me in so many ways. She is me! She is the creative author who has so many love stories to tell. This name means something to me on a deep level.
A little about me.
I love the beach, my family, being outdoors and staying active. I have always been a book lover and will read almost anything. My favourite authors are Jodie Picoult and Lee Child. I could read the Jack Reacher stories on repeat till the day I died.
I have always loved to write. Poems, songs and little stories, this is my first time actually putting my work out there.
I would say, I write contemporary romance stories that will have you free falling.
I hope you love my stories as much as I love writing them.
Return to Sender by Nicole Bazley is an emotional and captivating debut that completely pulled me in from the first page. The story explores love, loss, and the journey to healing with honesty, depth, and heart.
Nicole’s writing is raw yet tender, making every emotion feel authentic, from heartbreak to hope. The protagonist, Scarlet, is a deeply relatable and layered character. Her struggles and vulnerabilities feel real, and her journey toward self-acceptance and rediscovering happiness is both moving and inspiring. The men in her life bring unique challenges and emotional tension, creating a love story that is complex, engaging, and heartfelt without ever feeling melodramatic.
One of the book’s greatest strengths is how it balances emotional intensity with moments of warmth, humor, and small joys, making the story feel human and lived-in. The pacing is excellent—the slow-burning romance allows the characters to grow, the stakes to build naturally, and the emotional payoff to feel fully earned.
This is the kind of book that lingers in your mind long after you’ve closed it. It’s perfect for readers who love second-chance romance, emotionally rich storytelling, and small-town contemporary settings. Whether you’re drawn to heartfelt romances, stories about healing, or just beautifully written love stories, Return to Sender delivers all of it and more.
Nicole Bazley has crafted a debut that is both poignant and hopeful—a story that reminds you that love has the power to heal even the deepest wounds and that sometimes happiness comes when you least expect it.
Return to Sender by Western Australian author Nicole Bazley is a deeply emotional and beautifully written story of love, loss, and healing. Told in three points of view, Scarlet, Blake, and Vincent, this story captures what it truly means to be broken, to heal, and to find hope again. 💔✨
Scarlet’s life has been torn apart by tragedy. After a traumatic event, she moves to rebuild her life, healing both physically and emotionally. Enter Blake, who she meets at a counselling group. Their connection is instant, two wounded souls bonding through shared pain and understanding. 🕊️
The story weaves between past and present, slowly revealing the truth behind the guilt and heartbreak that haunt these characters. Each chapter peels back another layer, and by the end, you can’t help but feel every ounce of their pain and hope.
Return to Sender is a beautifully told journey about survival, second chances, and the enduring strength of love. Nicole Bazley’s writing is honest, tender, and full of heart, a story that reminds us healing isn’t about forgetting, but finding the courage to begin again.
I loved this book. I honestly wish it was longer, maybe double. It definitely had potential to be longer.
There’s a couple of time jumps that would have been better if they had a lead in to it, instead of just being mentioned. That’s pretty much the only negative.
The intimate scenes were written very tastefully too!
The thing I loved about this book was that I felt Scarlet’s pain and her grief and her tears, and shed tears of my own. It’s very beautifully written, and I really thoroughly enjoyed it.
Return to Sender! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️ I didn’t even read the blurb for this book and I’m not sure what I was expecting but I LOVED this! From start to finish this book had me feeling all of the feelings! The back story was so beautiful and heart breaking all at the same time! The relationship/friendship between Scarlet & Blake was just what everyone needs in their life. Someone who doesn’t push or force you to be who you aren’t and just listens when you’re ready it was heartwarming. Vin, what a beautiful human. He was Scarlets other half and I was so sad for them both when life ruined everything for them. One thing that always makes me want to bash my head against the wall is a miscommunication like YOU COULD HAVE AVOIDED ALL THAT HURT IF YOU JUST TALKED TO EACH OTHER hahaha! All in all Vin took the step to find Scarlet again and I was ready to squeal with excitement! May have wanted to punch him a little when he walked away at Niagara Falls though haha! All in all, this story had me feeling all types of ways and it was a beautiful ending! Also a little snippet of Clark from Love in the After in this one 🙈😍

This book completely broke my heart… and then put it back together again. It’s emotional, raw and honestly just so beautiful. It’s a story of love lost, love found and love returned, and watching these two find their way back to each other after everything they’ve been through hit me right in the feels.
There were moments that genuinely hurt (in the best way), but the healing, growth and love that followed made it so worth it. The ending was perfect - that kind of happy ever after that feels deserved and leaves you smiling like an idiot when you close the book.
If you love an emotional read that gives you all the angst and the payoff, this one delivers.
Scarlet has many secrets. Secrets that haunt her, give her nightmares and have left her broken. She lost the only boy she ever loved. And then she meets Blake. Sweet, kind, caring Blake. He helps stitch and glue her back together and she finds the courage to live her life again.
Everything is as they planned, until the past comes back to haunt her.
This book destroyed me a little. It made me guess, horribly wrong too. It was maddening and sweet and heartbreaking and healing all in one.

This book had me face some of my own traumas and feelings. It will definitely stick with me.
This is emotional, heartfelt, and impossible to put down. Raw, real, and full of second-chance romance, it’ll pull at your heartstrings while reminding you that love can heal even the deepest wounds. I’m not sure which cover I like more but everything about this book is a yes for me! The Naughty Nook
This book stuck its hooks into me and refused to let go. I physically could not put this book down, and needed to know what was going to happen next. Had me on the edge of my seat, even made me emotional a few times. Would 100% recommend this book.
Beautiful story!!! It was bittersweet and for some time I wasn't sure how the author will give everyone the happy ending I so desperately wished for them but she did her magic in a way so every character got what they very much deserved. The story stayed with me for days after I finished.
Return to Sender completely hooked me from the first chapter. Nicole Bazley has this way of writing characters that feel so real—flawed, messy, but incredibly relatable. The emotional depth really caught me off guard in the best way. I laughed, I yelled (a lot), and yes… I might’ve cried a little too.
The pacing is tight, the twists are genuinely surprising, and the relationships are beautifully written. It’s the kind of book that stays with you after you finish the last page.
If you love stories with heart, tension, and characters who feel like real people, Return to Sender is a must-read. I’ll be thinking about this one for a while.
I loved everything about this book. Nicole writes a beautiful story. You are sucked in from page 1 and you need to keep reading until it's finished. My Heart broke and then it was healed. What a roller-coaster. Scar and Vin forever.
