These were perfect stories to read at night before sleep. Positive, uplifting, and not too long. Most of them were only a couple of pages long. I would read one or two per night and that was just enough to send me off to dreamland with good thoughts. If you like reading something positive with a Christian slant, you will love these tales.

This was recommended to me by a friend and I have to admit it is the first time I've dipped into a 'Chicken Soup for the Soul' ... this one is definitely worth the time.

The stories are separated into chapters with headings including 'Messages from Heaven', 'A Gift from an Angel' and 'An Auspicious Visitor'. I found the best way to read the stories is to open the book and see what page you fall on. All the stories are different but what they all do is to inspire hope. 'The Scent of a Mother' was the first one I read in which the author manages to create a crystal clear image of her mother by calling on all the senses, not just smell, until you can feel what she feels ... beautiful, evocative writing. Having lost my mother this especially resonated with me.

The stories the authors tell are short but powerful so I would suggest dipping in when you have some time to yourself to be quiet and reflective. And perhaps just reading a few rather than starting at the beginning and finishing at the end.

I was inspired by many of the stories. I especially loved 'The Scent of a Mother' by Sharlene Walker - so well written and the story was so touching. It brought tears to my eyes and gave me goose bumps at the same time!

This was probably my least favorite of the Chicken Soup books. I thought that all of the stories would be true, but some of them are just not believable, and when you look at the author info, it talks about them being writers of "stories". This makes me think that some are just made-up. I believe in angels, and have my own angel story, so it's not that I am a skeptic. Some of the stories are lovely, some are humorous, and some are shocking.

I really enjoyed this book. I've always believed in Guardian Angels and feel like they have helped me avoid problems in the past even if I didn't specifically know they were there. Good read for this crazy world right now.

This is the first time I read a book of this kind. What got my attention was the title, Touched by an Angel, stories of faith, divine intervention and answered prayers. I like to consider myself as a believer in angels, although it has never happened to me personally. This book gives me hope.

an absolute delight this book was to read. I loved it. I enjoyed reading the different encounters people have had with their guardian angels and it strongly reaffirms my beliefs in guardian angels and the afterlife with loved ones watching over us. I really enjoy the chicken soup for the soul books. my mother got me onto them and I will be forever grateful that she did. this is a very good book to read.

With the weather changing and a chill in the air, who couldn’t use a little chicken soup; both literally and figuratively! Winter is the holiday season where spirits are bright but it can also be a sad, hard time for many. It’s both joyous but sad. For some it’s the first holiday without a loved one and for others, loneliness sinks in even deeper and darker than usual.

I have dealt with depression as an adult and I know the warning signs. Sometimes it’s good to just take time for yourself and read something uplifting like Chicken Soup for the Soul. I know it always lifts my spirits and gives me a renewed perspective on life. Touched an an Angel was even more so with it’s subject matter. Whether or not you believe in angels, you will be moved by these stories! It’s hard not to see God’s hand in it and to believe.

You will read about miracles, divine interventions and even healing that is unexplained medically. I always have a favorite story (or ten) and in this one I liked Undercover Angels because I had a similar experience. I had a car accident where I ran into a full sized truck in my car head on at 65 mph and walked away. There’s no earthly reason I should have. It happened almost ten years ago and I had forgotten about it until reading this. I like that it reminds me of my own life; not to take it for granted, how lucky and blessed I am and that I have seen the hand of angels in my life.

For a season associated with hope and new beginnings, Chicken Soup for the Soul Touched by an Angel is the perfect read this holiday season. I love to curl up with a blanket, coffee and a little chicken soup for the soul!

Chicken Soup for the Soul has always been a great read no matter what subject they're talking about. I love how there are many different stories that are shared to inspire you. When reading Touched by an Angel, not only does this book make you have faith in the unseen, but it also inspires you and gives you hope. I loved reading the many different stories that were shared in this book because it talked about dealing with grief and knowing that we will heal when we are hurting. These stories not only got me teary eyed, but had me thinking of the loved ones that I have lost. It's always been faith to believe they are in a better place, but looking over us that helps me and I loved reading stories knowing that everyone goes through their own way of both grieving and healing.

An absolutely great read for anyone, even moms with babies. I loved while my two month old was taking a nap, I had time to have a tea and enjoy a story before she woke up. Definitely a book you can take with you on the go.

Touched by an Angel is a book about supernatural events that happened in peoples' lives. It was interesting to read, as I have not studied angels. I question the accuracy and validity of some the stories as they have been told here, and yet some of they are unexplainable unless you bring God and His mighty Hand into the equasion.
