Roxanne Howell's life in Sweetwater is about to change in ways she can't imagine.
An E.R. nurse to this quaint little corner of paradise tucked away in East Texas, Roxanne knows just about everything and everyone in Sweetwater, a town without equal in the South. But her knowledge of everyone in town has left her with a profoundly boring love life. Aching for a spark to kindle a fire deep inside, Roxanne's world is about to be turned upside down when a mysterious stranger makes his way into town.

Julian Greer is a stranger with no business in Sweetwater.
At least, that's what it seems like when Julian Greer shows up in the E.R. with wounds all over him and no good explanation for any of them. Determined to get to the bottom of this, Roxanne stays by his side as he recovers. But there's something different about Julian and the extent of his injuries, something wild. And as Roxanne helps him towards recovery, she'll discover that the wildness in Julian is more than what meets the eye--it's a wildness that she can't quite put her finger on.

A wildness that she can't quite get enough of.

Something foul and terrible is about to fall upon the innocent town of Sweetwater
When an unforseen series of events leaves Roxanne with more questions than answers, when her curiosity for the handsome stranger transforms into a feral passionate desire, when stories meant to frighten children start bleeding into the real world, Roxanne will find herself caught in the midst of a struggle that she has no hopes of understanding, no hopes of winning--a struggle where her only chance of getting to the bottom of it all is to put her trust in the handsome and mysterious Julian Greer.

Interesting but....

Julian Greer is a werewolf, his pack has just been decimated by another and he's running for his life, his legacy, because if he doesn't survive his entire line would be wiped out. He's badly injured and being hunted by the pack but he stumbles into a town called Sweetwater where he's taken to the E.R. and treated by a nurse called Roxanne, and the strange thing is they both feel a pull to each other which neither of them understands, Roxie has no idea what's going on and Julian is confused because Roxie is completely human so he shouldn't be feeling anything like this.
Izzy works with Roxie and they're best friends but Izzy is a curandera or witch and she's about to be dragged into the middle of the hell that's descending on Sweetwater.
Matt, where does Matt fit into all this, he's been friends with Roxie forever but he wants more, he wants forever with her but although he's everything she should want there's no spark, and she wants spark.
This book was interesting, at times I was completely hooked and couldn't put it down, yet I also felt it could be more, it's difficult to explain, it's 211 pages long and yes we get introduced to the characters, we get the story and a good idea what's going on, we get enough to intrigue us and entice us continue on but when I'd finished it just didn't feel like I'd read 211 pages of story, there's a lot of sex which isn't generally a bad thing but I somehow felt a bit cheated, I know it was free and I'm explaining this badly but it wasn't enough for me I'm not sure I'm going to continue on, I don't think I liked the characters enough and while I'd like to ultimately know what happens I don't think I'm invested enough to buy the next book.

NO NO NO NO NO...This "book" should not have been made available in the first place. Since it was, it should be in an adults-only access site. Nothing in the title warns the reader of it's x-rating. I would have suggested skipping all of the sex scenes and the rest of the story would take 5 minutes to finish; however, there is no story. The author apparently failed English; the misuse of some words and the wrong use of pronouns is ridiculous. I seriously hope this is NOT one of the few Kindle books I actually purchased. I didn't actually finish this; I skipped to the last chapter praying it got better and might make me want to read the whole thing. It didn't happen. I won't be counting this towards my reading goal.

Interesting! I want to use this word first to describe this book/ series. I'm not sure I have really ever read a werewolf story written like this one is. In essence, there are four main characters, Julian, Matt, Roxie and Izzy. We are just learning their back stories through this first book. There were a couple of places within this book that the story becomes a little disjointed, but then gets back on track. I am looking forward to reading book 2.

A little confusing, but, I really did like this. Nothing was given as to why he was hunted. I'm curious to see what his and Roxanne's connection are. Is she part wolf? I will keep reading.

It's ok

I would prefer more story. Interesting scenes just no background. Characters are a little dry but doable. I would read it again.

Night fall - Wow

Intriguing story and love the multiple characters and how they intertwine with the story.

This is going to be a great series. On to the next story.
