This is another frightening collection of stories from park rangers about little known events in the national parks. These are the stories they aren't officially allowed to speak of. More people go missing in national parks than you think. David Paulides brought this to light in his extensive Missing 411. I look forward to more stories from rangers who have come forward to share their frightening experiences. I won't be hiking or camping in in the woods.

This was a very difficult book to finish. These accounts are not real. The details cannot be verified. I searched cases with similar details and they do not exist. Some of the stories mention huge episodes of an uptick in missing person cases within unnamed parks, but there are no mentions of this in any news source. Some of the cases mentioned within the book would make international news if they were true.

eerily chilling

Not as detailed as the 411 books by David Paulidas, but it is enough to make you think twice before visiting the great outdoors. My daughter said her and her friend were going to hike an easy portion of the Appalachian trail. I put up such a fuss about them not being experienced enough that they quickly gave up the idea. I was relieved.

More fascinating stories!

This book was super interesting! Each book I read by this author gets more and more strange, but there are so many people reporting similar events, it makes you wonder.
