“I’ll take everything you want to give me, love.” His voice was dark. “I’d gladly take your heart.” – Calix McKnight
Only four days after Nova was captured by Calix McKnight, she lost her heart to his darkness and her soul to the dominance residing within the man. Only four days, and everything she’d known had changed.
He owned her body.
He possessed her heart.
He captured her soul.
With no hope of running from him, Nova does the only thing she can do. She accepts him. She accepts his darkness and cherishes his edges. After their wedding only two weeks into her capture, Nova is taken across the world to honeymoon with Calix in lavish romance that tricks her mind and heart into falling deeper than the blue abyss of the ocean, in love, with a monster.
But it’s not all bliss and romance, because Calix really is a monster, and he’s more than determined to keep Nova as his own – forever. Even the revenge that powered his every action has withered in comparison to the need Calix feels to possess Nova to completion. However, there are some actions that even true love cannot forgive.
In the quest to bind her irrevocably to him, will Calix overstep his boundaries and push Nova away from him forever?
***This novel does end in a cliffhanger. There is dark subject matter intended only for those who are 18 years or older!***
Born and raised in Alberta, Canada, Alannah Carbonneau is only a short drive away from the Rocky Mountains that have a staring place in so many of her novels. With seventeen novels and counting currently available on Amazon, Alannah is not only a full-time author, but a full-time mom of two beautiful boys, and wife to an amazing man who always has her back. She lives in a rambling ranch house that needs way too many renos and has one too many cats, but she is happy and in love.
With a solid circle of friends and family, and a very manly, supportive husband who does his best to make sure his family is taken care of, Alannah’s novels feature manly men (sometimes they can be a LOT manly) and friend/family relationships weaved into the stories, because life is about a whole mess of people, and although this is fiction, the best fiction is sprinkled with sweet (and sometimes not so sweet) bits of reality.
Because she loves romance, Alannah writes Contemporary and New Adult Romance. Soon to be released is the Creekwood Valley Series that has ties to the reader beloved Donnelley Brother Series, where light suspense and romance weave to create titillating stories that not only steal your heart but keep you on the edge of your seat. She is the author of the highly rated Teach Me Series, an emotional read about love, life and lessons learned. Our Dark Design is a standalone erotic romance peppered with enough suspense to keep you turning the pages, and The Choice is an entirely unconventional standalone romance about three.
She is currently working on a Cross World Fantasy Romance Series for Adults she can’t wait to share with you, because this will feature hot men who are a little bit dominant and a lot protective who are head over heels in love with stubborn, magnificent women.
When Alannah isn’t writing or spending time with her three men, she can be found in her garden, or with a paint brush in hand. But no matter where she is or what she’s doing, you can bet that she’s thinking of a love story she can share with you.
I was so ready for the second book after the first left me on such a cliffhanger. I was lucky I never had to wait. ♥
Bleeding hearts carries on from where Captured miracle leaves off....
How can Nova ever change the way she starts feeling for Calix. When theres no hope of escaping his grip, so she does the one thing she knows to do and give in to the feelings and gives her all in this twisted romance because either way she WILL BE Calix wife.
I love how both characters evolve in this book, Calix seems to care more, you can see his feelings for Nova growing, it makes you wonder was he really just a heartless monster or was his heart frozen after what happened to his parents unable to show love until someone came and crashed through his barriers.
Nova was a timid creature in the first book, but in this book she seems alot more determined and stronger. I guess we can thank Calix for this change in her temperament, I bet the odds that if he hadn't taken her she would still be the same shy, timid girl for years to come.
Calix does things in this book that will make you say 'Awe thats so sweet' and then in the next breath you will be like 'oh no he didn’t.'
Some things you just can't forgive, even when you love said person.
This book leaves you on a massive cliffy again..... when I got to the end I was like no way not again, I am going to crave the next book till I have it in my hands. I need more Calix, like yesterday.
I will tell you by the ending of this book you will be routing for Calix. My heart ached for him and Nova by the end of the book by all the developments that came through each and every page.
Not the idealistic relationship or the perfect fairytale romance. This isn't a relationship that was approached consciously, where both participants behave in a manner accordant with each others values. A relationship based on kindness and compassion and is mutually beneficial and satisfying. Yet in the ending of this book you can forgive the way the relationship between the 2 characters started off, because all of these values are mutually shown.
I dont want to give away spoilers, I believe everyone should experience this explosive story for themselves.
I know the cliffhangers put some people off but seriously, I promise you the next book is worth every second waiting.
I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn't for those last couple of pages. The heroine is a complete doormat. She didnt want to get pregnent but the H tricks her into it and after she told him she loved him I might add. As soon as she finds out she tells him she could never forgive him and them immediately starts making excuses for him, that because he lost his parents he doesn't know how not to do things wrong. Okay so he lost his parents but he had a loving grandma and it wasnt like he was poor so he didnt have that bad of a life. I wished the h had more of a backbone and would stand up to the H rather than lettting him walk all over her.
I like this series bc the H is amazingly OTT CAVEMAN!! Just imagine if Jesse Ward decided to just kidnap the woman he wanted. That is Calix, the H of this book. I was a little disappointed bc nothing really happened in this story until the very end. It was really slow. I feel like the author could have just combined this book with the next one. Can't wait to see how this series ends.

My thoughts: This series was amazing! Calix and Nova had such perfect chemistry together, I loved both characters.
Also, I loved Ms. Carbonneau's voice; she says she pours a lot of herself into the characters of her books and they seem so down to earth and real to me. The realistic details and heartfelt emotions conveyed throughout the story really increased my enjoyment of this series. Superbly done, Ms. Carbonneau!
Overall Rating: 5 Do You Recommend This Book: Yes Will I ReRead: Yes Will I Read More Books By This Author: Yes
So i gave the Book 1, Captured Miracle a 4 star, reason being I knew Alannah was about smash that 4 star out of the bag, and smash it she did. Captured Miracle left me hanging, oh did it not it was a definite cliff hanger.... This book no different, another cliff hanger I cant wait for book 3.
There was something about Calix in Captured Miracle, I had a connection to him but I couldn't quite make out if it was a good connection or not, and the start of the book had me feeling the same, did I like Him, Im not sure. This book brought all those conflicting feelings to the surface again, BUT..... 15% way in did he change my ind. I had a gut feeling all the way Nova was playing a role, being captured hating him but then falling for her captor i was sure Alannah was about to deliver a shocker..
But the shocker was not what I was expecting, Alannah's writing astounds me, every novel she releases I know is going to be amazing. and this particular series has shocked me to no end, she has excelled herself in her writing and I can tell each book she is growing into an amazing writer,
Omg I was dying for the release of this second book in the Captured Miracle series and wow wow wow it didnt disappoint one bit!
The story continues on from the first book and it had the same mystery and intrigue that the first book conjured up in my head.
The characters evolved and grew throughout this book. The male lead Calix may have infuriated me in the first part of the story but by the end of this book he had me feeling a whole other set of emotions and I totally saw him in a new light.
As soon as I picked this second book up I didnt have to try to get back into the world the first book had created I was just instantly dragged back in like Id never left.
The more I read from this author the more Im certain she has a huge future in the writing world - amazing! Ms Carbonneau can definitely make words speak with her novels.
The only thing I have to say is PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont make me wait too long for book 3 !! :) x
OMG!!! This book was brilliant!! It carried on from the cliffy of the first book and just got better and better! We saw a different side to Calix in this one, a more gentle and loving side which was so nice to see because i really wasn't sure if i could like him or not...lol Nova developed in this book in my opinion...she became stronger, more able to stand up to Calix and not as timid as she was in the beginning. She was completely herself with him which definitely brings out his better side. Towards the end i guessed a little what would happen but then BAM! Alannah put in another twist which i did not see coming at all!!! A big twist which totally changed my opinion of Calix but left on a big cliffhanger!! I need the third book now!! lol Really recommend this series...has been a brilliant read so far and can't wait to see what happens in the final book!!
Oh man, I want to see inside of C. head.. it would be awesome to see what's happening there.. what a book! i'm absolutely fascinated and that ending.. my my, can't wait to devour the final part :) Awesome job Miss Alannah, awesome job!

A mind-blowing phenomenal sequel to Captured Miracle
This story immediate takes off where Captured Miracle ended. We see how a powerful revelation has the ability to change everything. We get to see Calix's motivation behind his questionable decision making. There is more to him than meets the eye.
Nova is trying to wrap her mind around the events that have led to her present situation. Can her heart truly love a person who has changed her destiny? Can she come to an understanding with her own feelings?
Man-oh-man. I read this book in three hours flat. No joke. I couldn't put it down! The author's writing is remarkable. The attention to detail from the character's quirks to the description of the landscape are a true testament of the author's storytelling abilities.
I loved this book more than its predecessor. I enjoyed how walls came crashing down and secrets were revealed. I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt, this is Ms. Carbonneau's writing achievement, the crown jewel in her long list of published novels.
I could not believe the ending, setting the precedent for the next installment in this series, for which I will count the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until its release.
This book has risen to be one of my top ten favorite reads of all time. Five dark stars. Brava.

This book was very annoying. Nova, the protagonist, cried through most of the book. Every other scene had Nova missing her family, being intimate with Calix, then crying again because she "loved" him, and feeling guilty and crying again. Calix was hot one moment, cold in next moment. He kept repeating that he owns her and labelling his behaviour/actions done out of his "love" for her. To him his "love" is justified because he stalked her for 2 years while he planned on his revenge from her father. He is said to be really good looking and thus Nova forgives him for everything. There was no character growth, the story crawled at terribly slow rate. The story for the most part was just between Nova and Calix. The writing was alright. The author attempted to write a dark romance, but it was neither. At the end, I don't know who annoyed me most.
I was hoping the pace of the story would pick up with this book, but it never did. I needed a little more action. There was a lot of good internal conflict, but external conflict was lacking. The romance progression was also pretty well done. Nova and Calix's relationship actually becomes pretty normal and they are both genuinely happy until Calix's secrets are revealed and then all hell breaks loose. The series is OK so far but could be better and the pace needs a little more "umph".
Not a fan of these books. None of the characters had any depth. They fell flat, their confrontations juvenile and nothing was a surprise. I could see where the author was going from stage one and nothing surprised me. All of the books were predictable.
I don't get the characters. Calix and Nova. Their story is not interesting to me. I don't blame her for loving him but their love story is just too simple and no thrilling point to captivate reader like me.
I just finished book 1 in this series and can't find book 2or 3 for kindle or paperback on Amazon, BN or just a general search. Any help in locating is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Calix and Nova have returned from their honeymoon and the battle has just begun. Calix wants revenge on Nova's father for the part he played in his parents' death, so he took Nova to hurt him and draw him out so Calix might have the chance to finally kill him.
