Theft of Decks #3

Theft of Decks: Book Three

Rate this book
Survival was just the beginning. Time to get FURIOUS.

Chase and his crew of outlaw card-wielders had their future all figured the Earth's Ward stronghold would keep them safe and sound in well-earned comfort, the latent power in their decks enough to ensure their safety from any stray attacks.

But when an army of religious zealots marks your cards—and your heads—for 'cleansing,' even friends in high places aren’t enough to keep your backs free.

Their last shot at survival lies in the wild Furyborn lands, where their only hope is to convince a tribe of bloodthirsty isolationists—famous for turning outsiders into fertilizer—to part with their most sacred a legendary Fury deck.

Safe? Nope. Easy? Don't bet on it. Fun? Well, one out of three ain’t bad…

This series gets better with every book

This is one of my favorite series to read right now.

I'm a big fan of well crafted stories, where there are a group of main characters, as opposed to just a single one. It adds some great dynamics and when done right (like this) really boost up the enjoyment factor.

I also love that with this cast of characters, it feels like we are always just around the corner of a heist.

I don't want to give anything away, but if you want something just plain fun to read, this is a great option for that.

Ohhhh myyy! You're gonna need to grab this penultimate book to see what I mean. Thank you Lars Machműller for this amazing read! In the book our intrepid team can actually take a half step back from all the running and fighting when they're able to pass from the Lightborn territory into the Furryborn lands. And by team I mean family! Because Chase, Kith, Sera, Liam, and Cilia are truly family not by blood but by choice, their moto bein, Good alone... Better together! In the Furryborn land they're accepted into a village where they can learn about the Furryborn what their creed is, what makes 'em tick... and then there's the challenges, remember I only said a half step back, because there's still monsters to fight and the need to prove to the villagers that they understand the creed!!! Even a heist and wow since they're thieves it's a job made to order, and something they hafta do inorder to receive the Furryborn deck!
And best of all two deck-building litRPG's dropped on Amazon and even better I found a new one on Royal Road website! That's three deck-building litRPG's in a single week! And if you can't tell this is one of my top favorite sub-genres.
So yeah, don't miss out, go grab these great litRPG's!!!

Deck Great

This Lars series is brilliant as we move around the various lands following Chase and his friends building their power and abilities whilst trying to change the political & power makeup of the world whilst on the run. World building which Lars has shown he is very good at is a must and I love how the different cultural aspects are tackled whilst giving us action and intrigue. Not sure how many books this series will run to but hopefully we have quite a few more yet as this is one I can get my teeth into lol

Fantastic third book - Great deck building series

If you love card and deck building stories and have not yet read this series. Then stop reading and pick up book one pronto.
Very creative cards and decks and the story follows a whole party target than one or two MCs. The group dynamics are fun and the roles orient themselves somewhat towards the classical DnD plus all the fun that cards bring to the game.
There will be one more book too conclude the series, do if you don't like waiting for the 15 book and counting series to finish pick this one up. You won't regret it.

Very good read

I enjoyed reading this book very much and I recommend this book to anyone who likes LitRPG and progression types of books with lots of action and a involved magic system.

Fun book

Very much enjoyed the group dynamics. Interesting magic deck system. Battles are well written and seem plausible. The editing is very good. Hope to read the next book.

I tend to like the magic system in this series, but most of the lead characters are pretty obnoxious. Supposedly all adults, but they act like kids. Mostly, I just want the story about Chase & Sera, and the others are neither here nor there.
