Some fantastic comics in this one!

Gilbert Shelton
-pretty funny. Still not a big fan of his, but I'll read on!

Robert Williams
-Shows here why he went on to do fine art. Some of these pages are incredible.

Robert Crumb
-proves to be one of the best pure drawers in comics.

S. Clay Wilson
-takes Kurtzman's "chicken fat" to the next level. Each panel is dense and detailed and full of grime, vile, and vomit.

Rick Griffin
-Contributes a story called Omo Bob Rides South. Stunning B+W artwork.

Spain Rodriquez
-I could see Spain having an influence on Julie Doucet. He likes to spot blacks, it's dark! His work seems similar to S. Clay Wilson.

Victor Moscoso
-Usually he's been doing abstract comics in Zap. Here he does a homage of sorts to Little Nemo, Bugs Bunny, and other comic characters.

Zap Comix #6, 1973

I never realized just how long of a gap there was between issues #5 and #6 of Zap Comix. But two and a half years after the release of issue #5, the Zap Collective don't miss a beat and create another set of great comics. There's more great work from Gilbert Shelton, R. Crumb and S. Clay Wilson here, but my two favorites here are the biker story by Spain Rodriguez and the Little Nemo/Disney/Warner Bros animation homage story by Victor Moscoso that lampoons religion in a highly creative way.
