A confrontation is brewing...frustrated and heartbroken, Zoey turns to Declan, the one man charged with hunting her down – and the only person she knows who can help her.
Determined to do what’s right regardless of the cost, Zoey strikes out on her own as leader of Team Rogue, a vigilante group of beautifully lethal women dedicated to protecting the innocent. Her challenges soon become overwhelming as she is wanted dead or alive by two opposing supernatural societies. Making matters worse, she is plagued by blackouts that may compromise her missions.
Politically adept, Declan knows how to walk the fine line between helping the woman he loves and remaining loyal to his family. What the powerful Enforcer Chief doesn’t know is how to keep Zoey safe from their common enemy.
Time is running out for Zoey and her team. If her enemies don’t find her, her inability to control her actions will land her in hot water, if not dead. Aware of the dangers, she proposes a tempting deal to Declan -- spend every night in his bed, as he asked her long ago -- if, he and his powerful family align with Team Rogue in the coming confrontation between their societies.

Wow! This Book is much much better than the first. Zoey and R Team Members were once again KICKASS!!! Even Declan took some combat showoff!! Nice.
Spoilers
Spoilerssss!!
2 months has passed since the incident that torn the soulmates from one another. Zoey and the former R team was now Team Rogue which Kick even more Cambion Ass!!! In this book, Zoey had grew out of her old wish to live "Humanly normal". She accepted that her world was and would always be with the Succubus-Incubus society. But in this book she faced new problem, new conflict. Now that she was independently leading the hunting Team, she come to learn the difficulty of a leader, especially when other Halfling began to come to her as their new leader. the secret of the Halflings who "graduated" had been revealed and it was horrendous. Halflings were apparently "taken cared off" when they past the 22-year-old age margin when they were out of control. They escaped and found help in Zoey Team. And Zoey would never leave her brethren. But when the number hit fifty, with the Team in shortage of fund and all kinds of necessary equipment, Zoey was in the hard position as their leader. Did Declan go through this as a leader? Watching his people die? She’d never considered it before, just like she never wanted to think of how he felt after the incident that drove her away.
Because all she used to was hunting Cambions or breaking the rule and hunt Cambions in unauthorized missions, she had no idea that leadership was such a painful and difficult thing. Despite still being heart broken by Declan's supposedly betrayal, she began to understand his decisions and responsibility more. How he could make such difficult choices especially when there were sacrifice... How could he manage to keep his rage as he befriended enemies... How could he remain calm and collected about his betrayal while Zoey could not. She learnt that sometimes one had to look at the bigger picture to solve the problem at its root. In the past she and Vikki would use the numbers of Cambions they took down as a measure for success. But she could not do the same to the numbers of Halfling she could not saved. “I was so fixated on Cambions, I didn’t see this coming,” she whispered. “The idea she would hurt loyal Halflings never once crossed my mind.” He squeezed her hand and stood with her in silence. Zoey grappled with the reality of the mess she was in, of how depraved her real enemy was. Olivia made the Cambions look like domesticated house pets instead of the monsters they were.
Declan had once proposed to fund her. the Team and Zoey wondered if he would still care for her... if he truly had feeling for her after all. But Zoey was not a weak person or a damsel in distress. Even with her constant physical blackouts that had increased in frequency, she would never give up her Team for the promise of Declan's protection. Fortunately, she stumbled upon Aiden, one of Declan's older brother during one of her blackout. She unconsciously injured him quite badly. In the end, she used Aiden as a ransom to get more fund. Although she had said that Aiden would go to the highest bidder, there was no way that she would let Declan's brother in the hand of the Succubus, in Olivia's. She traded him with Declan and was even more surprised when he simply handed her his co-account to use freely. If she let herself fall into his arms and world, he’d never let anything touch her and would protect her against everything and everyone. But I have a greater purpose. One that didn’t involve hiding behind a powerful incubus. Equally devoted to her and his job, he’d thus far managed to hang onto his life while discreetly supporting her. She didn’t want to know what he would choose, if forced to make a public decision between his soul-mate and his society.
Zoey continued to lead her Team but now the threats were not just Cambions but anyone else but them. Olivia, the Succubatti, the Incubustii, the soulmates of the halflings and the cambiom all wanted a piece of her. It made matters worse when Olivia was still in someway able to control her during blackout, probably making her killing Heidi and kidnapped Ethan, Declan's father. Does doing bad thing unconsciously means she was still innocent?
When Zoey finally found out the truth of Declan betrayal, she was hurt not only for what he did was real but also because of the unfairness of it all. But could she still blamed him for what he did when his mind was not in control?
This book was all about trust and love and it was great. There were definitely more story going on that I didn't review. there were twist in plot everywhere. but what I love the most besides the awesome story was how Declan and Zoey saw in each other. and when Zoey finally saw future in her life. Zoey thought with her heart and overreacted to most challenges, but she was calculating enough to know when and where she needed help.
How many times had she dreamt of her own family and being normal? She’d tried to build a relationship with a human because of her desire to live apart from the Sucubatti world. She’d definitely never be like Olivia, who grew her children in a lab and pawned them off on multiple foster parents until they were old enough to be worthy of her attention. No, Zoey would teach her daughters to fight and stand up for what was right, to ignore the stupid rules that made Halflings feel unwanted and like second class citizens.
Zoey had grown so much in this book... and even Declan too. Hopefully we would have a next book too.
My Declan is back and I'm so excited I've missed my man, "his hand remained on her forearm, and he rested his other on her hip without moving out of her way. "Don't fight me tonight," he said huskily, his breath stirring the hair on the back of her neck. "Let me fix this." He's trying to redeem himself and I think for a man whose as strong and powerful as he is, is really hot and noble, "an incubus eff. An enforcer deals with facts and truth," he began in the same raw whisper. "Zoey, I don't know what to do but I can't lose you." Sometimes Declan just wants his girl, "give Grant his marching orders and come home with me." It was more of a command this time, whispered in his husky voice, his hazel eyes piercing." His idea generally always lead to the bedroom, "you come home with me, and we eff until one of us passes out." The ending was good and it leaves room for more if Lizzy decides that Declan needs another book.
I know J shouldn’t have had high expectations , especially after the first book, but I was really hoping that the series would get better. Sadly, it didn’t, but I don’t really have anything negative to say about it- it was me, not the book.
Zoey Avenger picks up 2 months after Zoey Rogue. Zoey feels betrayed by Declan and wants nothing to do with him. Team Rogue is still determined to rid the world of as many Cambions as possible but Zoey’s blackout episodes have increased and there are no leads on how to slow or stop them. Team Rogue has increased from the 5 original members to over 50 and they have little money, food, medical and weapon supplies and running from location to location is exhausting and costly. However, Zoey is determined to keep her crew safe and the opportunity to get her hands on the money needed comes in the form of an Incubus Enforcer named Aiden. Declan is determined to give Zoey her space in fear of pushing her away even more but he always has someone watching out for her and his brother is now in Zoey’s hands. Zoey would never intentionally hurt any of Declan brothers but that doesn’t mean she can’t use him to get what she needs. Olivia, chief of IAB and mom to the original 5 girls want Zoey, Ethan goes missing and everything points to Zoey. In order to get the answer Zoey need she’s willing to turn herself in to Olivia but time is running out and not only does Zoey have about 3 weeks left she also has a bounty on head. She needs to find out what’s causing the blackouts and Chrissy is trying her hardest to find an answer. A man in a mask helps her out of sticky situations and she is determined to find out who he is and how she does it will have you laughing out loud. A war is raging and after seeing all of the halflings Olivia killed, finding out what Olivia did to Sienna, Ethan’s wife; Zoey’s main priority becomes killing Olivia but she needs Declan’s help. Declan is in a position where he can support Zoey but he also has to make sure he does nothing to jeopardize his position. The plan is set in place and no matter Zoey’s state; physically or mentally, she is determined to take Olivia out once and for all. I enjoyed this book as much as I did Zoey Rogue and I love the girls more than ever. Their back and forth banter will make you laugh and their love for each other shows more than ever. I also enjoyed Aiden and Grant a lot, they will give you a few laughs. There was definitely a happy surprise in this book and I would love to have more of Zoey and Declan, Ginny and Tommy or even Vikki and Liam in the future. If you haven’t read this series I highly suggest you pick it up and if you read Zoey Rogue this is a must read. You won’t’ be disappointed.
I've been waiting to read this book and it did not disappoint. What can I say without giving too much away? Zoey is amazing! Strong as ever, trying to figure out how to handle being in charge of Team Rouge. I enjoyed reading about Zoey's thought process, she has to figure out all the minutia of being in charge of her own team, all the while dealing with blackouts, being set-up and she is trying really hard to be a great leader for her team and make the right choices. Her strength of having a great heart and trying to do what is right guides her choices and actions.
She's still pissed at Declan (rightly so) and it takes Declan's none wavering support to slowly chip away at the anger over what Declan did, especially since he leaves her without an explanation for his actions for so long.
I love Zoey's friendship with Vicki and Chrissy plus all of Declan's brothers are hilarious. Olivia pushes her agenda and the show down I've been waiting for finally goes down.
Still trying not to give to much away, the only thing I wish is for there to be a epilogue. I love Zoey and I would love a little glimpse into her future, you know just a small window into her future life.
Love Zoey, Love Team Rouge, LOVE Declan and this series.
I hate reviews that just tell you what happened in the book. What kinda review is that.. if I wanted to know what happened in the entire book I'll read it. Now that being said...... I loved this book.... I seriously could not put it down. I started with Rogue 2 days ago and thank god I have Avenger to read afterwards or I would have gone nuts waiting to find out what happen. Zoey is everything you want in a character, she's bad ass, kills the bad guys like there's no tomorrow, but still cares for and looks out for all her friends. She goes through hell and high water to over come the obstacles put before her to achieve her ultimate goal. A place safe for her and her Halfling friends. The flip side of this is Declan. Hot totty with abs to spare. The man caught between his political world and his never ending love for his little Zoey. He has to decide what is more important in his life and find ways to make it happen, all while not upsetting the balance and causing an all out war. Once you start reading this series you will not be able to put it down.
Another great continuation to the Incubatti series. Zoey and Team Rogue are still running away from the destiny everyone tells them they have, and that they innately feel to be right. Not because they aren't attracted to the powerful Incubus, but because they want freedom to pursue what they love, which is riding the world of Cambions and in doing, protecting humankind. As they are pursued from all sides, they must figure out how to stay alive, deal with every arising challenge, and learn to trust those who - in the past - have wanted to restrict their freedom.
Zoey, as the leader, struggles with the challenges of leading a team and keeping them safe. While Declan does all he can to show her he loves her and supports her, yet wants her at his side, Zoey must learn to forgive him for the past.
Ok after the long and agonizing wait Zoey Avenger is here and I freaking loved it. You get so many answers, so much action, sex magic, and awesome Zoey moments!!! I don't want to say anything without giving anything away, but I have to say I love Declan even more, I love Team Rogue so much more (but how could I not), and you gotta love Ethan, he really helps give us a look on the inside of his family which is great to finally get some answers as well. Also Zoey, well this girly has so much going on it takes you in a couple circles, but it's all worth it. I don't want to say anymore without giving anything away except that it's amazing!! If you haven't read book one, Zoey Rogue, pick it up now!! Though I do hope there is a book three!!!!!!!!
I was anxiously waiting for this book to be released, and I was not disappointed at all! As Zoey and Declan worked to figure out what they needed to do with the world they lived in and all the changes that they set in motion in book 1, it was no surprise there were lots of challenges. I was thrilled with the karma that bit hard on some of the characters I really hated! There were moments that made me laugh, shake my head, and drop my jaw open in surprise. If Lizzy ever decided to add more to this story or spin off stories of other characters, I'd read them in a heartbeat!
Omg what a book Epic it had it all Romance, betrayal, sadness, anger, laughter and lots of action I love Zoey so much she is a bad ass Heroine and her and Team Rogue rock my world all of her sisters plus the amazing Chrissy are the best sisters tearing up the bad guys and man was Olivia a sick and twisted psycho and then we have Declan my god I love that stubborn alpha male he is zoey's match in every way and the way they come together hot hot hot we waited a long time for book 2 but Lizzy does not disappoint there was a huge twist that had my jaw on the floor in the best way lol you going to have to read it to find out and I'm praying there's a 3rd book in this series 5 action packed stars!!!
This took me so much longer to read then I wanted only because I had to work. Love Declan and Zoey. This story was even better. I loved the fighting and everything Declan did for Zoey. Pissed me off that he would not tell her what happened. Would be interesting to see a prequel about Declans mom though that will probably piss me off. Really hate Olivia she is crazy. She will do anything to get what she wants even if that means killing a bunch of people all she saw was progress nothing emotional was connected. I hope Lizzy writes another. I would love to see more Zoey Rogue team. I am even interested in seeing about the other team members and there soul mate.
Stayed up all night to read this book. I absolutely adored it. Review to come!
EDITED:
SO this book was fantastic! There were so many ups and downs but in the end I was very satisfied with the outcome! I am hoping that Lizzy Ford makes more Zoey books to see where her life takes her and definitely need more books on the brothers! I can say without a doubt that this book was better than the last and her writing style only got better. I love Dec, always have and I am excited that he got some answers and how much he grew as a person!
Long time waiting to read this!!! Loved Zoey #1, by far one of Lizzy Fords strongest female characters. This book picked up where it left off and packed a real good punch! I love that she kept Zoey true to her personality, strong, bullheaded and no nonsense. I adore Declan although at times he just made me want to smack him upside the head, their romance is so sweet and complicated which made it all the more interesting. Loved this book, I recommend that you read book one to get the full feel of this series.
I fell in love with Zoey in Zoey Rogue and fell even deeper in love with her and Declan in this book. Zoey and Vikki's friendship is awesome. It felt like I waited forever for this book...the wait was well worth it. If you have not read this series and like kick-ass woman this is definitely a book you will want to read. Lizzy ford has not disappointed...I have loved every book of hers that I have read.
Ah, this is a fantastic second installment in the Incubatti series. I love these books. It seemed like the end, but can two books be a series? I'm a little confused, and I hope if there are more that they center around different characters. I love Zoey and Declan, don't get me wrong, I just want them to have their happily ever after. Great job Lizzy, what a wonderful story.
Fantastic! Impossible to point out all the bits I loved. Really really hope there's another book to follow; I need to know about Chrissy and Grant and what Declan and Zoe end up with. If not, then this story is in desperate need of an epilogue so I'm praying for book 3!
I waited for this I think like a year to be released and I have to say that didn't disappoint me. Lots of controversy, steamy hot sexy scenes. I really hoped for a third one just to see what happens with these two, I have to see their happily ever after
Love it!!! There's only one thing I can say about this book: A kick ass, no BS heroin with a big heart who knows that the right path is always the hardest to take but the rewards are pricesless.
This book was funny like the first one, but it had so many unnecessary complications.
The first problem I had was with Declan and how he didn’t even try to tell Zoey what really happened at the end of the previous book. I didn’t understand why he didn’t just go to Zoey and tell her exactly what happened. He said that he was really busy with his new role which seemed like an excuse but ok, then why didn’t he just tell her telepathically? That was the most annoying thing. If he was really so busy and couldn’t get away from his job to go to his mate (which violates rule four), then why didn’t he just talk to her telepathically?
Also, the fact that he makes no effort to try to tell Zoey what happened, but just expects her to come to him and trust him again made me angry.
I was a bit annoyed with Zoey’s reaction when he tells her.
The politics in this book were really irritating as no one did anything because they were scared that it would annoy the other side. A lot of what happened in this book could have been skipped over if Declan stopped being a blind idiot and helped Zoey.
I liked this book as I, mostly, liked the characters, but the way everything became massive complications was annoying and made me enjoy this book less. I might try other books by this author as I thought that this book was funny and full of action.
This storyline is brilliant. The characters are likeable and have developed well. With lots of action and twists. Sophie gives a fantastic performance.
