This series has officially landed in my "it's fine" category. Not terrible. Not amazing. Just... there. Three books in, and I keep waiting for that moment where the story grabs me by the throat and refuses to let go, but it never quite gets there. The biggest issue for me is that everything feels surface level. The ingredients are there for something dark, emotional, and unforgettable, but the execution never fully delivers. The angst is present, but it lacks the emotional punch that makes me obsess over characters long after I've put the book down. The romance is there, but I never felt completely invested. The drama happens, but it rarely leaves a lasting impact. Instead of being swept away by the story, I often felt like I was simply moving from one scene to the next.
The audiobook unfortunately made things even harder. The female narrator completely pulled me out of the experience. Every emotional scene sounded more whiny than emotional, and every serious moment lost some of its impact because of the delivery. Instead of hearing strength, vulnerability, anger, or heartbreak, it often felt like the same drawn out tone over and over again. There were multiple moments where I found myself focusing more on the narration than on what was actually happening in the story, and that's never a good sign. When you're already struggling to fully connect with the plot, a narrator can either save the experience or make it worse. For me, this narrator definitely made it worse.
What's frustrating is that I can see the potential. There are flashes of interesting character dynamics and moments where I thought, "Okay, now we're getting somewhere." But just when things start building momentum, the story seems to level back out again. Nothing feels intense enough. Nothing feels shocking enough. Nothing feels emotional enough. For a series that should have me completely invested by book three, I still feel strangely detached from almost everyone involved. At this point, I'm not hate reading the series, but I'm not loving it either. It's keeping me mildly entertained, which is why I keep turning the pages, but it's missing that spark that separates an average read from a memorable one. When I compare it to books that have absolutely owned my soul, this one just doesn't come close. It's the literary equivalent of watching a decent TV show while scrolling on your phone. You're technically paying attention, but you're never fully locked in.
Overall, this is a solid 3-star series for me. Readable enough to finish. Interesting enough to keep me going. But not emotional, addictive, or memorable enough to make me fall in love with it.

Book 3 of Thorncrown University.
This story had me gripping tightly to my tablet reading as fast as I possibly could. I did giggling out loud a few times. Mercy and her friends she made at her dorm are hilarious especially Manson. The rest of the time I was on the edge of my seat. Mercy, Saint, Angel and Heath are working through their stuff learning to trust each other. A mirad of things happen throughout this deliciously dark story that tests boundaries, feelings, alliances, truths. Trying to find information about Eternity has added enemies. Will they all live through this to actually find out the truth? Will it bring them closer to each other or will it tear them apart?
This story is very steamy in all it's wrong but oh so right ways.
OMG the cliffhanger at the end left me broken and needing the next book like right now.
Selene is my favorite Dark Bully Romance author and I highly recommend this series and any book she writes. Remember to always check TW before reading.

This was a really enjoyable read and is the third book in the series which continues Mercy Soules story. It’s full of intrigue, suspense and of course s3x!
I love how the guys are now seeing Mercy in a different light and are becoming a lot nicer to her (well… in their screwed up way lol). There are so many trust issues going on it makes me anxious but so glad we are finding out more about Eternity’s disappearance - who was involved, what happened etc and am very intrigued as more characters are becoming known along the way.
I literally screamed at the ending 😱 I mean what the hell!!!! I did not see that coming! I can’t wait for more.

Of Saints & Savagery is book 3 of the Fallen Gods of Thorncrown University series. It can not be read as a standalone, you do need to read the others in the series first. Of Saints & Savagery features Heath, Saints, Angel and Mercy, and continues where book 2 ended.
Mercy, Heath, Saint and Angel are still trying to find out what happened to Eternity.
I loved this book, its well written and keeps you guessing whats going to happen next. I loved seeing the boys reaction when seeing Mercy in a different light and them being a bit nicer towards her. I enjoyed seeing Mercy become stronger in herself. Theres twists and turns as some secrets come out, but there are more answers that need answering. This story ends on a big cliffhanger, and I can't wait for answers from book 4.

O m g so bad
I can't believe this author strung this book out for 4 books. It is so bad, right? So slow, I skimmed most of it, and just because I'm a glutton, for punishment, I actually am waiting on 3, which she's not even putting out until December 2nd. Why? Why is she waiting so long? I'm this book was so bad. I'm going to ask audio to return my credit for it. That's how bad this book is, not the narration? Just the book itself is horrible. I went back and tried to recap. First, she takes so long before she releases the next book that you forget, so I went back and read the last chapter of the book 2, and I'm like, why did I give this book a one star? I remember why. And now I remember why I gave this oneAone star as well. This book is horrible. Do not read.

Dark romance with morally grey characters you can’t help but swoon over, Selena and Alexa B. James are killing it with this series! The mystery, secrets, twists that make your head spin, tension ready to snap, and the depravity between these characters is intense. Starting back in where we left off in Of Angels & Absolution, Mercy is determined to find out what happened to Eternity. The Hellhounds: Angel, Heath, and Saint, they all have some figuring out to do. Sheesh! Some of the burning questions have been answered, but gosh darn it we get more to be uncovered, and I’m not mad about it. It edges you to the point of madness, and I need more!! The wait till December is gonna burn 🔥, cause that cliff, whew.

Selena had done it again with Of Saints and Savagery. I love Thorncrown U and am counting down the days until the next book in this series!!! This is part of a series and is a why choose, taboo forbidden romance. It touches on dark themes and topics, so check the warning. I love the mystery and dispense most in this book. I'm on my toes, sitting on the edge of my seat while reading Selena’s books and this one didn't disappoint. The sterling is original, heartbreaking and page-turning. The characters are coles and have history. Their chemistry is off the charts and intense. I can't wait to find out what happens in the last book in this series!!!!.

I devoured this book in one evening, I'm loving this series. Saint, Angel and Heath are wild, arrogant, brutal and sadistic. I love them for it. Glad to see Mercy finally taking what she's wants and can't wait to find out what happened to Eternity.
This is book three in the series, each end on a cliffhanger so you have to read the first two. If you have any triggers then this series is not for you. The closer we get to finding the truth about Eternity, the more unhinged things seem to be. Mercy is about to unleash some secrets better left buried for most out into Faulkner. One of the most blasphemous of truths is revealed. Games are absolutely still played. But this installment is so much more than the last. It hits so much harder, crazier, and is simply tantalizing in the most Selena way. She has woven her magic in these words and once you begin you won't put it down until it over...yup that devastatingly good.

This picks up immediately after the last book and Mercy's whole world changes. She discovers things she didn't know not only about herself but about the guys and Eternity's disappearance.
Definitely the best book of the series so far! This had the perfect amount of debauchery mixed with storyline. And I loved how much more indepth this went with the Eternity mystery. I cannot wait for the final book!.

Gosh, what an entertaining book in this series! I am loving all of the details on Eternity - I feel like I know her and understand her better. The twists and turns, craziness and unexpected events really kept me flipping the pages. This does end on a cliffhanger, but that's expected in a series. Overall, I really enjoyed it and can't wait to see where this story goes! I was sent a copy and these are my honest thoughts.

Oh I love this series. It has everything I love to read. Academy setting, secrets, bully, reverse harem, rival cliques, and spice. Selena writes stories you can get lost in. I was unable to put this down once I started. I can't wait for book 4 to come out. Hoping to get answers to what happened to their childhood friend and of course, I need the HEA. Highly recommend to the dark, bully romance readers.

This is book 3 in Selena's Thorncrown U series that should be read in series order. This is a wonderful continuation of the storyline and characters. Picking up right where book 2 leaves, our characters Heath, Saints, Angel and Mercy continue their journey in this deliciously dark romance read. A few giggles but mostly I was on the edge of my seat. Can't wait for book 4!

Mercy Mercy!!! I am so excited that Mercy has now shed the more innocent part of herself and started to step into the merciless bad ass she has been hiding. She still has moments of playing the innocent role and I love how Angel and Mercy had a conversation about it. The ending of this book! Heath is so broken and this is the first time I feel sad for Saint. Bridget and Jake continue to knock this out of the park with their narration.

Wow !!!!
Book 3 started off with a bang and just kept rolling. It was spicy, forbidden . There were secrets and twists everywhere. I thought i knew what was going to happen but I was wrong it was better . One lady and multiple guys throw in secrets and spicy time and you have an amazing fast paced read that will have you fanning yourself.

Oh my goodness, the twists just kept coming in this intense, dark and depraved story. At times I wanted to scream at Mercy to stop taking crap from these guys. None of them can stay away from the other just like magnets. This book is definitely hard to it down and your head will be spinning trying to keep up. That ending was a shocker and I need the next book now.

I have just stumbled across this outstanding series. It's dark, delicious and I want...no I need more!!! Mercy breaks my heart, and I need her to get everything she could possibly want in life. Especially those boys on their knees for the rest of their days worshipping her!!!

Need book 4 now please.
We're getting closer to the answers to the questions we've had for 3 books. We got some information if not partial answers but we way more questions. Who's going to make it to the end? Will the quint be reunited? Will all of Mercy's men make it? Will they accept the relationship the way it is? We just gotta wait and see I suppose.

This series is seriously spicy and hot with a little bit of mystery. It reminds me a smidge of Lords series as far as vibes go, but a little heavier on the smut. I will say book 3 out of 4 (aka this one) was my least favorite. I think there was just a bit to much smut as filler in this one, but overall a great series and totally worth the audio listen!

Mercy, Heath, Saint and Angels story continues with more dark twisting turns games and secrets that reveal more but bring up more questions about Eternity, ends on a cliffy i can't wait for more! Well written engaging steamy suspense and revelations!

Great addition to the series. I loved how the intensity from the previous books continued in this book. The mind blowing moments were many and throughly entertaining to read. I cannot wait to read the next book. Great storytelling.

Noooo the cliffhanger!!! I enjoyed this book the guys are finally starting to see the FMC and they are actually starting to be nice in their own ways. I am loving the suspense in this series keeps you guessing. Def check your trigger warnings
