Stories where the right guy always gets the right girl, first kisses are as magical as they are on the big screen and anything is completely possible if you believe.
Although this journey began years ago, it recently took on a whole new life. After years of devouring hundreds of Romance, YA and New Adult novels, I had an epiphany... I should write a book. And I did it!

Sexy, Wild and Untamed!
We met Mallory, Whitney's younger sister, in Escaping Me. The bar hoping, trash talking feisty little southern girl who had her life change when she found out her mother had had an affair. That one night changed everything, her parents divorce and the little fact that the man she had thought all those years to be her father, wasn't.
This is her story. She has decided that she wants to get to know the man who fathered her, and why he just left town and never looked back. She knows nothing about him and when she talks to her mom about him, she can see her mother struggle over the quilt of keeping it a secret all these years.
She goes to live in Savannah with Whitney and Cole and every few days makes the 3 hour drive to Charleston, SC to spy on Vince, trying to get the courage to go talk to him and tell him who she is.
"I could rent a place above Vince's shop and maybe that would make it easier to find out about him and meet him, for that matter. It was the perfect excuse to run into him without looking like a stalker. Or maybe that actually made me a stalker?"
When Mallory and Boone first meet, there is nothing but hostility. Mallory, trying to keep the secret of why she is truly in Charleston and Boone, thinking she is a reporter trying to get an interview with him. He soon finds out that Mallory (he knows her as Molly, that's the alias she is using) doesn't even know who he is.

This book was everything I wanted in a follow up to Escaping Me and so much more! This is the story of Mallory, Whitney's sister, and her journey to finding herself and coincidentally finding Everett Boone! Mallory has been burned in the past and doesn't do commitment, she only does casual. After finding out her life has been a partial let, Mallory sets out on a journey to meet her father. Along the way she will have help from both Whitney and Cole. She also will meet a delicious young man named Everett Boone.
Everett Boone is also running from his past. He is hiding out, avoiding the publish eye, and drowning in the guilt of a past life. This is the story of both Mallory and Everett learning to heal and finding comfort and solace in the most unexpected places. It is about giving second chances and learning that just because one misfortune happened doesn't mean life is plagued by them. This is a lovely, sexy, witty book that will have you wondering how things will play out. As a bonus, the lovely Elizabeth Lee gives us a glimpse into Whitney and Cole's happily ever after as well. You don't want to miss this book!

Finding You (Escaping #2), is one story that I was definitely looking forward to since I met Mallory in Escaping Me (Escaping #1).
The sassy little sister to Whitney is back for her own story. And if you haven’t read Escaping Me yet, it is a MUST. Cole and his “hammer” awaits you. ;-P
A little about the story: Ok, so what can I say without spoiling any of the plot for Escaping Me...Mal leaves home in search for “someone.” During her search for this “someone”, Mallory meets Boone. The sexy professional golfer who is on-a-break from the life he once knew. He quit golf when tragedy impacted his life. He needed to escape his life for a bit so he found refuge in Charleston, SC working at an ironwork shop. The attraction is immediate but Mallory is a no commitment type of gal. So will they just be for fun or for the long haul?
What I loved: I loved hearing the voice of sassy Elizabeth Lee again. Her female characters are just as lovable as she is, and just as fluent in sarcasm. I believe that she writes all of them based on at least a little of her own character. And we all know the love I have for her so... :-)
We also get glimpses of prior characters that I loved in Escaping Me. It was great to see that all was going well. And, can I just tell you how much I love Mallory and Whitney’s mom?!? She is another lively one.
And then of course, the #BooneSwoon. It was actually quite enjoyable (yes, I said enjoyable) to read Boone’s perspective as a former pro golfer. I haven’t read any book up until this one where the potential love interest was a golfer. I actually really like to watch golf, and NO, it’s not always boring. So having those relatable elements in the story definitely made it fun. Why yes, I did recognize her shout out to David Feherty!
What I didn’t love so much: DISCLAIMER - I am currently addicted to the Outlander series SO it was very hard to clear my mind from what was happening with Jaime and Claire. AND as much as I complain about how detailed and long the Outlander books, I think I have now become accustomed to them so… with that said, I felt that at some parts of this book there could have been more detail and at other parts, I felt some unneeded repetition I also found the story to be a bit predictable. Besides these (IMO) minor imperfections the story was very sweet and by the end I was a happy girl.

This story was very Elizabeth Lee; a little bit of drama, a whole lot of fun, plenty of sass, and a HEA by the end. Thank goodness she always delivers the HEA...well, sans her combined writing with Caisey Quinn, Storm Warning, where they ripped our hearts out and left us hanging for almost-a-freaking-year now… So I take it Caisey is to blame for that evil? ;-p Anyway, do yourself a favor and READ THIS SERIES. The characters are divine.

I fell in love with Finding You the same way I fell in love with Escaping Me. I started the book and couldn't put it down. Mallory and her sister Whitney are one of the best things about this book and I love their relationship. Their hilarious back-and-forth banter and interaction made me smile because they remind me a little of myself and my sisters, minus the looking-for-my-father part. They look out for one another and there is genuine love there. The other characters are fun too with great backstories and once again, the story takes place in a great setting. I'm in book love.
Mallory makes no apologies for who she is, for who she used to be, and for who she wants to be. She embraces everything about herself from the wild-child ways of her high school years to the feelings of "I'm a little unsure of exactly how this is going to play out!" that she is experiencing while she is dealing with her present situation. I can't imagine how I would deal with not knowing my dad, then finding my dad, then moving closer to my dad, then having to work up the courage to introduce myself to him. I love love love how this was written into the story and incorporated into the romance as a whole. Mallory made me laugh all along the way, which is exactly what I expected after meeting her in Escaping Me , and I loved her for it BUT ALSO she brought this really cool sense of reality to her situation that made me feel connected to her story. It wasn't so serious that this book become bogged down with issues, but it was the perfect amount of real-life and romance.
Basically Mallory is my favorite type of female lead, the both strong and vulnerable kind, and she wears this well.
And Boone, what a guy. Again! Author Elizabeth Lee always seems to write some of my favorite romantic guys. Here we have an ex-athlete with a thing in his past that he is trying to work through - he isn't alpha-male angsty, he just needs someone to show him some kindness and be nice to him. He's a drummer. He's handsome. He works with metal. MAYBE THE BEST thing about Boone? The way he and his family have reconnect after the big event that I've been hinting at strained their relationship, which suggests personal growth and development. I am ALL ABOUT some family reconnections lately in books and YES YES YES to this one.
This romance is fun because it sneaks up on Mallory and Boone when they don't plan it, they don't expect it, and they really don't want it. I LOVE THAT. Both Mallory and Boone have these awesome, nerve-wrecking, I LIKE YOU SO MUCH BUT I'M SO NERVOUS feelings. So fun! It's so fun to see Whitney's sister get a chance to tell her story AND so fun to see Whitney and Cole pop back up in the book.
I recommend Finding You to fans of New Adult Contemporary Romance and fans of characters that make big life changes. Readers that enjoy sibling relationships and family reconnections may also love this one! This is a companion that can be read as a standalone, SURE, but I love the heck out of the other book in the series too so why not give them both a try? I'm so excited for Whitney and Boone, you guys. I want you all to be excited too.

Full of sassy witty dialogue with a fun and flirty romance!

The story:
Boone comes from a wealthy family, but despite appearing to have had a prvilleged upbringing, all Boone really wanted was the attention and repspect of his father, a pro golfer. Boone took up goft himself and pushed himself to be the best, but after tragedy strikes, Boones left that life behind him, to live a quieter life. That is until the fiesty Mallory moves in next door and shakes his world completely.
Mallory is still coming to terms with the fact that the man she thought was her father isn't infact her biological father after all. After tracking down her real father and landing on his doorstep, she suddenly toungtied and unable to tell him the truth. She decides maybe it's best to get to know him first before revealing her identy. In the meantime, her new neighbour offers some much needed distraction from her family drama. And as sparks fly between Mallory and Boone, it's only a matter of time before the truth comes out.
The characters:
Mallory is one feisty little firecracker. She's bold and outspoken, and not afraid to have a little fun. But her life isn't all sweet and easy. Not only is she dealing with discovering her real father, she's also still affected by a nasty broken heart. Not willing to put her heart on the line again, she convinces herself she's happy with casual commitment free flings. But Boone challenges her and makes her question what she really wants.
Boone was a very mysterious character. He's quite closed off at first and very reluctant to reveal any private details to Mallory. He's been through a lot recently, and hasn't really dealt with it yet. Mallory's vibrant sassy personality brings Boone out of his self and forces him to confront his past and work towards a positive future. Both Mallory and Boone are really good influences on each other, and bring out the best in themselves.
The romance:
After getting her heart broken Mallory isn't looking for commitment. But Boone changes all that. I loved that Boone wasn't afraid to admit he didn't want a one night stand. It was refreshing to have a hero that hadn't sleep with an endless line of women to overcome his past. I really respected his attitude and the way he treated Mallory. These two had great chemistry from the beginning and it just built from there.
The Writing:
This story was told in dual POV from both Mallory & Boone, and I think that worked really well. It allowed us to understand both characters motivations, in particular Boone. Since much of his past isn't revealed to Mallory until later in the book, it was important for the reader to her his perspective and have him explain what he was thinking.
FINAL WORD:
Finding You is full of sassy witty dialogue with a fun and flirty romance! The characters past brings a depth and substance creating a strong and beautifully told story.

This was such a fun, sexy, sweet story about second chances in love and life. Elizabeth Lee has some of the most intriguing female characters for her stories, and Mallory Vandaveer was no exception. Finding out that she was fathered by someone she’d never met, and having the only father she’d ever known walk out on her and her mother, left her feeling pretty much lost and unwanted by the men in her life. But she was strong and determined to figure out who she was, and a big part of that was meeting her real father. Vince, the man who was the first to leave her behind. Little did she know that breezing into his life would bring a lot more than she’d bargained for.
Tracking her father down to an ironwork shop in Charleston, SC, Mallory goes into full-on detective mode. I loved the shy little girl side of her we see here, where she’s so curious about this man but is terrified of what she’s going to find. You can’t help but hope he turns out to be a good guy after what she’s been through, and the added bonus of Vince’s sexy employee Boone definitely got my attention quickly!
When Boone and Mallory first meet, it’s a collision of misunderstandings. Both of them are hiding from the truth: he the former pro golfer avoiding the spotlight after a tragedy, and she the unknown daughter trying to spy on dad without being found out. So to say that things are a bit tense between them is an understatement, but it makes for some great sexual tension. As Mallory inserted herself into Vince’s life, Boone was a part of that package, and moving next door to him above the shop just made the temptation that much stronger for both of them. The question wasn’t whether or not they’d give in to the attraction, but whether or not it would end there. Readers get plenty of steamy good times to drool over here, and the tender side of Boone that he slowly lets Mallory see made him even sexier!
As the truths started to come out and the time Mallory spent with Boone became more than just sex, there were some heart-wrenching twists that kept me flipping pages right up to the end. There’s no questions Mallory deserved to find happiness with a family and a man who truly loved her, and Boone had his fair share of healing that he needed help with, too. It was a bumpy road, but in the end a beautiful story that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Elizabeth Lee is easily one of my favorite authors and I could've done cartwheels when I learned she was writing a book from Mallory's POV. I loved Mallory in Escaping Me and couldn't wait to get more of her story. And guess what? I absolutely loved it, even though it's hard to put into words why.
After learning that the man she thought was her father really wasn't, Mallory decides to make a big move and find her biological father. She moves to Charleston, South Carolina, and finds a lot more than just her father. It's there she meets Everett Boone – a man who is keeping secrets, too – and, most importantly, herself. I loved Mallory for being the strong, independent and free-spirited woman she was in Escaping Me. But, I loved her even more in Finding You. She was questioning a lot about her life. Mallory was on a journey in this book and I loved watching her grow into the woman she became at the end.
Everett Boone was so freaking swoony. I loved him from the moment he popped up on the page. He was a genuinely good guy. He carried around quite a bit of baggage and it definitely impacted his life. When Mallory (or Molly, as she was calling herself) moves into the apartment next door, he can't help but be drawn to her. He's not looking for a relationship. He's not looking for anything casual and without strings. But, the chemistry between them was undeniable and neither of them could resist too long. Together they were passionate and sexy. I loved their banter and I enjoyed watching them fall for each other. But, love is never easy, especially when secrets are being kept.
In addition to navigating this unexpected situation with Boone, Mallory was getting to know her father, Vince. She hadn't revealed her identity, but she lived above his shop and worked in a diner he frequented, so she was able to get to learn more about him without the pressure of their connection hanging over them. Vince was a great guy and I enjoyed following this very important part of the story as much as I enjoyed the romance.
Fans of Whitney and Cole will undoubtedly enjoy their presence in this book. There are some big things happening in their lives and I'm glad Elizabeth clued us into all of it. Additionally, the support they offered Mallory when she needed it just made me smile. I love these characters.
I was wrapped up in Finding You, Mallory and Boone from the moment I opened the book. I literally read it one sitting without interruption because it was that good. New adult fans who haven't started this series should definitely give it a go. It's well-written, sweet and sexy, with characters you can't help but fall in love with. Each book can be read as a standalone, but they're both so good, I don't know why you wouldn't want to read both of them. ;)

Me gustó muchísimo! Si, no fue nada que me sorprendiese totalmente pero es una historia que se lee fácil y nunca deja de entretener. Realmente, hacía mucho tiempo que no leía a personajes libres de drama, las únicas situaciones "conflictivas" lo eran apenas, nada ex desquiciados, delitos y familias descarriladas, el único punto que hubo me pareció que siempre estuvo medido por ambos personajes y el final fue sumamente tierno, dejan a las cosas fluir en su debido tiempo y no aceleran su tiempo para .
El final y el epílogo me encantó :)

What a great NA story. I was floored when everything came out about Mallory in the first book. I mean floored, not only because of the truth, but because of the way it came out. Not exactly the way you want to find that truth. But..it sets her on her path, her journey to find her truths. Along this way, she finds Boone. I laughed at their interactions. They were so.. odd. It is the best way to describe it. But it was such a beautiful love story. When he went back on tour, I honestly thought Elizabeth was going to leave me broken. Leave me wanting more for these two. But then, Mal makes the ultimate gesture. I loved it.
Elizabeth does a great job of writing such beautiful love stories. They have just enough personal drama to keep you addicted, but not overwhelm the over all story of the relationship itself. And she has this way of just getting you so involved in the story, you don't realize you have read the majority of it, until it's almost over.

Loved It...It Was a Page Turner
I loved Cole and Whit but Mallory shines in this story...well it was her story. It was nice to have a but if Cole and Whit mentioned in this one but I was glad to see that we learn so much more about Mallory. She's definitely a spitfire. Boone was much more emotional than Mallory but she has enough spunk in her to make up for him. All the characters were loveable. My only question is what happened to Zeke? I hope he gets his HEA too.

I have another fave author to add to my list, Ms Lee just keeps getting better and better.
I love her characters, they are tough yet sweet and soft hearted in different scenes.
Her writing style always hold my attention and gets me addicted to the story.

Just like the first one, I enjoyed this book just as much, read it on one sitting and even LOLed a couple of times, I really liked Mallory. She was upfront and knew what she wanted, and was kinda real to me in a lot of ways.

Finding You is the second book in Elizabeth Lee's Escaping Series, but this book can be read as a standalone. Finding You centers around Mallory, but fans of Escaping Me will get to see several familiar faces including Whitney and Cole. I really enjoyed Escaping Me and would recommend starting with that one, but it is not necessary. Mallory's story was really good, and I loved getting to know her better.
After finding out that the man she always though was her father wasn't, Mallory decides to head to South Carolina to meet the man who actually is. She agrees to stay with her sister Whitney and Whitney's boyfriend Cole, until she finds out that the apartment above her father's shop is available for rent. Not ready to tell her father the truth, Mallory rents out the apartment and figures it is a good way to start getting to know him. Mallory quickly meets her new neighbor Boone, and things don't start off the best between them. Boone has a past that he would rather not be explored, and he prefers to be left alone. But soon Boone and Mallory are unable to stay away from one another, and Boone finds himself opening up to Mallory. But with Mallory's real reason for being in town still a secret, she is hiding some very important details from not only her father but also from Boone. When the truth finally comes out, will Boone be able to get past the fact that she lied to him? Or will it hit too close to home for him after everything he has been through in the past?
Boone and Mallory were both great characters, and I enjoyed their story a lot. Having read the first book, I knew that Mallory was a fun loving girl that liked to keep things casual. She was strong and independent, and I loved her personality. But after finding out about her dad and having been pretty much abandoned by every man in her life at one point or another, it was clear that she had another side to her that most people never saw. She tried to put on a tough face, but it was clear that she had a vulnerability to her because of it all. It was great to see Boone help her out though, and I really liked how he was able to show her that it was okay to open up and take a risk. He was exactly what she needed and I really loved them together. Boone also had issues though, and he was used to others looking to get something from him because of who he was. I liked that Mallory had no clue who he was and that she was genuinely interested in him as a person. I did think that Boone made a few mistakes though, and a few times I wanted to shake him a bit. He didn't mean to hurt Mallory and I know that he was trying to handle things the only way he knew how, but I didn't agree with his actions. I thought that Boone and Mallory were a good couple though, and the chemistry was clear between them.
I will say that I wasn't a fan of how this story started. The prologue was a bit confusing at first, and I will admit that I wondered what I was missing as I was reading it. I didn't care for it giving away some pretty big information, even if it wasn't the whole story. I don't really like when the start of a book gives away any or all of the ending and then we back up to get the whole story. It just leaves me wanting to rush through the whole book to figure out what happened rather than actually enjoying the story and taking my time to get there. It is always in the back of my mind what happens, and I think it detracts from the story. I did like Boone and Mallory's story though, and I enjoyed seeing these two fall for one another and experience the ups and downs of a new relationship. I just wish that I hadn't known part of the ending of the story. It was nice to see Cole and Whitney and some of the other characters from Escaping Me though. I think that fans of Elizabeth Lee's will really like this story, especially those familiar with this series. If you haven't read anything by Elizabeth Lee, I think that you should definitely give her books a shot. They are always well written with unique characters, and I have really enjoyed everything of hers that I have read. I look forward to more from her in the future.

Upon finishing Escaping Me, the first book in the series, I could not wait to get my hands on this book! I instantly loved Mallory and her spunky, tough as nails attitude. She has had quite the bomb dropped on her in the previous book and now she is leaving town to hopefully get some answers in Charleston. Mallory is just one of those heroines that you can't help but envy. She goes after what she wants and doesn't let fear keep her from doing new things and taking chances.
She is taking quite the chance in renting an apartment above a welding shop and keeping her true identity a secret from both the shop owner and her new next door neighbor. She wants to make sure she's doing the right thing and will be well received before she goes in guns blazing, which I get. I do think Mallory should have fessed up a lot sooner than she did though. Her withholding this information certainly causes problems with her sexy neighbor, Boone, who she finds herself falling a lot harder for than she ever thought.
Mallory is a no strings kind of girl. She doesn't do relationships, after being burned by them in the past. She has not had a strong father figure and just feels the men in her life haven't been there for her in a lasting capacity. Everett Boone is a complete jerk to her in the beginning, not wanting to have any kind of contact with the beautiful new girl. He has been living his life under the radar for a few years now, wanting to escape the spotlight after a personal tragedy.
Boone is determined to keep Mallory at arm's length, but her free spirit and her flirty, fun attitude draw him right in and really makes him rethink his desire for solitude. She works her way into his life and eventually into his heart. Both of them agree to keep things casual, but find that's not really what they want at all. Mallory likes spending time with Boone and vice versa. They have incredible chemistry together and I liked watching them slowly open their hearts to one another after they swore they wouldn't.
I absolutely love that Boone is a former golfer! How awesome is that! I don't think I've read any books where the athlete is a golfer, so it was definitely awesome to read about a different sport for once! We really don't get too heavy into the golf scene in this book though. I did like seeing the parts we got though!
We get plenty of Whitney and Cole for those of you that have read the first book in the series. They also have some big things going on in their lives, so I was glad that Lee touched base with them. They are so supportive of Mallory and I'm really glad she had them in her life.
Vince was another really great character too. He is the owner of the welding shop below and really acts as a father figure to Mallory. He is very protective when it comes to Boone discussing having something more with her. He is also good to Boone and the two are very close as well.
I am excited for you all to meet Mallory and Boone. They are both trying to find their place in the world, overcome tragedies and obstacles, as well as deciding what they want from one another. This is the second book in the Escaping series, this time following the beautiful Mallory, Whitney’s happy-go-lucky sister as she steps out alone to find her father and herself along the way.
I really liked Mallory. She may come across as fun, carefree, sexually confident and hard as nails but not far under the surface she has vulnerability about her; she just wants to be liked or loved. She is scared of rejection so builds walls around her that are hard to penetrate and hides behind sex to mask her true thoughts and feelings. In short, Mallory is really a complex character and if someone would bother to put in the work they would realise in no time.
While Mallory was off on her mission she didn’t expect the added complication of meeting a guy who got her head and heart in a spin but she did just that. Everett Boone was a sexy as hell guy who due to a traumatic experience kept himself to himself, preferring to be alone with only work and his drum kit to keep him company. Well, that was until Mallory appeared and embedded herself into his life, turning his self-imposed solitary existence on its head! From the get go there was certainly some sexually charged tension between the two of them that only got hotter as the story progressed. They both had issues weighing heavily on their shoulders and it was heartening to see them both let themselves go around each other, they were so sweet together! Despite some frustrating misunderstandings and pride issues they really were good for each other, changing one another for the better.

There were some great relationships between the secondary characters too. We see more of Whitney and Cole from the first book, Escaping Me and we meet some new ones. I especially liked Mallory’s father Vince, he is just how a father should be. I must admit that while we had several father/daughter moments I would have liked to have seen more between the two of them once they had officially re-united. They seemed a sweet pairing and I would have loved to see Vince have a chance to really bond with this daughter.
This story had some great humour and witty banter! It was also sweet, heart-warming, anxiety inducing and sad in parts. We saw deception, lies, lust, passion and love; it had it all and I enjoyed every minute of it! It also has the most perfect epilogue. I have a huge love of epilogues, a good epilogue is a big deal for me and this one is now chalked up as one of my favourites, it did things to my heart!

She is scared of rejection so builds walls around her that are hard to penetrate and hides behind sex to mask her true thoughts and feelings. In short, Mallory is really a complex character and if someone would bother to put in the work they would realise in no time.
While Mallory was off on her mission she didn’t expect the added complication of meeting a guy who got her head and heart in a spin but she did just that. Everett Boone was a sexy as hell guy who due to a traumatic experience kept himself to himself, preferring to be alone with only work and his drum kit to keep him company. Well, that was until Mallory appeared and embedded herself into his life, turning his self-imposed solitary existence on its head! From the get go there was certainly some sexually charged tension between the two of them that only got hotter as the story progressed. They both had issues weighing heavily on their shoulders and it was heartening to see them both let themselves go around each other, they were so sweet together! Despite some frustrating misunderstandings and pride issues they really were good for each other, changing one another for the better.
‘I pushed up on my forearms to look at her. In hindsight, it was a mistake I didn’t want to make. Seeing her there, with her lips parted – the hint of a grin still lingering – I felt something stir inside of me that was a whole lot more than just sex.
It wasn’t love. It was too early for thoughts like that. This was the first stage of addiction.’
There were some great relationships between the secondary characters too. We see more of Whitney and Cole from the first book, Escaping Me and we meet some new ones. I especially liked Mallory’s father Vince, he is just how a father should be. I must admit that while we had several father/daughter moments I would have liked to have seen more between the two of them once they had officially re-united. They seemed a sweet pairing and I would have loved to see Vince have a chance to really bond with this daughter.
This story had some great humour and witty banter! It was also sweet, heart-warming, anxiety inducing and sad in parts. We saw deception, lies, lust, passion and love; it had it all and I enjoyed every minute of it! It also has the most perfect epilogue. I have a huge love of epilogues, a good epilogue is a big deal for me and this one is now chalked up as one of my favourites, it did things to my heart!

I really love this series! I loved the first book Escaping Me. And I knew immediately reading the prologue to this book that I would fall in love with this story as well.
We first met Mallory in Escaping Me and I LOVED her. Like loved-loved! She is honestly a great female character, one of my favorites for sure. Mallory has a great family with her Mother and sister, but what she really wants so desperately is to reconnect with her long lost father Vince. So she decides to pack up and move closer to wear he is. With no real plans for a job, she intends on staying with her sister Whitney and her boyfriend Cole. Which I totally enjoyed by the way, since they were the MC’s in book one.
Mallory is secretly stalking her father’s workplace, slowly building up the courage to confront him when she comes right into contact with the broody and kind of jerky “Boone”. He immediately accuses her of being someone she isn’t and this surprisingly lays out the framework for most of their snooty mildy aggressive banter towards each other. I actually found it really cute.
So before she knows it Mallory is caught up in a big lie. She wasn’t really ready to confront her Dad yet, but when she sees a for rent sign she can’t help herself. So she rents the apartment for super cheap and throws out a fake name to avoid any familiarities. Unbeknownst to her, Everett Boone lives right next door, and so it begins…
Boone also has some secrets of his own, and some things from his past that he would like to keep locked up. Neither Boone nor Mallory want a relationship at this point, and surprisingly Boone doesn’t want a friends with benefits situation either. He wants nothing but to be left alone. But obviously things have a way of not going as planned, and these two fall into the cutest non-relationship I’ve ever seen. Boone turns from this Broody bad attitude kind of guy into a swoony dreamy kind of guy and I loved him. His pool towards Mallory is what softened him and he didn’t even realize it.
In the mean time things with Vince are cool, and they are slowly getting to know each other. But there is still this underlying unknown thing going on. Boone can tell something is up with Vince, and at this point I could only imagine the fallout of Mallory’s lie which I obviously won’t be sharing because of spoiler issues. But I can say this, I really enjoyed how it all played out. There are definitely some angsty moments, and there are some really great awwwww moments. This is a great, sexy, sweet read and I would recommend it to anyone. This can be read as a standalone, but I would totally recommend reading the first book since that is where I first met Mallory and fell in love with her.

Finding you is the second book in the escaping series. Here is where we follow Mallory on her journey to finally find her father but she ends up finding so much more.
For months Mallory has been going to Charleston to meet her dad but she gets scared and backs out every time until a cocky bastard accuses her of something making her want to prove him wrong. Then all of a sudden she finds herself in the middle of a living a big lie.
Boone is running from his past and his guilt but when he confronts a stranger about stalking him he quickly realizes he's wrong then finds himself tempted for more in a really long time.
Boone and Mallory are like fire and water but with Mallory's outgoing personality and vixen way she cracks open Boone. For Boone he knew that Mallory was always going to be something more than just sex but he played along hoping for more. Mallory had walls for a reason and he broke them down but secrets and lies always have a way of coming out.
Boone has been nothing but honest so when he finds out Mallory has been living a lie it's hard to trust what's real and what's not.
I did like this book and the story. Sadly, I'm just tried of the the really insecure girl with walls 'everyone leaves me' heroine but that's my personal issue from reading too many books and having way too many similar story lines, which at times has left me jaded and it hard to get past that aspect.
Besides the whiny heroine the story was good, Boone was fantastic and this is a cute series.

Mallory was the wild child sister of Whitney that we met in Escaping Me. She found out that her father wasn't her father and decided she needed to find him and meet him. But how do you tell someone "hey, I'm your kid". Well she packs up and decides to go stay with Whit and Cole and drive up to Charleston to see if she can actually make contact with Vince, her father.
Leaving the PGA circuit 3 years ago was probably the second hardest thing he'd ever done but Everett Boone had done it. He turned away from the money and the only life he'd ever known. Losing Aubrey the way he had had taken a toll on him. He decided to move to Charleston and start over as best he could.
With it being the 3rd anniversary of Aubrey's death and with that girl sitting out in front of the ironworks shop, he knew that she just had to work for a paper or magazine and was there just to get the latest scoop. So he confronted her to see what all she knew. He didn't expect to meet a feisty blue eyed blonde who took his breath away and Mallory sure as heck wasn't ready to called out by the sexy green eyes of Boone.
Coming up with a cover story had been easy enough, looking for a place to rent and a new job. That's what she told Boone when he brought her into her fathers shop. She couldn't just come out and say I'm here to find my father. So when she meets Vince about the apartment he asks her name she came up with Molly Pritchett so he wouldn't know right off who she was. She wanted to get to know him and get a feel for him before she announces "hey, I'm your kid".
She rented the apartment right next to Boone and got her a job at the local diner. She quietly asked questions about Vince but became increasingly aware of Boone. The sparks were flying. The sexual chemistry was off the charts. So when Molly offered a no strings attached sexual relationship Boone couldn't help but accept. As we all know, feelings are bound to grow in these relationships. Boone starts feeling something for her and she for him. But what happens when the truth comes out and those boundaries have been blurred?
Will Boone be able to understand the secrets and the lies? Everyone has always walked away from Mallory, what if Boone does as well when the truth comes out?
This is a hot and quick read. I love Elizabeth Lee's storytelling and this one is no exception. I just hope we get Zeke's story next :) I think he deserves one!

Raw, sexy and Irresistible
This was a fun, sexy read about two people from the opposite sides of the tracks, but they soon find out they have a little more in common with each other than they think and the chemistry between them is explosive.
Whitney has everything she thought she ever wanted. Living with her rich lawyer Father and her step mother, going to a great college and has a very popular, handsome and athletic boyfriend. She thought she had a great life. That is, until she finds her boyfriend of 4 years in bed with another girl. Heartbroken, she decides to spend her summer with her Mom and sister, Mallory, on the farm and try to forget all about Wesley.
Cole has nothing and thinks he will never amount to anything, as everyone keeps telling him. Coming from a broken family, his mother a crack addict, his dad in prison and his brother the town deputy. When he gets into trouble and his brother uses his last favor to keep him out of trouble, thats when its time for him to leave town. Thats when he meets her, she is about to turn his world upside down.

Finding You did not live up to my expectations. Which, honestly, is my own fault. I should've read the blurb, not just skimmed it. I expected Finding You to be about Mallory searching, and finding, her long lost father. The story opens up with her doing just that; she goes to look for his dad and when she finds him, she doesn't reveal who she is because she already had one fake father walk out on her, and now she wants to be sure this one is worth keeping. So she hides the fact that she's his daughter, and in the meanwhile meets Everett Boone, or just Boone as he's called. From here on it's all about Mallory and Boone, and the story line about getting to know her father is forgotten in favor for the forced relationship between Mallory and Boone.
I'd hoped this would be more about Mallory and her father rather than what it was. I still wish that, because instead of a story about a young woman finding herself, Finding You is just another contemporary romance with little depth. The sexual chemistry between the main characters is forced to the extreme, and when there's attempts at adding some emotional depth to their relationship, it's shallow. It's them bonding over their pasts, but instead of becoming an emotional moment it falls flat as the heavy topics in their past aren't dealt with in a way they require. Another round of editing would've done wonders for this.
Then there's the slutshaming. The hero at one point admits that if Mallory had been the type who drinks, parties, and sleeps with strangers, he wouldn't be interested in her. (Personally, I felt as if the sleeping around part was most important to this statement, not the drinking and partying.) And at one point, a woman hits on the hero, and the heroine finds it necessary to point out that the woman is half-dressed and is "nasty". All of these small tidbits together doesn't paint a pretty picture of our main characters and how they view other women.
Together, this story was underdeveloped and needed another round of editing as well as a clearer plot.

Finding You is Mallory’s story and I couldn’t have been more anxious to get my hands on it. It was obvious from Escaping Me that Mallory was unmistakably different from her sister, Whitney. As I read Finding You, I was so completely satisfied with the way that Elizabeth has nurtured Mallory’s voice in order to tell her story. Every second of this book screamed Mal. Her personality, excitement for life, and overall energy radiates from each and every page. Elizabeth couldn’t have captured Mal any better and it kept me completely consumed by this book from start to finish.
By the time we see Mal again in Finding You, she has grown, the newly revealed truths of her life maturing her in unexpected ways. Don’t get me wrong, Mal is as feisty as ever and she can stir up trouble like nobody else, but there’s a softness to her, a vulnerability that has been exposed by the uncertainty she faces. Elizabeth Lee has developed this character in such a beautiful and genuine way. She is still all snark and attitude, independent and ready to take the world head on, but Elizabeth has revealed the extent of her complexity, making her undeniably human, and it connected me to her on a much deeper level.
Boone is a BBF to die for. He is most definitely the strong, silent type, capable of melting you with just a look. These two together are absolutely scorching and Elizabeth made sure we could feel the heat. The attraction between them was perfectly palpable, making the exquisite tension between Mal and Boone ten times more satisfying. Each and every conversation between them is a constant battle of wits, with their native language being flirtation, sarcasm and innuendo. This book was so much fun to read. It kept a constant smile on my face.
Finding You was surprisingly heart wrenching. Mallory’s personal journey leads her right to the one person with the power to really break her. As she tries to figure out exactly who she is, we are left to stumble, backtrack, jump and let ourselves fall right alongside her. Boone’s past refuses to be left behind, further complicating this highly emotional situation. My heart ran rampant as I made my way through this story and I just couldn’t put this book down until I had read the entire thing. Elizabeth Lee continues to outshine herself with each new release and I absolutely loved losing myself in Mallory and Boone’s story.

In Finding You we get to meet the sexy ex-golf pro emotionally wounded Boone and get a better look at exactly who the adorable sassy Mallory is. Mallory is struggling with news of finding out that her dad isn't who she thought he was. Not that her dad was ever a dad to her, but knowing that there is a man out there she's never met before who is her real father is something she just can't let go of. Mallory finds herself moving half way across the country with Cole & Whit just to be closer to a man she's never met before. What she planned was to figure out a way to get closer to Vince and get to know him. What she didn't plan on was meeting Boone.
Boone has secluded himself from everyone in the world except Vince. Only Vince knows his troubled past and is there to support him, providing him a job in his shop and a place to live above the shop. Boone's life is far from perfect, but he's managing day to day and is perfectly happy keeping to himself. He never planned, though, for the intense feelings he'd soon come to feel for Mallory as they are soon thrown into being neighbors.
As Mallory tries to hide who she really is until she feels that Vince would accept her, she finds herself drawn to Boone with a force she just can't deny. Mallory always felt she was the friends with benefits type of girl, Boone always felt he was the relationship kind of guy. As the two both enter into their "relationship" they both find themselves in unchartered territory.
Elizabeth wrote a story about two people, completely different but yet so much the same who's pasts just keep coming to the present. Can the two manage to overcome their fears of the past and move on to a future together? And will Mallory allow herself and Vince a chance to get to know each other, as father and daughter - not just as friends? Will Mallory and Boone find their courage and open their hearts to each other.
I loved Finding You - it was sweet and steamy but it also was so different from what I expected. Boone was a refreshing hero and now I will forever be a golf fan ... who knew golf guys could be so HOT?? Mallory's sassy personality was endearing but seeing her let her guard down was something so worth reading to the end for.

Boone has secluded himself from everyone in the world except Vince. Only Vince knows his troubled past and is there to support him, providing him a job in his shop and a place to live above the shop. Boone's life is far from perfect, but he's managing day to day and is perfectly happy keeping to himself. He never planned, though, for the intense feelings he'd soon come to feel for Mallory as they are soon thrown into being neighbors.
As Mallory tries to hide who she really is until she feels that Vince would accept her, she finds herself drawn to Boone with a force she just can't deny. Mallory always felt she was the friends with benefits type of girl, Boone always felt he was the relationship kind of guy. As the two both enter into their "relationship" they both find themselves in unchartered territory.
Elizabeth wrote a story about two people, completely different but yet so much the same who's pasts just keep coming to the present. Can the two manage to overcome their fears of the past and move on to a future together? And will Mallory allow herself and Vince a chance to get to know each other, as father and daughter - not just as friends? Will Mallory and Boone find their courage and open their hearts to each other.
I loved Finding You - it was sweet and steamy but it also was so different from what I expected. I think Finding You was one of the best books I have read in a really long time. Now, I read the series out of order. I thought I was going to be lost, but I am being honest, I liked Finding You BETTER!!! I think it was because of Mallory! She is fantastic!
OK, so Finding You follows the story of Mallory. She is coming into her own. Finding out things she never knew and dealing with them on her own terms. Recently, she has come to find out the person she thought was her dad her whole life, isn't really her dad. So now she is out to find her real father him and get to know him. She comes up with this crazy plan to meet him. When she gets to where he lives, she panics. Mallory sees a sign for an apartment to rent. She uses that as an in! After all, e sons the building!
Now Mallory is renting the apartment from her real father, who also works in the shop right there with his employee and fellow renter Boone. Now you know with the name Boone, he is gonna have some back story. Boone, it turns out, used to be a professional golfer who quit after her suffered a personal tragedy. So now Boone is hiding out working a real job and living a hermit type life because he doesn't want to be bothered by anyone.
Mallory didn't move to a new place to meet someone and start a romance. No. She moved half way across the country to get to know her dad and find out if he knew she existed. She didn't plan on the way Boone and her would have great chemistry and a pull towards each other. Mallory gives in and decides she can handle a friends with befits type of relationship. Boone, hasn't even looked at another women in years. He is not sure what to make of his feelings towards Mallory. What starts off as something easy, turns into some strong feelings on both parts.
But the couple is hiding things from each other. The biggest things is that Mallory doesn't let Boone on the fact that his boss is her father! This turns into a problem when Boone finds out.
I absolutely adored Mallory. She was a sarcastic, wise cracking , take no prisoner type of chick. I loved her. She was not a push over. But when push did come to shove, she had to go after what she wanted.
Finding You was a great read! I loved every second of it!

Oh my gosh, Elizabeth Lee has done it again! I loved everything about this book!
Finding You is Mallory and Boone's story. Mallory goes on a search to find her father. The last thing she expected to find was Boone. Boone has had a hard few years and is just trying to fade into the shadows, until he meets Mallory.
"She makes me want to come out of the shadows and get back on the course, because if you want something, you have to go after it."
Their relationship starts off as a means to an end. Two people just enjoying one another's time and blowing off some steam. Soon, they both realize that they mean more to one another and want to take a chance on something more. Everything is going well until one day, a small lie, tears them apart. You'll be left wondering if love really does conquer all.....
I loved Mallory. She put on such a tough girl act, but really she just wanted to be loved and a chance to know her father. She tried so hard to fight having real feelings for Boone and almost missed out on something so wonderful. Boone: He had a lot of regrets in his life and realizes that a life of solitude is not meant for him. Together Mallory and Boone make such a great couple.
I was so happy to see that Whitney and Cole still played out a big part of this story. I was so happy to get to see how their life turned out. They definitely deserved their happy ending!
Finding You was a quick, but enjoyable read for me. I loved the angst and romance. Finding You made me laugh, cry and swoon. I loved everything about this story and didn't want it to end!

I met Mallory in Escaping Me and had been patiently waiting for her story ever since. And now that I’ve finally gotten it, I was not disappointed. Mallory heads out on her own to find her father, but she ends up finding so much more. Boone is a pro-golfer that has stepped away from the game due to a tragic event in his past. Initially, he wants nothing to do with his new neighbor, Mallory, but it isn't long before these two are drawn to one another. I love Mallory, she’s sassy and wild, she goes for what she wants, but we see a vulnerable side of her as well. I was intrigued by Boone from his very first appearance and soon completely fell for him. The relationship between Boone and Mallory turns into more than either of them expected, I love these two together, but Mallory is carrying around a secret that could potentially tear them apart. I would have liked more from the father story line of the book, I felt if was pushed to the back burner and then it came together almost too smoothly. Overall, Finding you is a sexy and flirty read with a bit of drama in the mix. It was great catching up with Whitney and Cole from Escaping Me as well.

In this follow up to the book Escaping You we get to know more about Mallory, Whitney's crazy, fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants sister. I loved her in the first book and I couldn't wait to see more of her story and if she could possibly be tamed!!
Mallory is dealing with some tough news about the man who she believed to be her dad for her entire life and news that he is not her dad. This is a beautiful NA story of self-discovery.
Since Whitney and Cole have both relocated to Savannah, she is able to travel there every few days to 'spy' on the man who is her real father and maybe gather some information about why he left, and perhaps let him know who she is and that she exists. Along the way she encounters Boone who was more of a pest than a possible suitor. He is busy trying to find out why she comes to town and she guards that secret with her life.
Once she's settled she slowly lets Boone know more about 'Molly"...her alias. They start to become closer and settle on a no strings attached relationship, the only problem is, the more they get to know each other, the harder it is to stay true to their arrangement. This is an excellent read and I would recommend it to all NA lovers!! Well done!
