I took and passed the PMH-C exam in May 2026. For those considering this book as a primary study resource, there are a few important points to keep in mind.
First, this book alone is not sufficient to pass the exam. Its strength lies in helping you calibrate your test-taking mindset. It trains you to read questions carefully and approach answers in the way the exam expects. In that sense, it is useful, but it should not be mistaken for a comprehensive content resource.
Second - and this is critical - you need to thoroughly know the material from the course manual provided in the initial training. That content is foundational and directly relevant to the exam.
Third, if you are trying to distill and prioritize what matters most from the manual, use the PMH-C blueprint as your guide. It helps focus your studying on the domains that are actually tested.
Overall, I rated this book 3 stars because it is helpful for test orientation, but insufficient as a standalone study tool.
