Fans of this entertaining series are sure to enjoy reconnecting with this unique cast of characters. The Sky Thieves had disbanded after defeating their biggest nemesis. But now they’re being targeted by an unknown entity in order to force them out of hiding and back out into the open. They reunite to ferret out and neutralize this new enemy before they lose their freedom for good. This new installment is as descriptive, detailed, fast paced and tense as the previous entries in the series.

The audiobook narrator does a good job of creating distinct voices for each character, but for me personally, Alec’s portrayal missed the mark. I guess he just didn’t ‘sound’ like the voice in my head. She does maintain and ratchet up the suspense and tension very well with her voice.

The Sky Thieves are back! I was so happy that Jason Kasper took my suggestion on what to write next after the Shadow Strike series concluded - OK, he probably had the same idea, so I can't take all the credit... With that said, this series was my first taste of Jason Kasper's storytelling several years back, so having the crew back in action is a real treat. While the Sky Thieves are forced through circumstance to pick things up three years after parting ways, it didn't take long for their unique personalities and skillsets to bring back all those good memories from the first four volumes.

A shadow nemesis with seemingly unlimited resources at play to finally catch and eliminate the crew means it will take all their smarts and resources - in the form of a few heists, of course - to get to the bottom of what's going on. With very detailed descriptions of the devices and procedures that are only second nature to how the Sky Thieves operate, we get to experience the angst of figuring out what to do next combined with heart-pounding close calls during the heists. On full display are how the intense planning and a little luck, along with the ability to bounce back from setbacks, all play a part in their uncanny ability to not only survive but thrive in the end.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable, rollicking ride throughout. Thanks to the author for the privilege of previewing The Stormridge Con, and I look forward to the next Sky Thieves heist to come!

I received an ARC through "Severn River" and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

The story begins with Sterling and Blair are in the Maldives when they spot a drone and immediately make plans to escape. The two were members of a group called "The Sky Thieves". At the same time, Alec and Marko, two more members of that same group were caught as a result of some person providing fake information that implicated them. Eventually Sterling and Blair met up with Esther, another member, who was able to bring them to La. where they are got back together. Their mission was to find out who implicated them as well as obtain the necessary information that would clear Alec and Marko as well as another large group of individuals who had provided the group assistance in the past.

Follow along with the group and discover the actions that they took to finish the mission. Learn what obstacles they had to overcome as well who was the responsible individual who had it in for them. The ending is well done and the story is definitely well worth reading, don't miss out!

It’s a forced reunion of the Spider Heist family and it starts off with a blast from the past and very quickly into an unexpected future. This is a stand-alone book; however, for first time readers of Spider Heist, I recommend that you also read the original series from the beginning but after you become intrigued by this one. Who’s Rasputin? Where does everyone regroup? Safe cracking at its best & why does Kasper know so much about it?? How does fake propaganda imprison the innocent and hidden data releases them? Who’s in charge of Spider Heist and who’s in charge of the opposition (and, why)? But who’s really in charge? This novel is also a techy nerd’s nirvana while the novelty of a ‘spider heist’ is reaffirmed. Why does the cartel become involved? Could there be more than one or two heists? Suspect the unexpected…over and over. Be ready to hold your breath more than once and keep turning those pages. The ending is a cliffhanger but don’t cheat. Enjoy!

The Stormridge Con is the fifth stellar instalment in the Spider Heist Thriller series by Jason Kasper. This series is one of my all-time favourites, so I was incredibly excited to find that we were getting more from the Spider Heist gang. I didn't hesitate to snap up a cop of this book to continue the adventures, preordering it as soon as it was announced, and eagerly counting down to the release date.
I plunged in the moment it hit my Kindle, waiting till midnight just so I could start the instant it landed. I intended to only read a few chapters before going to bed - but I practically inhaled it and ended up reading it all in one sitting.
It was everything I hoped for, and more.
Now I can't wait to get my hands on 'The Talon Gambit' (Book #6).
Highly Recommended!

My full review is still to come.

This is the fifth installment in Jason Kasper Author’s “The Spider Heist” series, boasting a compelling blend of mystery, action, and engaging dialogue. The narrative unfolds approximately three years after the events of the previous book, with Sterling and Blair married and in hiding in the Maldives, while Marco and Alec are focused on their respective business ventures. However, their brief respite is disrupted by an unknown adversary, prompting the team to reunite and leverage their collective expertise to survive and counter this emerging threat. This book is exceptional, and I highly recommend it. I eagerly anticipate the release of the sixth installment, “The Talon Gambit,” scheduled for 2026.

The Stormridge Con is book 5 in the Spider Heist series. I have not read the entire series, and I am going to go back and re-read it. I feel the I would have a better grasp. However, I was able to follow along. The Sky Thieves have moved on and hope to escape their pasts. However, it seems that someone has tracked them down, and they have to band together and uncover who is after them

This is a fast paced thriller. You will be drawn into the story within the first few chapters

Thank you to the author and Severn Publishing for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.

Welcome back, Sky Thieves!

Not much in my bookish life made me as happy as the day Jason Kasper announced that, more than three years after he wrote what was the last Spider Heist book, he was picking the series again.

And gosh, did he not disappoint!

Blair, Sterling, Alec, and Marco are back, with the addition of Esther, and they came back with a bang, tons of action, unknown foes, and more mysteries to solve. They also return with a book full of the whole gamut of tours and detours that made this series the hit (no pun intended) that it is, much to my enjoyment, and leave me looking much forward to the next of their adventures.

Welcome back, Sky Thieves!

I received an advanced copy of this book for my honest review. This is a continuation of a series that took a break and it came back full speed. You should read the previous books in order so you can better appreciate the main characters. This book a great addition to this series. I highly recommend all of the books in this series and all of this authors other book series as well. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Another great story from Jason Kasper! Our crew finds their idyllic life in hiding shattered. They barely make it out. Now they have to find out who is hunting them and why. Not so easy. The group gets back together and the hunt is on! Actually more than one hunt. We are also set up for the next installment. I definitely recommend this book!

I'm glad they're back

I missed the Sky Thieves, Alec, Blair, Esther, Marco, and Sterling. Their somewhat incongruous b & e's. Their daring escapes. Their high tech. I'm glad they're back. The story pacing keeps you not wanting to pause reading for anything. The Sky Thieves grab you and you vicariously join their missions. Keep 'em coming, Jason. NEXT!!!

hAnother, Well Researched Thriller

Another great story with Exceptional research offering a detail explaining technology and intelligence many never see, read about and without stories such as this wouldn’t believe. The reality of the twists and turns are what makes Author Kasper’s books so enjoyable. On to the last in this series. VR, Mags

What a story! This is the first Sky Thieves book that I have read. I won it in a Goodreads giveaway and I am so glad I did. I can picture it being made into a movie. Edge of your seat stuff.

Started out slow. Heavy on the details. But then everything started to make sense and the action took over. Good installment in a fun series. Hooray for the Thieves.

My least favorite of all. At this point, this series has passed the point of still being good and fun to read and is now just scraping for ideas.

I have read a few Jason Kasper books, but my 1st in the Spider Heist series. A bit too wordy describing certain scenes, but overall a good read. The band is back together after disappearing(laying low), now their network is being rolled up, and they must fight to survive an unknown enemy trying to kill them.
Great cast of characters, a fast paced thriller, and a good amount of action. Supposedly book 4 was the final installment in the series, but I would think book 5 is a must to close out the series.
Thanks to Severn River Publishing for the ARC of the thriller.
