A steamy, angst-heavy M/M romance standalone with bully-to-lover tension, forced proximity, and one hell of a possessive biker who doesn’t take no for an answer.
They were enemies long before the kiss that changed everything.
Miles has spent his life keeping people at arm’s length, and there’s one person he avoids at all costs—Kaz Tailler, his relentless childhood bully and the son of the president of the King’s Disciples Motorcycle Club. For years, Kaz has pushed him toward violence despite the cost being a broken nose.
They’re adults now, and Kaz is a full-patch member of the Disciples. Miles is convinced they’ll be able to keep their hands to themselves, but one night at the Disciples’ clubhouse proves him wrong. A reckless kiss shatters the thin line between hatred and desire he’s been riding for years.
Kaz may be used to getting under his skin, but now he’s worming his way into his heart, and Miles isn’t sure which is more terrifying—falling for his former tormentor or discovering that the feeling is mutual. Trust doesn’t come easy for Miles, and if he lets Kaz in, he might end up with a heart broken beyond repair.
Ana Night is a writer of suspenseful gay romance. She’s an avid reader who has loved the written word since she discovered it. When she was a kid, she never went anywhere without a notebook. She was always writing, be it in the backseat of the car, between classes in school, or by the pool on vacations.
Ana is a self-proclaimed expert in hugging, people climbing and especially ugly dancing. When she’s not writing, you can find her with her nose buried in a book, singing and dancing, watching her favorite TV shows, or creating book covers.
Ana lives in Denmark where she spends most of her time running from her ninja kitty—that one goes for the ankles—and getting lost in the woods with her horse.
It’s a great prequel but I read it not realising it’s a prequel and so I was left with a cliffhanger - which I absolutely hate .
KAZ (SALVATION KINGS MC: NEW FREEDOM CHAPTER BOOK ONE) RELEASES SEPTEMBER 9TH! He’s the past he ran from and the future he never stopped wanting… Kaz Tailler has fought hard for the life he’s built. Now, with his own motorcycle club finally taking shape, he’s close to the future he’s always wanted. Then Miles Holland walks right back into his life, long before he was ready. He wanted the club finished, the timing right, and the past buried. Instead, Miles stands in the center of the chaos, and all Kaz can think about is claiming what he lost… even if Miles might never let him. Miles Holland never stopped loving Kaz, but he buried that truth so deep, he almost believed it. Then he’s pulled back into Kaz’s orbit when his sister joins his new club. He finds himself face-to-face with his biggest regret and the only man who ever truly unraveled him. His defenses start to crack around Kaz, but he’s not that foolish nineteen-year-old anymore. He won’t fall into old patterns or into Kaz’s arms again—unless it’s real this time. As old feelings reignite, danger closes in. Building a club in unfamiliar territory comes with risks, and not everyone wants them around. A storm is brewing, and Miles will have to decide if a second chance with Kaz is worth the half-truths and uncertainties.

Ana Night has done it again—delivering a story that grabs your heart and doesn’t let go. Kaz and Miles’ journey is raw, emotional, and unexpectedly tender. From the very first page, I was hooked by the tension between these two characters. Kaz, once a broken soul adopted by the ever-loving Ares and Jace, has grown into a complex man who hides his vulnerability behind teasing and torment. And Miles? All he wanted was a peaceful break from college, not a party celebrating the one person who’s always gotten under his skin. But what unfolds is so much more than enemies-to-lovers. It’s a story of healing, discovery, and the kind of love that sneaks up on you when you least expect it. Watching Miles peel back Kaz’s layers—and realizing there’s more to their connection than just friction—was deeply satisfying.Seeing Ares and Jace again was a treat for longtime fans, and their presence added warmth and continuity to the story. Ana Night has a gift for making you feel every moment, every glance, every unspoken word. Her writing is immersive and emotionally rich, making it easy to live the story right alongside the characters.
I didn’t want this book to end. And now I’m counting the days until the next one.
Ana Night is a newer author for me, but boy, does she rock my socks.
I fell in love with Miles and Kaz. Kaz was adopted by Ares and Jace in an earlier book. Kaz found loving Ares and Jace till the men broke him open and showed him what love means. For several years, Kaz has tormented Miles just to see Miles mad. It heats him up hardcore. All Miles wanted was to get away from college and spend some time at home with his dad's. On the drive back, he is told that tonight is a party for his enemy, Kaz. This isn't what he had planned when he came home. Miles finds out that Kaz is so much more than his tormentor. Will there be a future for these two men, or will Miles go back to college and go on with his life without Kaz?
Wow, another one I didn't want to end. I loved these two men. Loved seeing Jace and Ares again; loved those two. I can't wait till the next book comes out by Ana Night. I love the way she writes her stories so that you can believe and live the story along with them. Thanks for the chance to review this beautiful story.
I forgot that this is a prequel, so it came as a surprise when this book left me hanging with bad blood between Kaz and Miles.
Their relationship changed from enemies to friends with benefits or a fuck-buddy kind of situation, but when Kaz started to catch feelings, he felt insecure and scared of not being enough for Miles.
Miles was invited to Kaz's birthday party. In there Miles saw Kaz with a girl, so he assumed that girl was Kaz's gf and thought Kaz was cheating on her. Kaz didn't deny the accusation; in fact, he added salt to Miles' wound by saying, "We never said we were exclusive." Then Miles walked away with a broken heart and misunderstandings between them.
After reading the blurb for their upcoming story, it got my blood boiling because I fucking hate a second-chance romance story. Just looked at how fucked Kaz had messed up not only his life but also Miles' and let the misunderstanding still go on, I think for years, until Miles' sister decided to join Kaz's MC. For me that was too fucking late!!!

ARC Review: Miles is a prequel to the new series Salvation Kings New Freedom. It does end as a cliffhanger and their story will continue with Kaz. To read the others mentioned in this book then read the series Salvation Kings Mc. Miles and Kaz have been enemies for years. They haven’t seen each other in years, but when Miles walks in to the MCs house Kaz is instantly drawn to him. One kiss is all it takes for things to change. They can’t keep their hands off each other. Their chemistry is insane. Their connection instant. After a few weeks they want more, but Kaz thinks he’s not good enough for Miles. The ending was so sad. I felt so bad for Miles. Kaz has a lot of groveling to do in the next book that’s for sure.
This is an enemies to more romance novella, featuring Kaz and Miles, and is book one in the Salvations Kings MC: New Freedom Chapter series.
Miles never thought he’d fall for Kaz, his childhood bully turned biker, but one kiss changes everything. Now he has to decide if giving Kaz a chance means love or heartbreak.
Wow… Miles and Kaz’s chemistry was all push and pull, hate and want, and I knew it was going to end in a cliffhanger but I was still hoping for a HEA. Can’t wait for the second part to come out this week.
Things to expect in this book are: Book 1 in series Novella MM romance Bully/Enemies to more Forced proximity Motorcycle club Possessive MC Angst Hurt / Comfort Reluctant attraction Damaged MC Trust issues Spicy times Pushes him away Cliffhanger
Miles and Kaz went to high school together and were constantly at odds, mostly pushed by Kaz. Miles is in college and coming home for break, Kaz is getting patched into the Salvation Kings MC. It has been a while since the pair have seen each other. Kaz is instantly attracted to the older more filled out Miles. The pair get really close while their parents are out of town.
This is a prequel the series and just the beginning of their story. Cannot wait for the next in the series.

Miles and Kaz were children of two different MC, actually a branch of The Kingd and the King's Disciples. Kaz was Miles bully, but things changed when they got older. There are so many changes, like lovers. Then something happened, but I was not going to go into the change because it was a MAJOR cliffhanger. I hope it gets cleared up in Kaz book next in the series.

'Miles chuckled as he leaned over Kaz, bringing their mouths within inches of each other. “Say please,” he purred. Kaz blinked at him, his eyes the color of a dark storm. “Please.” His heart skipped a beat.'
I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Miles and Kaz, and I liked the dynamic between them. Their chemistry was scorching. This was a journey for both and I liked the way their relationship developed. 5 stars
Absolutely loved this! So many angsty moments in this emotional yet compelling storyline! Miles and Kaz were so intense and though not perfect, suited each other perfectly! Absolutely loved it and can't wait for more from Ana.

Fast and furious...Miles and Kaz are thunderous! Blistering hawt! They just get each other. But those pesky human emotions will get in the way every time. These two are on a collision course with fate. Your breath will be stolen as your heart beats out of your chest as these MC's crash and burn. I definitely recommend!!!😘
I don't think this was one ever going to do anything for me, I'm not a fan of Bully romance and yet it's needed for the next story (and I didn't know that's what it was when asking for arc). it was fine. all honesty, that's all I can say about it. Just fine.
Troupes MC Club Bully to Lover Tension Forced Proximity Possessive MC
This was a really hot and sweet novella. I loved these two together. They belong together for sure. I was not prepared for that ending. It broke my heart. I can't wait for their HEA in the next book.
This novella is a great introduction into this next generation mc series. I love the characters. And can’t wait for miles and Kaz hea. I’m excited for all of the new stories.
This is my second Ana Night read, and I did this series a bit backwards - started with Kaz’s book first and now back to his and Miles’ novella.
I was hooked from the first page. I found the writing more involved in this than Kaz’s book, and the spice is intense. As it’s a novella we get straight into it, and I think it makes sense regardless of your reading order.
The emotion, the intimacy, the heat - it was all just right. I want to reread Kaz now and definitely have to get to WIlder’s book soon.
