The second volume is pretty slow paced, and chapter 15 stands out from the rest of them. Chapter 15 visualizes Dai impromptu street performance at a jazz festival and it's amazing. The best part was the two pages of 6x6 grids that capture both Dai's playing and the audience's reactions. It's easily the best chapter of the series so far.
I like that people around him are so supportive (rare occasion for Asian family). I don’t know why, but i was connected to the characters in this story easily. Maybe i’m the one who too sensitive but there were a lot of scenes that made me shed my tears. All i can say is i hate goodbyes. Lastly, one of the most impactful scenes in this volume for me is when the author drew faces of people reacted to Dai’s music on the street, it was incredible.
