Bathed in blood, the war mother comes.Isha’s people are dying. Every generation on the toxic moon of Salus brings fewer girl children, and the powers of the matriarchy can’t stop it. When strangers from the sea bring an unprovoked attack, Isha’s powers manifest into something twisted and angry, a tempest that’s only come once before.
Legends say the first war mother’s rage was terrible to behold. That her husbands alone could weather her fury unharmed. Kidnapped by her own husband’s familiar face, with powers running wild, Isha bonds her will and body to a subservient clone commander, gentle alien test subject, and their cheeky ship’s AI.
Through the crew’s care, Isha carves her future through the bond she inflicts. Will it be enough against Saelaxia and their clone legions? Are the odds in favor of pulling off the biggest heist in the galaxy, and what cost will Isha and the crew of the Darklight pay?
Remnant's Bond was an excellent jaunt into a world of curious science, unique culture and history. Isha's confident, and empathetic values lead her on a journey of self-discovery, romance, and yes... sex, but the kind that ties directly into the world-building and plot. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down, I just had to see where all the characters ended up and how they'd get out of the trouble they landed in. A satisfying read that leaves you BEGGING for me, literally. I cannot wait for the next book in the series so I can see where all my favorite characters go next.
Deep lore, character-driven story with unique science-fiction elements and worlds and cultures whose lives and stories directly impact the plot and the romances Isha discovers.
