One choice — just one second, one simple decision — can change everything. Nobody knows that better than Harper Blake and Cooper Hayes Harper spent her entire life trying to live up to her parent’s impossibly high standards. After her choice to take off for the summer becomes the worst decision she thought she could ever make, it turns out the repercussions just might be worse. Now she’s constantly watching over her shoulder, waiting for the next shoe to drop and her last breath to come. Cooper thought he finally had his life figured out again after devastation tipped his world upside down — he was wrong. After a divorce and a move to Baltimore, one case leaves him questioning everything he’s ever known. With his life pointed in a new direction yet again, he thinks he’s ready for whatever life throws his way. Except her. He never expected his new path to put him right back in the middle of what he walked away from. Neither one is prepared for what happens after their relationship goes from strictly professional to extremely personal. She isn’t afraid to love; she’s afraid she won’t live long enough to see it happen. He’s more scared to put his heart out there than to lay his life on the line. Can she be his heart if he is her armor?
Katheryn was born in Maine and has lived there her entire life. Growing up, she was the only girl out of five children. Out of four loving, but hard-assed, brothers she has been set on fire TWICE, shot at, left with a burning car and a five gallon container of gas, scared out of her mind every time they got behind the wheel, and has enough hilarious stories and amazing memories to fill a million books. It made her independent and every female character she writes reflects strength and independence. Katheryn books are full of page turning suspense, humor, and enough steam to overheat your e-reader. "There are no weak women, just weak moments."
HOLY HELL!!! I literally just finished this book and my head is spinning! That has got to be the biggest mind f*ck EVER!!! I'm just sitting here typing, shaking my head, with my mouth open thinking... "Oh my God!". Unbelievable! Katheryn Kiden has written one of the most dark, twisted, emotionally unstable books that I have read to date, and I am simply in awe of her ability to have me wanting to throw my kindle at her one minute and then wanting to bow down to her the next!
Saint picks up right where Sinner left you hanging. I was so excited to continue Dani's story so when Saint starts off in Harper and Cooper's POV, I was pleasantly surprised. I loved Harper and Cooper in Sinner, so I was thrilled. I thought it was a very creative way to continue this story without it losing its direction.
Speaking of direction...I don't even know what to say other than "YOU MUST READ!" I know that I am not giving you much to work with here, but I don't want to give a single thing away. I want you to experience it ALL on your own. If you liked Sinner, you will LOVESaint!
Ummmm... this was a weird conclusion. I felt awkward by the end of the book. Can't exactly put my finger on the why yet.. maybe a reread in the future to see what bothered me so much.
I have no real words for what a mind Blowing book this was!! It blew the first book Sinner right out of the water, IMO. I had to read Sinner first obviously and I did enjoy reading it, wanting desperately to know what happens in Saint! OMG!!!!!
I swear this book had me on some tender hooks! I loved the way the characters were, how tragic circumstances brought people together! But just when you think things are heading south in a really bad way you are thrown for a loop in a BIG way! NEVER had I imagined the book going in the direction it did, total mind F.......!!!!(I'll let you fill in the blanks there, lol)
The main characters Harper & Cooper, I loved them! Harper worked for Dani at the agency! The poor girl has had a difficult life. From uncaring parents, to a crazy employer.... Cooper....what a tortured man but so incredibly caring to the people he loves! I just wanted to give him a big hug! His sister was a rock to him, helping him get through life's challenges and I loved that about her!
Loved Cooper & Harper together....they needed each other!!!!
If you like books that mess with your head then this will be right up your alley! Even if you don't, add it to your TBR list anyway as it's well worth reading!!! Bring on more Katheryn Kiden!!! I need so very much more, so very much more......!!!!!
So after binge reading Sinner until the wee hours of the morning, I decided to punish my body further by going straight into Saint. While you may think the name would imply something redeeming or even heavenly, I was proven so very wrong. Author Katheryn Kiden took my already shattered mine, put it back together again, and then detonated a nuclear f-ing weapon off inside my skull. ARE YOU F-ING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?
There are no words on how I could even remotely describe the feelings going through my head. Anger? Deceit? Murderous Exhausted Laced Rage? I was happily reading alone and then the end happens. Oh no, Harper and Cooper lives couldn’t be happy or squishy. NOPE! A complete and utter cluster-f-ing plot twist. It’s a very rare thing for me to write a review like this because my brain is so screwed up right now that I can’t even put words or in this case fingers to keys. There’s no way that I can even explain this book in coherent sentences and thoughts. If you like dark reads and epic twists, you may have just found the perfect book for your tastes. Now pardon me while I go cry and prepare myself for Sinister. Oh, before I go, I HATE YOU EVEN MORE NOW!
So I had to read this, especially after finishing Sinner. This book is focused on Harper, after she escapes and tries to go back to her normal life. Which hasn't been that great to begin with. Her parents don't care about her, other then how she affects their reputation. Cooper is also a main character as well and we get to see a lot more of him, and what has happened to him in his past. Harper is not safe, and after being saved, she needs protection, and just when Cooper thinks he can move on, he is right back where he started from. Protecting Harper, but what they didn't expect was to fall in love. But with all the danger, its a bit hard, especially since Cooper is so guarded. Dani is also heard from a few times in this book, we see her a bit, but she is not the main focus. I really like where the author took this book, at first while I was reading, I thought to myself "what is actually going on", and "is she really doing this?" But it all comes together quite smoothly, and all of my questions were answered. I love how it ended, but I also get the feeling that we are going to hear more from Harper, Cooper and Dani. If you haven't read the first book, you cannot start this one! Go back and read Sinner! Love, love, loved it!!!
So when I finished reading Sinner, I was sorta on edge with curiosity about Saint. I was expecting Tara/Dani's story to continue, and it did, but in a completely different way. I loved Cooper and the meek little Harper in Sinner, but getting the continuation of this series from their POV was PERFECT, and unexpected. I never expected that relationship to blossom, but it does, and although flawed from the beginning Harper and Cooper's story is beautiful. Two lives, wrecked and shattered beyond recognition crash together unexpectedly. Harper and Cooper both fight their feelings, but Cooper offers Harper all that she has ever craved in life-love and safety. Cooper is battling with falling too hard because he feels unworthy of ever loving again, blaming himself for his tragic past.
Katheryn brings the steam, and thrilling mind twists! Then, just when you're clinging to your seat, shaking your head and praying for a miracle that the roller coaster you're on won't plummet off the railing, crushing your heart, it all ends, beautifully. I can guarantee that Saint will NOT disappoint.
There is 2 things I can say about this book! 1..is that I love Cooper and I know the exact part in this book that totally made me fall in love with him!!!
The other... This is seriously one of the most mind f**k books I have ever read!!!! And that is in a good way!! My head is still going crazy with everything that I have just read!
What a great conclusion to a really great story. Once again I was thrown for a loop and never saw the ending coming but I'm glad that it ended the way that it did. I loved seeing more of Harper and Cooper and getting to see more of their lives and what led to where they are now. Glad Tara was back because she made you love this story a little more because you need some crazy in a great book.
This exciting book 2 takes you deeper in a crazy persons mind. Imagine getting away from your nightmare, only to have it show back up. On top of that you have more to lose this time because your pregnant. Is there any way to get away from your past alive?
Always Ms.Kiden does it again. This one was tough and I thought I was going to have to quit halfway through. Not because i didn't like the book, but because it was causing so many emotions and not turning out how unwanted it to. I'm glad I kept reading though!
