Pup Idol

Rate this book
In their second book, Summer and her puppy Honey enter a talent contest as a spectacular dancing duo I hope everyone out there will know by now about how I, Summer Holly Love, finally persuaded my mom to let me have a wonderful golden Labrador puppy of my own named Honey. (If you are not aware of this, you can read all about it in The Puppy Plan , a fascinating and frankly gripping account of the Said Event.) Anyway, things have Moved On since those early days of dog-ownership. Honey went through a bit of a Difficult Phase recently, developing a taste for shoes (mainly flip-flops) and terrorizing dinner guests. So, to help her through her Awkward Adolescence, I dutifully (and brilliantly) trained her at Obedience Class and in the garden. And, hurrah! Honey's amazing talents shone through just in time for our School Talent Content, where we performed our "Pup Idol" star act—and became Famous Celebrities in Our Own Right!

Summer Holy Love and super pooch Honey are back!

In her first book, Summer Holy Love got her dream come true and finally persuaded her mum to let her have a puppy from Frank Gritter (from school), who's dog, Meatball, had just had puppies. And that's how Summer met Honey... Summer and Honey had got on together and Summer loved Honey very much, but Honey was misbehaving. Mum told Summer very sternly that she needed to control her dog, in other words, train her. And when Mr Elgin represents a concert that year 4 are doing to race money for charity, it seems perfect to test out Honey for her training. Nothing can go wrong... or can it?

This is a very exciting book. I love reading about Summer and Honey, and you always have the suspicion what is going to happen next in this book!

I would recommend this book to 7+, and anyone who likes animals and their furry friends!
