A most excellent way to tie up what may be the end of this series (at least for now). A mega hurrah for the cast of characters we have come to know and love. I do so enjoy when a book has me researching things outside of the story and that it educates alongside the entertainment. Well done!

Excellent end to a series of books with three main characters we could all use in our lives! I can definitely see these stories in film format because they are more than unique and quite suspenseful.

This fifth book in the Turner and Mosley Files brings this treasure hunting team to China in search of a lost relic that’s rumored to have healing powers. They have to find the Seal of the Realm by the deadline they’ve been given or Carter’s kidnapped niece Sophie will die. This story gives exactly what readers have come to expect from this series - action, adventure, danger and treasure hunting! An entertaining, edge of your seat addition to this fun series!

Avery and Carter are thrown in the search of a Chinese relic that has been lost for centuries after Carter's niece is kidnapped. Even though there's a police investigation going on, there are no leads to find the girl and Avery and Carter, although doing their best to find the lost relic are going all over China and finding very little. They even doubt the existence of the relic as there's so much mythology around it. And every lead they find and pursue, they are also followed and hunted. Will they be able to recover the mythological jade piece and free Carter's niece? Will they be able to go back to their easy life in the south of Florida? Will this be the last treasure hunt of the series? As all the previous books, The Emperor's Palace is engaging, fun to read, has a lot of action and a bit of romance.

I thank the authors and their publisher for this ARC.

When Carter's niece is kidnapped, he and Avery along with Harrison have to rescue her. The ransom is an ancient Chinese relic believed to have healing powers. An edge of the seat adventure where time is of the essence in finding a relic which may well be a myth. I like the engaging plot with its tenacious characters and the narrative of events across two time lines. Good world building.

I received an ARC through "Severn Rivers" and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This story begins with Avery and Carter in Brazil with Carter performing a dive to see if he could locate a new type of species. He is successful with the dive and later Avery gets a call advising that Sophie is missing. Avery and Carter make arrangements to leave on a helicopter. Beating all odds in a storm, they were able to get on the helicopter and make it back to Florida where they waited for word on Sophia.

They finally hear from the kidnapper and he tells them that in order to have Sophie returned, they need to find the lost Seal of the Realm. Follow the actions of Carter, Avery and Harrison as they begin their search for the item. Learn what kind of obstacles are put in place that have to be overcome. Discover who is following them in addition to the Chinese govt.

The ending provides a good portrayal of the latest efforts that they performed in finally discovering it. This story will definitely keep your interest right till the end. This well worth the read, don't miss out!

Having met Avery, Carter, and Harrison in previous books, I loved getting an ARC of The Emperor’s Palace and meeting up with them once again. Lots of action, great scuba sequences, and exotic travel. An exciting and enjoyable archeological treasure hunt. I received an ARC from Severn River Publishing and the opinions expressed are my own.

The Emperor's Palace, the 5th book in LynDee Walker and Bruce Robert Coffins, The Turner and Mosely Files, brings exactly what we want and expect from these authors: action, danger, and fun along with central characters that readers love. Harrison is my favorite but all three are great, especially when they are together.
This adventure was forced upon the trio when Carter's niece is kidnapped. The perpetrator demands a long-lost Chinese relic in exchange for Sophie. With little knowledge of the prize, they have no idea of a started point beyond the fact that it is part of Chinese history or maybe mythology. Help from the amazing MaryAnn and people they encounter along the way, as the adventurers bounce around the huge country and slowly and frustratingly closer to the relic. Heart pounding intrigue follows the group everywhere and a two-week time limit keeps them moving almost beyond endurance.
My thanks to LynDee Walker for allowing me to read and review an ARC of The Emperor's Palace. It is a must read for those who love adventure or just great characters and suspenseful plots. I have had to back off on edge of your seat adventure and alternate calmer reading so this one took me a while to read, but I really loved it. Sigh.
