Daisy Meadows is the pseudonym used for the four writers of the Rainbow Magic children's series: Narinder Dhami, Sue Bentley, Linda Chapman, and Sue Mongredien. Rainbow Magic features differing groups of fairies as main characters, including the Jewel fairies, Weather fairies, Pet fairies, Petal fairies, and Sporty fairies.
Narinder Dhami was born in Wolverhampton, England on November 15, 1958. She received a degree in English from Birmingham University in 1980. After having taught in primary and secondary schools for several years she began to write full-time. Dhami has published many retellings of popular Disney stories and wrote the Animal Stars and Babes series, the latter about young British girls of Asian origin. She lives in Cambridge, England with her husband and cats.
Sue Bentley was born in Northampton, England. She worked in a library after completing her education and began writing for children once her own began school. Bentley is the author of the Magic Kitten, Magic Puppy, and S Club series and lives in Northamptonshire.
Linda Chapman has written over 50 children's fiction books, including the following series: My Secret Unicorn, Stardust, Not Quite a Mermaid, and Unicorn School. She lives in Leicestershire with her husband and daughters.
Sue Mongredien was born in 1970 and grew up in Nottingham, England. She has published over 100 children's books, including the following series: The Adventures of Captain Pugwash, The Magic Key, Frightful Families, and Oliver Moon. She has also contributed many titles to the Sleepover Club series and written picture books. Mongredien created the Royal Ballet School Diaries under the pen name Alexandra Moss. She lives with her family in Bath, England.
This is the first book in the Magic Animal Friends series. With eight chapters, just over 100 pages and lots of black and white illustrations, this is ideal for more fluent readers who needs something a little more challenging than first chapter books.
Lily Hart’s parents run the Helping Paw Wildlife Hospital and her new best friend is Jess Forester, who lives locally. It is the first day of the summer holidays and the two girls are happy to help out at the Wildlife Hospital, when they come across a golden cat which leads them to the magical Friendship Forest (cleverly hidden within an old, oak tree), where animals can talk.
This is a lovely story for younger children – it has a magical world, talking animals, wicked witches and all sorts of enchanting events. The girls need to rescue the little baby bunny, Lucy Longwhiskers, from the wicked witch Grizelda. Can they help the animals of the forest? The end of this book has the promise of more adventures and this will have great appeal; especially to girls who love animals.
Sevgiler: ADA SEVEN ✨

I think this was a great book. I can't wait until I read another Magic Animal Friends book. I just read to chapter three, stopped for a minute and that read some more till the end of the book because it was interesting.
This was a cute book that I read with my daughter. A wicked witch Grizelda tries to take over Friendship Forest, but two human girls Lily and Jess help the creatures of the forest and also help to save an adorable baby bunny. Cute pictures throughout. A perfect read for little girls with big imaginations! We will be reading more of this series.
It’s fine but skippable. Super similar to Rainbow Magic fairies. Some aspects are interesting but some are very meh and bland. I do not like the agreement to keep Friendship Forest a secret! Had this on the list for Emily but I think we’ll skip.
It was so good that I want it to go on and on and on! It’s about a rabbit named Lucky Long Whiskers, who the witch kidnapped, but then her friends rescued her. Kaylyn (age 8)

I really didn’t like this series by the “fairy book” authors. One star from me, 3 stars from my 7 year old twins! The writing, the story, the illustrations…none of it worked for me!
I started reading it’s a very good adventure book and is good for you’re imagination Lucy gets lost and lily and Jess go to save her it took me 52 minutes and 13 seconds
