What looks good on a spreadsheet looks different from a saddle…
High-powered businessman T.R. McGuinnes can’t wait to get his hands on Freddy Singleton’s ranch. The guy sounds desperate and the property’s a guaranteed gold mine. But when T.R. arrives to close the deal, Freddy turns out to be Frederica, a spitfire who heats his blood. A trail ride with her? Sure! He’s been on a horse a few times.

Freddy has called the True Love Ranch home all her life. She’s dealt with her share of city slickers, but she can't get a bead on T.R. He has more grit and determination than she expected, and he’s damned appealing when he’s looking and acting like a hard-working cowboy. Can she trust him with the True Love, or will his big-city plans destroy her dreams and her heart?

Saddle up for a high-spirited classic contemporary western romance trilogy by NYT bestselling author Vicki Lewis Thompson. If you love sexy cowboys and strong women, you’ll feel right at home on the True Love Ranch.

Another reread. Holds up pretty well, but of course these days everyone would have cell phones.

Didn't quite get into this 1995 story. Slipped a couple of pages here and there. In the end this was entertaining, though I much adore this author's present stories. 3☆

T. R. McGuinnes has a great idea for an investment. He knows the Sun Belt is growing, and he has found a guest ranch for sale at a reasonable price. It's a sure thing if he can find some investors. A chance accident means that he meets those investors in an elevator. He decides to go check the ranch out before he invests. And that is when everything goes sideways.
Freddy's family has owned the True Love ranch for generations but she had to sell it to a corporation that allowed her to stay on as the foreman. The corporation is selling it on, and Freddy wants her neighbor to buy it. She is not happy to have some Easterner poking his nose around the place. For everyone's good, she decides to scare him off. It is very funny, but T. R. is a good sport. Their chemistry is too much to ignore, and feelings begin to develop. But there is no way this can work unless they both change their visions of the future.

The Trailblazer

I liked this enemies to lovers romance for Ty and Freddy. The characters are likeable Three men are in an elevator in New York when it stops abruptly sending them all to the floor. Ty's briefcase flie through the air hitting the police officer on the chin and causing it to bleed. The truck driver has injured his back. While they are waiting for rescue, Ty tells the other men about a plan to buy a ranch out west and needs two partners to help finance the purchase. They agree and Ty goes west to check out the place. He loves it and falls in love with Freddy, the female foreman. I recommend this book if you love life on a ranch and a good western romance. This is my voluntary and honest review.
