An adorable new novelty counting book by Eric Barclay! Follow ten adorable dogs as they learn to count from one to ten using the animals around their neighborhood. A simple counting story brilliantly packaged in a unique, hands-on Storybox format with die-cut, tabbed board pages that will keep kids learning and having fun!
Eric Barclay is the author/illustrator of I CAN SEE JUST FINE (Abrams Appleseed) and SHEEP DOG AND SHEEP SHEEP (Harper Collins). He's also the illustrator of My PET WANTS A PET by Elise Broach, which was selected as Parents Magazine's Best Picture Book of 2018. Eric lives in Texas and wears cowboy boots.
The front cover and the back cover are the best thing about this one. The illustrations on the front cover and back cover are the best, I mean. It looks like a super-fun, super-appealing spirited read. It's not quite that thrilling or exciting on the inside. Not even with lowered expectations since it's a counting book. (There are counting books that are so much better. And that don't say for ages 3 and up.)
This counting book is presented in a storybox format with a tab to turn each page. Ten little dogs each count different animals in different places. Brightly illustrated.
