From the author of the chart-topping The Other Brother comes an irresistible, seductive, fast-paced forbidden-lovers story that will have you wanting more . . . and more . . . and more!
Gemma's got it all figured amazing best friends April and Anna, a high-flying job, and a dating life that's strictly no-strings-attached. Men fall at her feet - and she walks away from them without a backwards glance.
Max is a jet-setter with zero interest in settling down. Between London and New York City, he's in a position of power working at a luxury hotelier. But when he meets Gemma in a high-stakes hotel pitch, their chemistry is instant, electric . . . and completely off limits.
Why? Because Max is her best friend Anna's brother.
Anna has just one don't even think about her brother. But the danger zone is Gemma's favourite place to be.
Can she resist the one man she can't have? And can he resist her?
wtf has she put in this book ?! i’ve truly been blessed by the arc gods and am yet to get one i didn’t enjoy. This was no different, I liked the Other Brother, but THIS ONE omfg Tierney really upped the ante here, our FMC Gemma is so cool, she works hard, is sexy and damn does she know it, she’s unapologetic in what she wants and how she lives, and is convinced she will never be in a serious relationship again ….. Enter Max, her best friends brother….. and the man she is now working alongside on a highly anticipated hotel opening. The tension between these two is electric, the mOUTH on Max 😮💨 It’s so good. This is emotional, the lil found family is hilarious and real, the character development is natural and it’s so easy to read. It’s a lil kinky, a whole lotta fun and I just wanna be Gemma’s friend ?
thankyou Little Brown Book group and netgalley for the arc <3
Thank you NetGalley, publishers, and author for allowing me this arc in return for an honest review :)
I didn’t expect this to make me smile as much as it did. See, I didn’t go in with super high expectations because the first book was good not great but I actually really enjoyed this book. The banter was there, the spice was there I feel like everything was there. This was definitely a step-up from the last book and the last book wasn’t even bad.
——-> Max & Gemma Okok can we start of with the fact that Max is 42?? That shocked the ever loving out of me, because tell me he acts like -not a child- but a young early thirties man but he’s 42??? Like woah. But anyways, him and Gemma…They’re so cute. Their banter makes me smile and everytime a chapter with them in the office would end I couldn’t wait until the next because it was soooo funny and entertaining to read.
My only problem with them -and this book really- is how much sex they had. Yes this is a book we’re they’re “hooking up” and stuff but that doesn’t mean over half the book should be them getting freaky. There comes a certain point where it’s unnecessary and I’d rather cute possible moments than heated ones. Besides that though this was a good book and it really made my day. It made me smile, laugh out loud, and was overall just a great experience.
The Suite Secret by Tierney Page, book 2 in the London Hearts series.
I honestly didn’t expect it to top the first book, but wow… it totally did! 😍
The story follows Gemma and Max, two people definitely not looking for love (especially since Max’s sister is Gemma’s best friend and told her to stay the f*ck away from her brother). But of course… fate had other plans.
This book had everything: funny banter 😂, sizzling tension 🔥, and just the right amount of spice 🌶️. I was hooked from start to finish!
And that ending? 🥺 Emotional, heartfelt, and such a beautiful reminder that sometimes it’s better to take a risk than to regret playing it safe.
The Suite Secret is the second book in the London Hearts series and is just as good as the first! We follow Gemma, best friend of book one's FMC April as she discovers that locking her heart away after a disappointment of a relationship may not withstand the demolition crew that is Max Browne, millionaire and her possible new colleague. Max also happens to be off the table as the brother of her other bestie, Anna. Resistance is futile as a secret arrangement goes off the rails and jeopardises everything.
I love an Aussie author and I've had the pleasure of meeting Tierney twice now. I'm a fantasy girlie at heart but I was not able to put this one down. I loved seeing the fantastic characters from The Other Brother again and treasure the girls' friendship. I laughed and cried and everything in between. And I haven't even mentioned the SPICE yet 🥵
All my spicy romance girlies need to get amongst this one, it's a five star for me.
I enjoyed The Suite Secret a lot more than I thought I would. It was charming, funny and packed a few emotional punches. It's got some of my favourite tropes; best friend's brother, a slight age gap, forced proximity and of course, a very sexy workplace romance. I loved the London setting, and while I would have loved to see more of the city, I do quite like how the story was centred around a few locations. I think that made a lot of sense for the plot.
Gemma's sense of humour had me cracking up at so many points while I was reading. She was so funny, and her POV was my favourite out of the two. At the same time, she felt like a multifaceted character. She hides behind her humour, protecting her emotions after a disappointing relationship in her past. She doesn't want to get together with anyone else, always looks for a no-strings-attached fling, but Max is here to break down her walls.
Max feels pretty similar to Gemma in that regard. He's had a failed marriage and isn't looking for any commitment. And he's Gemma's best friend's brother, so nothing can happen. But nothing goes as it should. I loved seeing Gemma and Max break down each other's walls and slowly start to like each other. I really loved how we saw a slow build-up of the relationship between Gemma and Max. The chemistry was crazyyy, and the spice was pretty damn good.
I did think the last half of the book was a little slow for my tastes, and I thought the way that the third act conflict played out was just okay. But I did have a lot of fun reading these and I loved the ending that we got to see.)
The Suite Secret was a super fun read and I can't wait to check out all the books that are in the series (I have a feeling who the next book is going to be about hehe.
Thank you Sphere (Little, Brown Book Group UK) for sending me an e-ARC through NetGalley! And thank you The Bookish Type HAU (Hachette Australia) for the physical arc at RARE25 in Melbourne!
The Suite Secret was such an easy, steamy read that had me laughing one minute and blushing the next!
When Gemma meets the irresistibly handsome Max during a business meeting, things get hot and heavy pretty quickly — and I was absolutely here for it.
As a fan of Tierney’s TikToks and her signature humor, I could really hear her voice shining through in this story, which made it even more enjoyable. She’s done a fantastic job bringing the spice and fun to the page.
That said, I did find myself wishing for a little more depth and emotional connection between the main characters. There were moments where I really felt for some of the side characters, and I would have loved that same pull with Gemma and Max.
Overall, this is a fun, flirty romance that’s perfect for when you just want to switch off, unwind, and get lost in a smutty, feel-good escape. If you love your books steamy and full of sass, this one’s for you!
This is the second book in the London Hearts series, this one follows Gemma who is a high flying professional who doesn’t have time for relationships. Men fall at her feet and she loves nothing more than sex with no commitment.
Enter Max, her new client who also happens to be her best friend’s brother, he is so off limits it’s unreal.
Can she resist the one man she can't have? And can he resist her?
I read The Other Brother earlier this year and I have to say I wasn’t blown away, it was a fun forbidden love and this one is the same.
I love Gemma’s character and her confidence when it comes to sex and relationships. She is also deeply real with her internal insecurities. This book however kind of lost its way for me. The tension between Max and Gemma started off so well and they had good banter and tension, however the more the book went on the more I didn’t gel with it. There is a lot of smut in this book and it started to feel a bit repetitive and some things I felt were just in there for a shock factor. I love a smutty book but in some places it just felt a bit crass.
I love Tierney’s content and her book recommendations but sadly her books are just missing something for me.
Thank you so much to Tierney and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this arc.
ARC Review – The Suite Secret by Tierney Page ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
I went into The Suite Secret as a first-time Tierney Page reader… and I’m coming out a forever fan. This book absolutely wrecked me in the best way possible.
The spice? PERFECTION. Impeccably paced, never overdone and woven seamlessly into the story so it enhances the tension rather than overpowering it. The chemistry between Gemma and Max is instant, electric and completely addictive. Every glance, every line of banter, every stolen moment had me on edge.
Gemma is everything I love in a FMC—confident, sharp, emotionally layered and unapologetic. She has her life figured out (or so she thinks) and watching her walls slowly crack was so satisfying. Max? Peak broody, powerful, jet-setting MMC energy. The kind that pretends he doesn’t feel… until he very clearly does. HARD.
The banter and sass are top-tier, the emotional depth sneaks up on you and the character development is chef’s kiss. Tierney Page does vulnerability so beautifully—it’s raw, it’s real and it hits you right in the chest. And the forbidden tension of the best friend’s brother trope? Absolutely immaculate. The push-and-pull, the longing, the restraint (and lack thereof 😮💨)… I was feral.
This was hands down my favourite spicy romance read of the year. If you love:
perfectly spaced spice 🔥 forbidden romance 💘 high tension 😍 sharp banter 🤣 brooding MMC 🥹 emotionally rich character arcs🙌 …then The Suite Secret needs to be on your radar immediately.
Thank you to The Bookish Type for the ARC—I’m beyond grateful.
📅 Releases January 13, 2026 — trust me, you’re going to want this one on day one.
DNF at 33% firstly, I’d like to say that I’m a fan of the book content Tierney makes; she’s a great content creator, I read the first book in this series and I feel similar about this as I did with that.
From what I read, the characters came across as quite young and immature in tone, and I struggled to fully immerse myself in the narrative. Their thoughts and interactions often felt surface-level to me, with a strong focus on their physical attraction and constantly thinking about sex.
I can’t explain it but it’s almost as written as if Tierney was reviewing the book; it just lacks any real substance and the characters lack any depth and come across very one dimensional.
Sure, it’s witty and funny, but it’s implausible and I couldn’t take it seriously. When Max’s sister guilt tripped him into picking Gemma to work with, because she was sad, you’re gonna tell me a grown ass forty two year old man is easily swayed because his sister fake cried and because Gemma was hot, is why you’re going to be work with her.
This is very much a matter of personal taste rather than a reflection of Tierney’s abilities. I’m sure there will be many readers who enjoy this book and the series as a whole, but for me it was not the right fit.
Thank you to Little Brown Book Group UK for the review copy of The Suite Secret in exchange for an honest review.
Reading the second book in a series isn’t something I normally do, however that seems to be the case with this book as I didn’t realise it was the second book in the London Hearts series. Thankfully it didn’t seem to matter too much, but it does mean I’ve added another book onto my TBR as I need to read the story behind April immediately!!
I absolutely loved this book, it was exactly what I needed from a romance book and more. The dual POVs, best friend’s brother (gah the BEST), the flanter and the sex club - incredible combination. I found myself laughing out loud so many times (as a Northerner, ‘50 Shades of Gravy’ will live with me forever) and I think Tierney’s voice can be heard perfectly through her writing, the banter and the quick wit. I also found myself tearing up a bit towards the end, maybe from all the emotions and loving Gemma and Max SO much
I can’t wait for the third book, especially after reading about Anna in this one…if the third book is about her 👀 I’m so excited!!
Personally, if you like Ana Huang’s ‘Twisted’ series, then I’d recommend this series as it definitely gave me the same kinda vibe!
Thank you to NetGalley and Little Brown for the e-arc
Tropes and vibes: workplace romance - office romance - forbidden - instalust - best friend’s brother - age gap - banter
First of all, I want to thank Tierney Page, Little Brown Book and NetGalley for this eARC. Here my honest opinion.
I love Tierney Page. Her book recommendations are always chef’s kiss and she is so funny. When I found out that she wrote a book and you could ask for it on NetGalley, I didn’t think twice.
The Suite Secret is the second book in the London Hearts series. However, you can enjoy it even without reading the first one. I loved the glamorous setting, the humour, and, most of all, the characters: the MCs are great, and they are surrended by well developed secondary characters.
Gemma is an unhinged FMC. She loves sex and does not apologize for it. Max is the forty-something book boyfriend that we all need. You have a banter that is always on top and the spice… wow, THE spice! You wil laugh (and it’s better if you are not too prude), but you will alsobe moved by these people who have been hurt and are afraid to love again.
The 2nd book in the London Heart series and did it dissapoint? MOST DEFINITELY NOT.
This is my 1st book from Tierney Page and she knows how to write a captivating story with the perfect amount of spiciness.
This story follows Gemma and Max. Both of them don’t do serious relationship getting to hurt in the past, so casual hook-ups is the logical choice. But happens when you find out that the perfect person that loves all of you and all that you have to give is your best friend’s brother whom you swore to never touch and on top of that is also your new boss?
You get this page turner full of funny quotes and a few life lessons that we all can benefit from.
The only think I didn’t like was it felt like the story got slow in the middel and once again ramped up at the 85% mark.
Did I enjoy it? YES Was it fun? YES Will I recommend this book to my friends? MOST DEFINITELY
What a spicy, best friend’s brother, forbidden romance. This book is such a good time!
Gemma and Max are HOT. Both of them want absolutely nothing to do with relationship or commitment but when they find themselves working together, the banter and tension is just too much and they can’t help themselves.
They decide on a physical relationship- no feelings, no commitment with an expiration date. You can guess how that worked out for them 🤭
This is so well written and I had the best time with this book. I found myself laughing out loud at times, giggling, and sweating 🥵 I cannot wait for Max’s sister, Anna’s book and for her to get her well deserved HEA.
What to expect: Best friends brother Age gap Workplace romance Forced proximity Banter Spice
Thank you so much Tierney, Netgalley and Forever for the ARC!
Max has no idea that Gemma is his sister's best friend when he first meets her at a work presentation. As the two hit it off, they are shocked when they find out Anna is their common link, agreeing that nothing can happen. But of course, when things are not allowed, they become all the more exciting...
What a fun book this was! It had everything I look for in a romance. A bit of sass, witty banter, spiiiiice and laugh out loud moments before it all came together in an emotional heartwarming end. How have I not read a Tierney Page book before? And how did I not know she was a fellow Aussie too?! I'll be looking up her backlist pronto now.
Finished and OMG that was perfect !!!!!!!! 5 stars 10 stars 10000000000 stars 🌟 I loved the first one but this one has blown me away and I’m so thankful to be given to the chance to read this early!!!! There is humour in the book as well as raw emotion 💜 the story flows perfectly and is written really well so it paces well and I ATE this up!! I’m now excited for Anna’s story 💜 absolutely cracking read ! #bestfriendsbrother #workplaceromance #spice #booktok #arcreader
This book. THIS BOOK! Oh my gosh yes. I knew when I read book one that I immediately wanted Gemma’s story and I’m so glad she gave it. It is SPICY AF, which is to be expected with this amazing author, but the plot is so freaking good too. I was sweating, laughing, crying and blushing throughout the whole book. (Not me trying to finish the last 10% in the dentist office waiting room) now I cannot wait to get book 3!
This was everything and more. I loved Aprils story in the first book, but Gemma and Max? It felt deeper, so much more raw emotion, the connection between them both was just unbelievable. I went through so many emotions, laughed out loud, shed tears and got hot and flustered whilst reading this. This one has genuinely become the top spot. However, now I am SO excited for Anna’s story, because she deserves the world and more!!!
who doesnt love a best friends brother romcom <3 this has loads of banter, some cringey humour (not a bad thing) and lots of spice. There was a third act breakup with a little drama but thats to be expected with this trope. overall i enjoyed this addition to the London Hearts series and am looking forward to Anna's story.
I really enjoyed this one. I loved the banter, the spice and the storyline to this one. While I enjoyed the spice (and there’s lots of it), I wanted more of the falling in love and connection (like the sweet side). I cannot wait to read book 3, I am loving this series!
My gosh! This book gave me everything I wanted it to give! The friendship, the banter and the spice! I loved every moment of reading this book. I went from kicking my feet and giggling to crying. It had me so fully invested and rooting for these characters.
I want to start by saying that I was very lucky to have received an early copy of The Suite Secret—thank you Hachette. However, I still want to give a completely honest review. Entirely spoiler free.
The main issue with this book was the writing. In the most brutal description, it wasn’t good. Not only was there a lack of show don’t tell, but when things were shown, they were also over explained. You need to trust that your readers will pick up on things, and it was such an eye roll moment every time it happened. Another example of the poor writing was pretty much any time Anna mentioned Max. If you’re talking to your best friend about your brother, why would you constantly refer to him as “my brother.” HE HAS A NAME! And yeah, sometimes you do refer to your siblings like that, but not every time! I’m not entirely sure Anna even knew his name.
The characters weren’t amazing either; they were all pretty two dimensional. But Gemma really pissed me off. She spent over 80 pages talking about how amazing she was at sex and would bring this up in the weirdest places. She made it a point really early on that even though she was amazing at sex, she was also amazing at her job and wouldn’t let the two interact… anyway, she lied. Even before she started hooking up with a coworker, she mentioned sex at work pretty much every time she was there.
Lastly, you would assume that because this was a best friend’s brother romance that there would be a major plot point of said best friend finding out about said romance. While this did happen, it happened way too late. And I would’ve forgiven it if it was resolved in a way that resembled how best friends would resolve conflict, but it wasn’t. The book spent too much time focusing on side stories that really didn’t lead anywhere, and not enough time refining the points that progressed the main story.
There were some things I liked; Henry and Gemma’s friendship was really sweet, and Max had his moments. But it wasn’t enough for me to say I liked the book.
Quick Summary: A secret affair with my best friend's brother romance
My Review: The Suite Secret by Tierney Page is book #2 in the London Hearts series. It is scheduled for release on 1/13/26.
About the Book: "...a fast-paced forbidden-lovers story..."
In My Own Words: An oops moment between two professionals with emotionally traumatic relationship backgrounds heats up and quickly turns into something neither expects
About the Characters:
- Max was confident and cocky, but he was also observant and tender. I adored his relationship with his family. He was a good guy who was who he was. I loved him. I especially liked that he said what he said and meant it.
- Gemma was no nonsense and driven. She had a bit of an alpha vibe. It waned at times, but for the most part, she tried to maintain her boss energy. I liked that she was unapologetic about what she wanted. She was extra sensitive when it came to relationships.
About the Couple: This couple had an explosive dynamic. They held back until they simply could not. It was intense and then some. Beneath the sizzle, they connected.
What I Liked/Loved (coded, so as to avoid spoilers):
- The Tube Slam
- The Popped Button
- The Proposition
- You're Leaving
- We Really Shouldn't
- Mine
- Confessions
- Choices
- No Regrets
About the Audiobook: This novel was narrated Will M. Watt and Evelyn Rose. They did a bloody brilliant job! I was glued to this book. I confess that I was thoroughly entertained by this duos interpretation of the story.
My Final Say: I am being intentionally vague about the details on this one, because I know that I would totally mess up and give everything away if I were to speak on it. Oh my word! It was just that good. It's not too heavy, but it is deep enough. It's very contemporary with a slant toward a more mature demographic. I listened in one go. I laughed. I tensed up. I roared with unbelief. I was gobsmacked.
Other: Readers who are looking for a hold-on-to-your-britches kind of read, this is the one. This fast-paced read will tick all the boxes for those who want a close proximity/workplace romance with forbidden love tones.
Appreciation is extended to the author, to the publisher (Hachette Audio | Forever), and to NetGalley. Thank you so much for the opportunity to review an ALC of this title. I genuinely enjoyed the listening experience. I look forward to reading/listening to the entire series. Additionally, I look forward to acquainting myself with other works by this author.
If you follow Tierney Page, you know exactly what you're getting into: a book packed with heat, and let me tell you, The Suite Secret delivers! This book is HOT 🔥🔥🔥and has the perfect blend of forbidden fun and office flirtation.
The Heat & The Hook Spice Level: Tierney Page brings the heat, and the spice level in this one is through the roof! The tension between Gemma and Max was palpable, and the banter was sharp and on point, setting the stage for every steamy encounter.
Dual POV Excellence: I loved getting inside both Gemma and Max's heads. The dual POV was crucial for building the emotional connection and understanding their conflicting feelings about their forbidden romance.
Writing Style: The writing is easy to read and perfectly captures the author's voice. If you follow Tierney on social media, you’ll definitely recognise her fun, conversational style translated beautifully onto the page—with some great detail when it counts! 😉
Trope Central This book is a delicious combination of classic, high-tension tropes, all nicely tied together: -Best Friend's Brother -Forbidden Romance -Work/Colleague Trope
A Couple of Wishes While I adore a spicy book, I did feel myself wishing for a bit more on-page emotional connection to balance out the intense heat, and maybe just one less spicy scene to deepen the character dynamics. I also felt that the ex-girlfriend, though mentioned, didn't have the impact I expected; her "shining moment" felt a little flat.
Final Verdict This book is fun, flirty, and fiercely spicy. The supporting characters were great in helping Gemma and Max navigate their feelings. This was a hugely enjoyable read, and I'm already super keen for Anna's story next!
4.5 ⭐
As Tierney says, "Happy reading!"
Thank you to Tierney Page, Hachette Australia & New Zealand, and NetGalley for trusting me with the ARC of The Suite Secret! If you need spice, banter, and forbidden fun, clear your schedule for this one. Loved it! 🌟
The Suite Secret is a smart, emotionally grounded romance that balances sharp banter with real relationship anxiety, and you can absolutely hear Tierney Page’s witty, sassy voice woven throughout the writing. It made the reading experience feel fun, authentic, and incredibly engaging.
Gemma is a strong, independent FMC who has built her life carefully after past relationship failures. She’s determined to stay self-reliant, but what makes her arc work so well is that the story doesn’t ask her to give that up. Instead, she’s challenged in a healthy, meaningful way, forced to confront why those walls exist and what it looks like to let them down when she finds safety with someone who meets her where she is, rather than asking her to shrink. That emotional push and pull between wanting independence and craving connection is handled with nuance and care.
The romance between Gemma and Max develops realistically, full of tension, vulnerability, and hesitation. The forbidden nature of a best friend’s brother and workplace romance adds genuine anxiety and weight to their relationship building, rather than just serving as a surface-level trope. Max brings his own relationship baggage into the story, though its impact felt slightly uneven, at times it played a strong role in the narrative, and at others, it seemed underutilized.
The spice is well done and purposeful, but I would have loved to see more exploration of Gemma’s desires and needs, especially since unmet expectations in past relationships were such a defining part of her emotional framework. Still, the chemistry, emotional growth, and heartfelt moments make this a compelling and satisfying read.
Overall, The Suite Secret delivers a thoughtful romance with strong character work, believable tension, and a voice that feels fresh and confident. A solid 4-star, 4-chili addition to the London Hearts series. I can't wait for book 3!
Thank you to NetGalley, Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The Suite Secret knew exactly what it was doing, and I was weak from the moment the “best friend’s brother” trope made its appearance.
Gemma is the kind of FMC I instantly vibed with. She is confident, successful and emotionally unavailable by choice. She knows what she wants (and what she doesn’t), and commitment is firmly off the menu. So of course the one man who unravels her is the one she absolutely cannot touch.
Enter Max. Jet setting, powerful, and infuriatingly controlled. The chemistry between them hits immediately, but what I loved was how much restraint there was. The longing. The stolen moments. The we shouldn’t be doing this tension that made every interaction feel charged. Forbidden romance is my weakness, and this one delivered.
The hotel setting was such a fun one. The luxury, high stakes, late nights, and proximity that made resisting feel impossible. Their secret relationship was a slow burn done right, full of simmering desire and just enough angst to keep me hooked without tipping into exhausting drama.
Anna’s rule (don’t even think about my brother) hung over everything, raising the stakes and making the eventual line crossing feel deliciously reckless. I appreciated that both Gemma and Max struggled with the consequences instead of brushing them off. It made the tension feel real.
Is it predictable? Yes. Did I care? Not even a little.
This was spicy, indulgent, and ridiculously readable. The kind of book you breeze through with a grin, whispering this is such a bad idea while hoping they do it anyway.
If you love billionaire energy, forbidden tension, and slow burn spice wrapped in luxury, this one’s absolutely worth reading.
The Suite Secret by Tierney Page 💜 (London Hearts Book #2)
ARC REVIEW Release: January 13th
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow! I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I had a great time with this book and I think I enjoyed this one a lot due to the office/workplace romance aspect….forbidden, spicy scenes in the office like yessss 🥵🤌🏼
The tension between these two was everything. The spice was incredibly done and I was living for it. These two were perfect for each other and I really enjoyed my time watching them fall in love. There’s just something about a billionaire romance that has me all in my feels, it’s just that the MMC would do anything for the FMC and money wise…he spoils her and as he should 🤌🏼 Miss Gemma had trust issues but i’m so proud of her for opening herself up and overcoming her demons.
I did think some scenes were cringey and were hard to read, like the constant mention about 💨 with the girl group, the wedding shop scene 🙈…some scenes just wasn’t necessary.
I also found the love confession scene in the bath to be so rushed, it kinda just came out so fast and random and didn’t feel genuine. Though the angst after that was everything, I could feel the emotions and anger through the pages so I guess that’s forgiven. The third act pissed me off but I knew it was coming but the second third act sent me…I was like Gemma girl stop running away 🤣
Overall I had a really good time with this book. It surprised me since it’s my first i’ve read from this author, i’m definitely intrigued on the next and Anna’s love story 💜 This can definitely be read as a standalone, I did it and it was perfect.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
The Suite Secret is book 2 of the London Hearts series by Tierney Page. And let me tell you, I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I loved it!
Gemma has a great life with her dream job and amazing friends, but when it comes to her dating life, she prefers no strings attached. Max has a career that revolves around luxury hotels, so he likes to travel and has no interest in settling down. But when Max and Gemma have to work together, their chemistry is instant. There is only one problem. Max is Gemma’s best friend’s brother and is therefore, off limits. But maybe the temptation worth the risk…
Read this one if you love: 💜workplace romance 💜best friend’s brother 💜forbidden romance 💜forced proximity 💜found family 💜hilarious banter 💜lots of tension 💜super spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 💜dual POV
Gemma’s insane dating adventures were one of my favorite parts of book 1 of this series. So I knew Gemma’s book would be good before I even opened it, but it honestly exceeded expectations! We do get a spicy romance about two people not looking for love but this story is so much deeper than that. Both Gemma and Max have had traumatic relationship experiences in the past which is why they are both so closed off. So watching their love story play out was an emotional roller coaster. Their book was spicy and fun but also just so heartfelt. I loved it! (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫)
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the opportunity to read an eARC of The Suite Secret in exchange for my honest review.
I devoured the first book and absolutely loved it, so it felt like I’d been waiting forever for this sequel… but wow, it was so worth the wait.
Gemma is a sexy, independent woman who works hard and enjoys her carefree after-hours flings. Enter Max - her best friend Anna’s brother - who she immediately pegs as gorgeous, arrogant, and absolutely off-limits. Forced to work together on the same project, their late-night meetings start to blur every line. The tension builds, the chemistry snaps, and suddenly they can’t stay away from each other. Their wild desires match perfectly, and the way they challenge each other in the bedroom? Whew. What starts as a secret fling behind Anna’s back slowly turns into something deeper… something real. But Max is leaving, and Anna is bound to find out.
💭 If you’re craving a book with a looooot of spice, this one delivers. Tierney knows exactly what her readers want, and she gives it to us unapologetically. A strong storyline, delicious tropes, emotional depth, and an abundance of hot, sexy scenes - it’s the perfect combo. The ending felt a bit repetitive plot-wise, but honestly? I was so hooked it didn’t even matter. I was fully invested in Gemma and Max learning to trust again and letting real feelings in. It’s beautiful, messy, and addictive.
And now… Anna’s story, please. I’m sensing a sports romance + single dad energy and I need it.
Thank you so much to Tierney and NetGalley for the review copy!
I liked The Suite Life way more than I expected! It follows Gemma, who lands her dream opportunity at a luxury hotel chain — and finds herself working alongside Max, her best friend’s older brother. Cue all the tension, banter, and off-the-charts chemistry you could want. What starts as a forbidden, flirty setup turns into something emotional and real, with plenty of humour and heartwarming moments along the way.
Gemma completely stole the show for me. She’s hilarious, confident, and totally unashamed of who she is or what she wants, but she’s also got this tender, emotional side that made me really connect with her. I went through so many feelings with her!
And that moment when Max chases after her? Pure “if he wanted to, he would” vibes. It showed just how much he loved her and added the perfect hit of angst.
The only small downside for me was the ex-wife subplot — it felt a bit disjointed at times — but I still appreciated what the author was aiming for.
Overall, this was a steamy, emotional, and surprisingly heartfelt read. Easy to get into, fun to follow, and full of chemistry. If you love your romance with heat, humour, and a touch of angst, The Suite Life totally delivers.

Thank you to net galley and little brown book group for the digital arc
I have followed Tierney on social media for a long time and after reading her first book, The Other Brother, I was delighted to receive a review copy for The Suite Secret. Needless to say, I devoured it in less than 24 hours and even though it's not going to win the booker prize, I think it's more than a formidable representative for the genre!
Gemma and Max, are great main characters, well fleshed out and they both come with a lot of baggage, so when their paths cross and sparks fly, you don't just enjoy the front row seat at watching them fall for each other, you also root for them to accept, process and deal with the issues of the past in order to move forward, which I thought was delivered very well. The supporting characters are all lovable and I found myself invested in their stories (I can't wait to read Anna's story next!) and massively enjoyed how involved Anna, Gemma and April are in each others lives and how messy it got.
The spice was spicing and Tierney did not disappoint (with some of her signature catch phrases making it on to the page, yay!) and the ending left me with a huge smile on my face. I had a really good time with this book and I will definitely pick up the next one. I highly recommend this to anyone who's looking for a fun and easy read. Many thanks to Tierney Page, Little Brown Book and NetGalley for my review copy, all opinions are my own.
