Dylan has survived life under a dome. A group of gargoyles who wanted to turn her into a weapon against Luc and Lily, the leaders of a war raging against humans. A group of angels who also wanted to use her gifts as a weapon to save not just the humans, but all the supernatural beings caught up in the war. She even survived a battle waged on her own home turf. Now, two years later, Dylan will have to face her darkest nightmare: the loss of her soulmate.

Wyatt and Dylan have a difficult history. She was never sure if she could trust him and he was never sure of her abilities. But they fought side by side and drew strength from one another. With Wyatt at her side, Dylan was able to defeat Luc and Lily. But she failed to make the choice she was told was hers, and hers alone. Dylan was supposed to make a choice between allowing the humans to survive, or to allow for the annihilation of the human race in favor of her own race of human/angel hybrids.

Stiles returns to tell Dylan that the time has come for her to make that choice. The place to start, is by solving the riddle of why Wyatt’s aunt, Rachel, appeared in their time as a five year old girl when she died thirty years before at the age of eleven. But on the journey to find answers from Rachel, Wyatt is murdered by Dylan’s former foe, Luc, in revenge for Lily’s death on the battlefield.

Wyatt was a source of strength to Dylan. Will she be able to continue without him? Will she be able to see the truth, to make a choice, without Wyatt’s support? Will she even want to?

I'm on book 3, so that should be a clue I really like this series =)

I am so anchored into the characters now, I want to read all of Brenda Harper's books. I'm not even the series type, so I think that should be an indication that it's a phenomenal series worth checking out Very satisfied. =)

S bit of a let down from the first 3 stories. A lot of introspection and philosophical going on for Dylan and her compatriots as they attempt to form a fair and representative government after their victory at the end of the last story; and of course the inevitable political divides begin to show. Also, as should be expected when dealing with supernatural beings, no one who gets "killed" is truly dead, including the leaders of the war against the humans.

I felt there was too much thought and not enough action given the nonstop action from the 1st 3 stories.

oh my god, can i cry while reading a book? is that normal. Don't make me feel all the crazy feels :( !! (81% done)

What! HOW? WHY?
Like I mean, why would you do this to me!? OH MY DEAR LORD.
I've got to take the night to think of a proper review, however wow.

Good finale, that is probably all I can say.

I hoped for the ending, however I didn't expect the ending!

There was no stopping once I started

I was hooked as soon as I started reading the first page. I love this series. I did not expect luc to regain his humanity after he became a major part of the war and trying to take out Wyatt and Dylan. A lot happened and because there was trouble with the councils hopefully things will start looking better now that Dylan made her choice.

It was ok!

I thought the book skipped around a lot. Every time you start the next book she goes into detail about the book before it. Very hard to keep up. The next series to this series ( Angels and Demons) I read book 1 skipped through as it was constantly going back to the other books. I found it to be Bradley written like the author was in a hurry to get it out!!!
