I was given an ARC for an honest review.
“No more running all the time, no more hiding.” He held me tight. “Just easy days. Predictable days of work followed by lazy afternoons at the creek. This is how my life would be. With you.”
I was so excited to start this installment, knowing we were finally going to meet Prentiss's boyfriend, Jackson. Going into this book i felt we already knew him pretty well with all the flash backs. But things are not always what they seem. Prentiss has always held Jackson to be her knight and shining armor, who would never do her wrong. But throughout this book we come to learn Jackson may not be as perfect as he seems. So in the midst of fighting who to believe and finding a way to escape, she learns more information and backstory from Gallatin. Why he and his people are there, and what they want. Gallatin really opens up to Prentiss in this book. Which made me fall for him a little more. He wants so badly to live a life where he can be free do what he wants, and be with whomever he wants. But what we want and what we get are not always the same thing. Prentiss all the while is still planning her escape and fighting her growing feelings for Gallatin. I will say that she and Gallatin share a kiss or two in this book, and it was the sweetest and most beautiful moment to happen between them by far. Gallatin completely won me over on that one. As the book goes on, she loses some one close to her that makes her look at everything and everyone differently. She is hit with a betrayal from the one she has grown to trust and doesn't know who to believe in anymore. Just when her luck seems to be running out, she finds Jackson being held captive and her chance at escape has been handed to her from the one who she thought betrayed her. Now that its time for her to escape with Jackson the one she has always loved and their friend D'LO, she is finding it hard to say goodbye to Gallatin after everything they have been through. But knowing this is the only way to freedom and to help for her friends and family, she makes the one and only choice that is right for her and them. Will Jackson be the help she needs? Are the rumors about him true? Will she ever see Gallatin again? What will happen to her family and friends if she can't make it to them on time?
This series is a must read. Don't miss out.

Minor spoilers alert!!!
The truth exploded all over this fourth installment of Beyond The Stars as Prentiss finally learns about Gallatin’s true nature and the reason why his people invaded her small town.
“I’m here because of Cato.” He walked around the side of the water to our spot in the sun. “She dragged me to this location against my will.” Gallatin
It’s hard to say more about what Gallatin reveals without giving away too much of it.
Someone Prentiss cares about dies and another does something radical. Gallatin is there for her both times, easily demonstrating the closeness he feels for her. Prentiss reflects again on how she feels about Gallatin and her unofficial fiancé, Jackson.
‘We wanted the same things – our own place, family, peace. He called me strong. He watched everything I did and truly saw me, not what I needed to become or how I need to change. He saw me as I was, and he was proud of me. He said I was smart, and he wanted me to be a doctor. He told me his wishes and dreams, his hopes for us – dreams I’d been watching slip away between Jackson and me in the past months. Things I didn’t believe could grow so fast and be so strong…’ Prentiss
Overall, my favorite moments were when Gallatin explained his people’s history and how he got the scar on his face. And I loved the last thing Gallatin says to Prentiss as she decides to stick to her original escape plans.
“You’re an amazing person, and I hope you find your dreams, Prentiss. However you remember me, I want you to know, I’ll never forget you.” Gallatin

Oh man. This episode was so fraught with emotions, I don't even know what to do with myself right now. THE FEELS! Way to not pull any punches, Leigh!

There are a TON of questions being answered, but if you think it'll make matters more simple, you've got another thing coming. Now I'm just more confused! Gallatin seems so much like a good guy, who wants all the same things as Prentiss does, BUT... a relationship between them can never be simple. Life changing decisions have been made, and they can't be taken back. Nothing will ever be the same between them again.
Prentiss is becoming stronger and more determined. She is finally able to begin putting the pieces of the puzzle together. That means she can make some moves towards escape, but Gallatin! With the blazing eyes, and the scorching hot chemistry! *pout* I absolutely love how conflicted Prentiss is with her choices! Life doesn't always hand you an ideal situation so you have to make do with what you have. I'm just not sure that she made the right choice...
Only time will tell.

MY REVIEW (5/5 stars) What can I say! This author pulled it out of the bag and threw us for a loop this time. This section was shorter as only 61 pages for chapters 16-20, however, the impact of the details were explosive! Spoilers are here at a minimum for review only- so do not read if you don't want to know.
Cato has given Gallatin bad news about the same time frame as Prentiss gets bad news also. Gallatin shows his feelings more with Prentiss but then again, she realizes she cares too. They comfort each other with good or bad. Jackson is alive! He shows up - will there be an issue between all three????
The one thing that came out is the truth...the details that Prentiss has been hunting for and her desire to escape has to be the issue that as the reader, we want to know. Is she going for it or is she going to stick around for Gallatin? The rest of her neighbors and friends are counting on her as a savior type leader. She has been the one to motivate, to be strong, to rally - will this continue now that Jackson has been found? I can hardly wait till the next episode comes out!!!!!!

OK, so this installment has made me question who I really like in this book (i.e., Jackson or Gallatin). This book gives you a more in depth look at what is going on, and why they took the towns people. You also see a side of Gallatin that I never saw coming at all. In previous books that Leigh has written, I have been pretty adamant about who I liked and who I loved. Who I thought should be together, and who is just there for "fun". I can say that as of right now I am completely torn on who I love in this book. There is more action in this book, and yes, you might have to get some tissues. But, you can still feel the emotion and the excitement in here as well. Leigh hasn't let up from the feelings that she is feeling while writing this book. It has a perfect pace and it doesn't rush at all. She is taking her time with each installment. This series is getting even better. I am waiting patiently for the next installment. I won't wait long because I really need to know what is going to happen!!

As Prentiss' learns more of the captivity situation, and the motives and reasoning for everything...something tragic happens and she starts further questioning whether to trust Gallatin or not.
Well dagum...I wanted to hate Gallatin. TeamJackson right?
As much as we want to hate Gallatin for who he is and everything that has happened, it's kind of hard when he's so different from what we expected.
While Prentiss deals with whether or not to trust Gallatin or if she should believe everything he has told her, another tragedy hits, causing heart ache but also more secrets to surface and Prentiss starts to put the puzzle pieces together.
Can Prentiss figure everything out? Can she save her friends and family? Where will her heart lead her?
We were so glad to read Jackson. We were finally able to grab hold of the Romance aspect that everyone was patiently waiting for in the Behind the Stars Series. I give this book a 4.5 <3

Loved it. The suspense is building while answered are becoming more clear. This volume is full of emotional moments .
Prentsis has discover information that allows an escape possible but is she ready to leave with so many new discoveries. As her captor gives her hope, Prentsis and Gallatin's friendship becomes stronger allowing her to even trust him.
As the relationship grows, secrets are realized leaving Prentsis heart broken renewing her fight to escape when the truth about her captors and what they are capable of comes to light.
Prentsis plans her escape but stumbles upon the one thing that can change her mind.
I cant wait to get the next installment...

Omg this series keeps getting better and better. I need to know what is going to happen next. My emotions are so conflicted right now.
Prentiss is falling for Gallatin, but knows she shouldn't be. She has Jackson then guy she's been with for years. She finally gets answers to questions, but she thinks they are lies. She wants to believe Gallatin, but it's hard. After a tragic event she knows she needs to find a way to save everyone. But she doesn't know how with the band of rogues out there. Who's side are they one? Will they help her?
This is an amazing serial and I cannot was to read the rest of the series! This is a must read series!!

Another great segment of Behind The Stars! You find out more and get some questions answered but now emotions are getting involved and feelings are causing confusion! This is playing out so well and keeps me guessing! I love the shortness of each novel. You are given enough to keep your interest and you are delving in and BOOM it's over and I need the next installment!! Can't wait to see where Prentiss is headed!

I'm in love with this series. This Episode starts to pull together what we've been trying to see. With the title of the book, I expected to meet Jackson but had no idea just what he would bring to the situation. Things start to turn. Hang on for the ride people. It's worth it!!

This book is summarized as Episode 4 because it begins with chapter sixteen, where Episode 3 concluded, and ends on chapter twenty. Prentiss is now very close to Gallatin and she is confused about her mixed feelings. Jackson has never made her feel like her dreams mattered, not like Gallatin. He always told her what she should do instead of allowing her to make her own decisions. When something terrible happens with Braxton and Flora, her brother and best friend, she is forced to rethink everything that Gallatin has told her in confidence.
I was heartbroken towards the end of the Episode because Gallatin has already informed Prentiss that his stay is very short and then they will forget everything that they have been forced to live through over the past few weeks. The author really captures Prentiss and Gallatin's emotions with a genuine and raw need for each other, but where does that leave Jackson? Even though Gallatin and his people are not from Planet Earth and they have imprisoned humans to work for them on their farm as a means to hide, I find that I sympathize with Gallatin and Cato the most. They truly seem like the horrible things that are starting to happen were never meant to and they are starting to appear as victims.
Both Gallatin and Prentiss show their own mourning and grief in this Episode which leads them to each other. This notion alone makes me feel excitement about reading the next Episode. Jackson always seems so boring to me and Gallatin is so intriguing, intelligent, and compassionate for life. My loyalties to the characters have shifted since Episode 1 and I am hoping for a certain ending but the author may throw a curve ball. I recommend this book to primarily women, even though this has a tinge of science-fiction, the romance is building which may push men away from the structure of the story. I give this five stars because the story keeps getting better and better!

Prentiss has come to realize that she is falling in love with Gallatin. She in conflicted with this since she knows she is supposed to love Jackson. The thing is she is starting to question that love because she has never felt the way she does with Gallatin when she is with Jackson.
Prentiss realizes that instead of really gather information she has been playing in the afternoon and swimming. She decides to fix this but things take a turn for the worse when Gallatin tells her who he really is and that they will be leaving soon. Prentiss’ heart breaks but then she gets even worse news and is conflicted about loving Gallatin when his people’s presence created such a loss for her.
Prentiss is starting to question her relationship with Jackson. What she knew as love is not the same as what she is feeling with Gallatin. She is brought back to reality when she realizes how many people are relying on her to get them out of the camp and she hasn’t been doing that. She is also conflicted between love and hate when she learns what Gallatin and Cato are doing and how they will be leaving soon.

In this episode, Prentiss and Gallatin become more closer.
This time Prentiss is able to know the truth about why she and her friends are prisoners, who really is Gallatin and what's going on.
The truth is not easy for Prentiss because of the feelings she has for Gallatin. Infact, their relationship now is changed.
Prentiss in this episode has to deal with two sad things, but I don't want to say what they are. But there is something good. I give you a hint about this good thing. You can read it in the title. The title says everything.
I really like this story. While you are reading, you think 'oh, now it's everything calm. Nothing will happen', it's the moment you are wrong. Everything could happen.
And....Go Gallatin!!
In this episode, Prentiss and Gallatin become more closer.
This time Prentiss is able to know the truth about why she and her friends are prisoners, who really is Gallatin and what's going on.
The truth is not easy for Prentiss because of the feelings she has for Gallatin. Infact, their relationship now is changed.
Prentiss in this episode has to deal with two sad things, but I don't want to say what they are. But there is something good. I give you a hint about this good thing. You can read it in the title. The title says everything.
I really like this story. While you are reading, you think 'oh, now it's everything calm. Nothing will happen', it's the moment you are wrong. Everything could happen.

Prentiss and Gallatin become closer in this book. Because of this Prentiss finally gets some answers about there situation from Gallatin. After she learns the truth she has a hard time dealing with and believing it. Once again Leigh packs a lot of action and emotions in a short novella. There are some tragic moments in this book. Prentiss is trying to deal with her feelings for Gallatin, the events that happens and the secrets that are being kept. At the end of the book she finds out what happened to Jackson. Another great installment in a series that keeps you reading. Love that Leigh is not making us wait to long for the next installment.

In the 4th episode of Behind the Stars, things start to get real. We now know who Gallatin is, and how he reacts to bad news. We finally meet Jackson. And Prentiss doesn't know what she's going to do, even though she's discovered all the secrets. As we make our way towards the conclusion, I can't help but wonder what is going to happen next?

The plot just keeps getting better as the story continues to play out. What will the outcome be? This is a great book! At times it's hard to know who to root for, which makes for a thrilling read! Can't wait for the next installment. It's that good!
