Rate this book
Hayden always knew ascension to full demonhood was NOT going to be easy.

Getting used to a new existence as a creature made of mana and Emotion is hard enough. Too bad Hayden also has deadly demonic politics and a mysterious legacy from his mother to worry about. Besides, even as an actual demon, Hayden still isn’t safe. To acquire the power necessary to feel remotely secure in his new life, he has to climb the demonic ranks.

He has to become a noble.

Conquering the icy world of Breskwor could be the key. But between menacing figures from his past and shadowy secrets locked beneath the ice, Hayden may have bit off more than he can swallow.

Thankfully, he’s got a small group of strong ‘allies’ to back him up. With the help of new gear, new skills, and a startling new secret resource, Hayden just might be able to claw his way to the top.

Whether he can stay sane… that’s another story.

By it was OK I wouldn't really call it great. Too heavy on emotions & mc dependency on Mia became disturbing & of putting needs them doing more own things. His reaction to Wilhelmina made no sense she had not done anything that bad & certainly nothing to inspire such hate, cruelty & just pettiness at all.

And way way too much hugging, holding hands extra made hard get through.
(Especially when that was most of the book)

Could say more but I'll leave it hear.

Like the book but dont love it. Too fuzzy? Full of warmth and stuff at certain parts.

I felt work relation to friendly relations with certain demons could have been handled better. Its too fast. Especially how much difference between mortal and demon is.

And underdog, negelected demons annpyed me a little.

Great Series!

Keeps getting better and I love it. The characters are really human, mixed with demon, and I’m enjoying the intermixing.

Really looking forward to seeing the characters continue to grow in new ways, and where the story goes next.

Fresh and Engaging

Demonic culture!?! Something different here, and by no means a progression slog. I kept reading from one through three. Not often does one come upon something new in the realm of fantasy.
