Rate this book
Have you ever had a conversation that changed your life?

You might not realize it, but they happen all the time.

Think back to the job interview you nailed (or blew). The date that went perfectly (or broke down completely.) Or the random encounter with that person who turned out to be your best friend (or the countless others that didn’t). Mere seconds of conversation have the power to alter the course of your life.

It’s miraculous then that we are never taught HOW to conduct conversations. How to navigate them so that we get more of the jobs, dates, and best friends we want. It’s as if the world believes amazing conversational skills can’t be learned.

Captivate shatters that belief. Inside you'll

Read Captivate and you’ll learn how to have conversations that stand out in people’s minds and make you someone they never want to forget.

Completely excellent book! It provides great points on how to turn an awkward moment into an interactive conversation. There are so many great tips I learned, and I'll definitely start implementing them while I chat with people. I'm hoping to become more engaging while talking, than my usual quiet self currently allows me. I'm much better off now with knowing how to make a good impression and make some great conversational habits.

I liked this book a lot, and it was hard to give it only 2 stars, but...

There's just 1 thing I don't like about this book. There's some "rough" language used in it. Vulgar words aside, this would have been my go-to guide that I would refer to every week and pass around to a few friends.

Quick easy read. Something to skim through maybe every year or two. I've already implemented most of these things. It's more of a fresh reminder of what I can do to make people feel more comfortable when talking g to me and building a deeper connection.

Decent book

I'll need to try these new ideas in real life. Seems plausible that they may work in the real world.
