365 Devotions to Embrace What Matters Most: Rediscover Joy and Passion in Your Life

Rate this book
This daily devotional puts life into perspective, reminding you not to dwell on earthly matters of little importance, but to spend time each day connecting with God these are the moments that matter the most.

Time can get away from us. Sometimes time seems to go on forever when we feel like our work day will never end, the bus will never arrive, or standing in a seemingly endless line at the supermarket. But, the older we get, we realize that our minutes become hours, days become months, years become decades, and suddenly half of our life has passed by and we wonder where the time went, and more importantly, how we actually spent that time. Did we see the world and discover its wonders? Or did we waste it, moving from one favorite TV show to the next?

Well, the clock hasn t stopped yet. Pause for a moment each day and spend a little time reflecting on the things that matter. This 365-day devotional will help realign your priorities and focus your energy on what truly matters, your relationship with God and those you love.

Think deeply on what matters. And then take steps to live a life that matters. Because your life goes by in a blink, but what matters most eternity lasts forever.

I bought this expecting to be more of a God and bible based devotional, and was sadly disappointed. That's not to say the messages in this book aren't true, but they just were more pieces of advice with random bible verses quoted occasionally. I felt like this was more of a self help, motivational book rather than the devotional I was anticipating. The book is super cute on the outside and very easy to read. Just wouldn't recommend if you're looking for an in depth, biblical devotion!

I won this book through goodreads giveaways.

Really good messages, thoughts, passages. Something g you can go back to often when you need an uplifting thought.

Read throughout the year to get a passage or two each day depending on what I needed. Will look back on this book again and again.

Definitely recommend it

Another yearly devotional done! I enjoyed reading this one at the end of each day before going to bed. It helped me settle my mind and heart before resting. I felt like it wasn’t as scripture-focused, but still full of wonderful reminder about what matters in life.

Simple but profound!

Have a busy life and little time for contemplating what God has in store for you? This devotional will encourage you to focus on things that matter most. In a short, concise but meaningful meditation, you will come away refreshed and focused on the day ahead!

Odd. This was just not the devotional for me. I found it so odd that this marketing of this is obviously to women with the flowers on the cover, but it's written by a man. There is no talk of motherhood, anything to do with being a woman. I don't get why it wasn't marketed like a man could read it too? I know a man would never pick up this book with flowers on the cover though.

This one just really missed the mark for me. Each week has a theme and there's a few different sections with themes that all relate. Some themes were super good, but others really didn't have any Christian perspective and were just the author's opinions, which were sometimes kind of harsh imo. Some days had more of a "feel good, here's how to be a good person" message, not a Biblical one or one rooted in something in the Bible. I questioned this as being an appropriate source of "Biblical" information after a few months and did not finish it.

If you're looking for great devotionals that are short like this, Joyce Meyer or Lysa TerKeurst are much better and of sound Biblical teaching that doesn't stray into random opinions.

This is a wonderfullly written book. Persons of all ages can read it. Right now my Daughter and Granddaughter are in possession of it and not in a hurry to return it. I had to finish reading it at their house. The energy this book contains and builds within, will run throughout your mind and body days and months after you are done with it. Just because its named '365 days' makes no difference, as you read it, whenever you need the quote the most, it returns to give you strength. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did and do. Awesome book!!
